We often aren’t hesitant to force our beliefs on others.
Although we don’t want them to put theirs on us.
That’s why we should practice tolerance.
When there is someone in power
Who forces or enforces what aligns with your belief or opinions.
Especially in terms of ideology and religion.
You should know that on someone’s go
Whatever rises to the throne
Opens the way for another power to show.
If and when it occurs,
Would you be gracious to their changes?
It would only be just and fair.
It’s their turn – so what they say should go then.
When you permit yourself to judge others.
You agree for others to do the same to you.
When you demand implementation of your beliefs and your truth.
Those of others can enter too.
Even what you disagree with and deem to be horrid.
Can use the same passageway that you contorted.
So if what you choose is not based in good or with fact.
It will be harder to fight back,
When others too choose evil and demand equal.
How can you deny them that fight?
When for yourself the same already took flight.
So often we wait for a loss to hit home.
Before we show any concern.
But by listening and observing we can chart the course –
That if it happened to them, it can happen to us.
Over and over this lesson is told.
So why choose to follow such a road?
