The Infections are Real

Even though there was no downturn for you from Covid-19.
It doesn’t mean that the virus and its effects weren’t real.
Some experienced devastation.
Lives lost and financial ruin.
More gone, as Trump and his Administration decided on deception and cruel.
More loss than should have been.
Living in a crime scene because they refused to come clean.
A deliberate withholding of information has led to death and other destruction.
Worse yet, Republicans are now blocking the recovery efforts.
That all comes with a cost which they’ve tried to pretend and excuse away.
But history will have a say and a place.
It’s not to be hidden or swept under the rug to be forgotten.
Nor should it be trivialized.
Inhumane needs to be recognized.
Else it will again raise its ugly head.
To the pretense that there is no corruption or incompetence.
No acknowledgement that much of what they’ve been doing doesn’t make sense.
Don’t be like Manchin and Sinema who engage in wishing and waiting games.
That Republicans will change.
When there is so much evidence, it is not their intension.
They have been steadfast that obstruction is their decision.
Their constant search to find fault and blame.
Rejecting solutions just based on the name of those who make the suggestions.
Not allowing good and growth from those they didn’t want to win the election.
Countering progression.
Blowing wind against America’s sails – Destabilizing.
Hammering at the door when the key is there to open.
Going with full force at beings that are already broken.
When slow and steady should be chosen.
Breaking glass when there is no emergency.
Standing back in situations that require urgency.
You won’t be on the path to heal.
If you keep denying you have a disease.
At times going against the grain is being stubborn, not brave.
Keeping to these tracks, will not bring peace and prosperity back.
You can’t battle real with pretend deals.
Force people to stand when they are determined to kneel.
Expect to reap benefits of charity when decisions are made from greed.
Standing back for normal to arrive is not a good strategy for survival.
At times you need to go with the flow.
Learn to be more flexible.
It’s now a rapidly changing world.
Attempting to stay with what you know and in the past.
Holding on to preferences, trying to make them last –
These are likely not good strategies.
Moving on, keeping intact your morals and integrity is often a better bet.
And it may just involve changing your mind-set.
But that mind-set must be rooted in truth.
You may easily lose truth.
But truth will always find you.
