Now that privileged and White are feeling disenfranchised –
They want change, demand and expect quick results.
But when it doesn’t come soon enough
They are not afraid or ashamed to take matters into their hands.
Not hesitating to use violence.
The grievances from the White and Right
Have been from their perception that their fellowmen and leaders
Are losing sight of them.
That they are becoming less important, less relevant.
They see their power and dominance shrinking.
Even to the point of experiencing an existential crisis.
They deny any advantage or that there is privilege.
But to believe that these don’t exist –
You either wear blinders or live under a bridge.
Without advantage or privilege
They would not have been able to grab so much power.
Divide and conquer.
Confuse and conjure.
Blur the lines for social, cultural and political.
Muddy the waters.
Bewilder their supporters.
Create distraction and noise.
Use force for their choice.
For years the GOP have had and gave themselves the upper hand.
Especially through State legislations.
Limiting what Democrats could and want to do.
And by their actions, Republicans have been emboldened too.
They are validated not only for what they did
But for their feel, perceive and think.
And their charted course has been solidified even more.
It’s not that the Republicans have a base of support.
It’s that the base is there no matter what.
Giving leeway to so much, even to what they should not.
It’s a dangerous permit to anyone, especially politicians.
When Republicans say with anger and hate.
Somehow it never translates to people’s actions.
When people act, it’s of their own cognizance.
Never from the influence of Trump or Republicans.
Even when there is a direct link from their words to the person’s intent.
Republicans reject.
The insurgents say they were there acting on behalf of Trump.
Yet Republicans deny any connection.
But when Democrats utter a word, somehow it’s all powerful.
Miraculously it’s only Democrats’ words that have that effect.
To cancel others and deny them their First Amendment.
And promote violence.
Yet it’s been Republicans who can’t vote with their heart or conscience.
Else they get censored or brought down by their leaders and members.
McConnell, McCarthy and their goons
Use every method to get what they want through.
When Democrats try, they are demonized.
Even with usage of ethical and legal.
While the GOP escape with unspeakable and evil.
As many Republicans, including their limited number
of non-white lawmakers remain silent.
Easily able to stay on their mapped out course with defiance.
Branding others as haters and traitors.
While they’re the ones who are the manipulators and instigators.
Always an all-out assault for displace, blame and fault.
Not caring about damage done or for lives lost.
Seemingly now if you are White or identify with White and you have a grievance
You’ve been given the green light to take it out on who or what you want.
Mostly White stormed the Capitol feeling they were deprived of Trump.
One insurgent yelling blame to others
For what he was doing and what he had become.
Just like the White man Robert Long who said he had a sexual addiction.
So that gave him the Right to wipe out his temptation with a gun.
It’s not likely a coincidence that the victims were mainly women and Asian.
As a sub-conscious or conscious act.
Was his white skin so powerful that it detract from his heinous crime?
That Sheriff Baker described “And he was pretty much fed up and had been, kind of, at the end of his rope. And yesterday was a really bad day for him, and this is what he did.”
As if having a bad day gives you the Right to kill.
But then, for that color of skin, it seems to be happening.
Openly reaping the benefits while denying they exist.
Holding and using anger for personal and political gain.
Truly has been sickening to watch.
And it’s been on full display, so long, so much.
Would we be excusing so many attacks if the perpetrators were Black?
Historically, when it comes to anger, Black is what people see.
Whether or not it’s there or for real.
Yet at every stage of personal and political, White rage has been displayed.
Continually dismissed and explained.
Time and time again.
To the point of rapid boil that led to an explosion.
Even with that, the focus of anger is turned to Black.
Those who dismissed Kaepernick for taking a kneel.
But side with Trump and the GOP for Stop the Steal.
Those who deny the violence and the base of White Supremacy.
And their ideology, to which some Republican lawmakers are hooked.
And are trying to promote.
Somehow that is acceptable.
But a Black man putting light to a cause with a peaceful act
Is ostracized and attacked, never to bounce back.
But he can hold his head high as his heart and soul are clean.
He never compromised on reality or integrity.
Can’t say the same for many on the Right and the GOP.
The GOP will continue with their culture war politics
Because they have nothing else to show or give.
Continue to use anger as fuel, and fuel the anger.
