With redistricting and gerrymandering, the reality is –
It takes less votes for Republicans to win.
But the sad part is –
This minority lead has caused wide spread suffering.
Not a representation of what the majority of Americans want.
But with the blessings of their Party members
And their cheating ways, they’ve continued to move forward.
Even having an insurrection on the lie of a stolen election.
And instead of Republicans taking a correction to the people
They perpetuate that Biden’s win was illegal.
Bowing to requests to uphold those who protect THEIR President.
And those who speak truth or criticize him are censored.
So empowered, so emboldened.
State Republican lawmakers going rogue.
Targeting Black and Brown neighborhoods –
Making it more difficult for them to vote.
So after losing an election.
Instead of finding real solutions to woo people to them.
Their way again is to change the system.
Fiddle with the legislation.
Continually siding with corrupt.
Engaging in obstruct.
Directly aiming for unfair and unjust.
When Republicans reject a Democrat proposal
They don’t come up with one of their own.
Easy to throw stones.
Quick to hit out, and that’s where they stop.
But the problems don’t just go away
After they say the solutions shouldn’t stay.
But solutions haven’t been their aim.
Grievances, blame, inflame and shame.
Unfair tactics, sinister doings, twisted phrasings.
They embellish their worth.
Manipulate the path for their political growth.
Keeping their voters in hold.
So tuned in now – they just absorb what they are told.
That’s where Republican leaders and their voters stand.
Leveraging only for their perceived upper-hand.
Never mind the future their now will bring.
Never mind America and her World standing.
And unfortunately it’s understood –
They aim to bring down certain Americans and their neighborhoods.
For them, power trumps all.
Their lead, their call.
Party before democracy.
Their foundation – lies and conspiracies.
Welcoming the base of White Supremacists and Trump worshippers.
You don’t need and interpreter.
Their words are clear.
They are here and aren’t going anywhere.
A Party takeover by Trump and his loyalists.
Not hesitating to play favorites.
Florida’s DeSantis demands for shot in arms to affluent zip-codes.
Those more likely to give him their votes.
Trump did the same.
Trying to favor red States.
No longer for Americans.
Only for conservatives and Republicans.
But no longer conservative in relation to governing and fiscal.
Those limitations now align with their tolerance and negative emotions.
They decided on this remake for themselves.
And now they want to invoke their vision
Of how it should be for everyone else.
No longer wanting traditional solutions.
Their idea of improvement is to change the systems.
Tipping and tapering to their favor.
If against, to them you’re a traitor.
This new Republican Party look
Is a preface to what is written in their book.
What they believe and want to be –
Willing into being.
What they want as real and for US to see.
Ensuring it’s their vision we will be seeing.
Come hell or high water.
Death, destruction or slaughter.
And if America(ns) continue to make concessions.
She (we) will be at the mercy of their sordid intentions.
