How can you be kind, when in your mind, the presence of others is a threat to you?
And you believe their do is to cancel you.
Infringe on your neighborhood, take away from your livelihood.
And the government they choose is out to do you harm.
But you are readily charmed by a man who affirmed all of this to be so.
And for that, it’s his Party that you follow.
You can’t align with Biden because you think he stole the election.
That he was responsible for the insurrection.
You believe that he and his Party are Communists and Socialist.
He’s not a moderate but a progressive, a left-wing extremist.
And despite all of the contamination and desecration –
You readily cling to Trump.
It is him that you seek your guidance from.
Believing in him all the way.
Your mind is made up and from that you don’t intend to stray.
How many who think like this, escaped Castro’s grip?
Saw through him and his brainwashing?
Likely swearing to themselves they will never be taken there again.
Not realizing that they are now being manipulated.
As an alternate reality is being created.
Words and actions that are purposeful and calculated.
Using the trauma and fears.
But these exiles are blind to it and to where they are being led.
Many are led to believe that truth is hoax.
And they don’t realize how they are being coaxed.
From the other side, they readily believe the lies.
Even when there is an abundance of inconsistencies
And evidence to the contrary.
But when you wear blinders that make you vulnerable to deception.
Others can easily influence your perception.
When you are led to believe you are being taken advantage of.
And your guard has already been up.
You tend to become more defensive.
Often leading you to a more narrow perspective.
It’s on the likes of these that Trump and Republicans prey.
Open for them to manipulate.
At times in our lives we feel we’re at a stand-still.
And we can’t figure out why it is we’re not moving.
Usually it’s because we hold ourselves back.
Or we’ve given others the power to do that.
At times it’s our own say and do
That brings limitations to what we (think we can) choose.
And we experience limited gains
Because of the box we place ourselves in.
If we fill a gas tank that has holes.
It’s not likely that we will get far when we hit the road.
If we keep trying to put out the fire but keep the arsonist around.
Eventually whatever it is we’re trying to save
Will end up burning to the ground.
If we try to better ourselves but we let an abuser tear us down.
We will never feel as strong as we could or were meant to be.
They reap benefits while we pay the penalties.
The acceptance of the illogical now plague many Republicans.
They get easily confused by the trickery their leaders use.
Brainwash, discredit, demean.
That’s the Republican formula to deceive.
Taking pages from “The Manipulation by Trump” –
Other Republican leaders twist voters so much, they can’t tell which way is up.
Voting against their best interest and conscience.
To cause more unrest for themselves and others.
They get so turned around
They stay with what feels like their feet are on the ground.
Often that’s when they go back to what they know.
Like staying in the Republican zone.
Then they streamline in their minds.
Whatever it takes, to occupy their safe place.
Even accepting the illogical and nonsensical.
Or what goes against their principles.
And if needed, they change the rules.
Find whatever excuse.
They try to hide behind hollow words.
But the hypocrisy and lack of integrity that follows always shows.
Even the blind can see when there is hypocrisy.
And the vulnerable may know that it is crap they’re being sold.
Some may not care.
They jump on board, wanting to be there.
Unfortunately some may lack the knowledge, resources or power.
To have their objection be stronger.
Or they behave and do what they learned –
To be helpless and just succumb to being overthrown.
They too have grown to minimize their worth.
Even to believing that whatever they say, do or choose won’t count.
That effect on them is paramount.
It’s not just that they are vulnerable or poor.
And that some experience monetary loss.
The quality of life and loss of intangibles are built into the cost.
People not feeling valued or safe.
In their own Country, for some their birth-place.
With that feel of displacement,
There have and will continue to be effects to their descendants.
Generations of broken citizens is what America has been witnessing.
But many Americans have been dismissing.
Shouldn’t we stay with humane and aim to lift the spirit?
Instead Republicans go for degrading and killing it.
Americans no longer in sync –
With who they are and what they are believing.
Leaders taking hold for their advantage and control.
And citizens eagerly follow.
Believing that “alternate facts’ exist – Made possible by brainwashing.
Repeating whatever their leaders say – Brainwashing on full display.
How else can it be explained –
That a man like Trump is a specimen for admiration and worshipping?
