Will you be aware if you’ve sold your soul?
If you’ve gone down that road, and you can’t find your way back?
If you’re far gone from the spiritual, moral and ethical track?
The mind is very powerful and we can hide from ourselves.
Justify why and how we got there.
When you don’t plug the small holes they are likely to grow.
A leak becomes a flood before we know.
Which makes it much more difficult to handle and control.
When you minimize a wrong
You give it life to expand to more sinister.
Power and sustenance to the wrong-doer.
It signals a willingness to participate in the wrong-doers game.
Then your hand gets forced to continue the course.
It comes in late that you try to escape
But you’re already tied in, like you’re gambling.
Perhaps you think it’s time to get out
But that thinking makes you stop.
Recognizing that you’re a willing and able participant.
In so deep you have much to lose.
You’re now on the side of the accused.
But that truth is often hard to bear.
So you pretend it isn’t there.
At times it’s pride why you won’t step aside.
Or you don’t want to look weak.
Sometimes it’s because of the image that you seek.
Then before you know, you’re exposed.
You’ve already sold your soul.
So before you take your first steps.
Consider the consequences of the next.
You can hide or try to disguise your tainted soul.
But in the end, you and your soul know.
And at some level, reality shows.
