As Republican goals are met.
It’s with chunks of America’s soul that they get.
And moves to forget about the founding fathers’ dream
for justice, fairness and equality.
Republicans now are not only deceptive in what they do.
They also defend their wrong-doings with untruths.
Selling what they implement as beneficial, right or normal.
When in fact it is detrimental, of spite and amoral.
They can lie all the way for political gain.
And openly deceive the American people.
Use tax-payers money so their lies can be sustained.
Even when there is no evidence and their case is extremely feeble.
Some still say they are for values and family.
Yet they stand behind the Party that sows division and lacks integrity.
They preach limited government spending.
Yet when they rule, government wastage is never ending.
They are for rule and law only when it suits them.
And try to under-score for their personal freedom.
Yet, to others, they aim to place limitations.
Injustice is what they promote.
Inequality in reaching the polls helps garner their votes.
They spend their time depressing and discouraging the opposition.
Pure disruption, sometimes destruction, in pursuit of their mission.
Attacks not limited to politics and policies.
It gets personal to individuals and to their families.
History is now political.
Truth in information is optional.
Facts are debatable.
People are expendable.
Freedom of speech – Well that depends on who, why, what and where.
They will disparage the message and put a spin to unfairly compare.
What’s for loss and who is to win – that may be a matter of skin color.
Or the amount of mighty dollars that you have or are willing to give.
And that to which you stay positive, negative or sensitive –
are likely to shift with the whims of the leadership.
Rules to implement are dependent on who is in charge of enforcement.
Improvements and gains are easier for those who join the provider’s chain.
That used to be a private sector deal.
Now too with the government seal.
But that which is acceptable in the private space.
Can be detrimental in government place.
Many left the Third World to escape just that.
Yet so many Americans are joining that pack.
Piling to their stack.
Corrupt looks less corrupt when you agree with what is in the lead.
Easier to stay with, when it’s your greed or justified need.
But the end result will be the same.
At some point there will be toppling.
Because with concentration of power to the top
It’s usually too much weight for the bottom to prop.
America still has to deal with the Insurgency that Republicans didn’t see.
The gun violence, they claim isn’t real.
The fact that Trump used “his” AG and DOJ to subpoena data from phones
and emails of reporters and Democratic lawmakers.
Not out of legal consideration.
Just pure political motivation.
As was the case when Barr continued to investigate to stop Bolton’s book.
They portrayed him as a traitor and a crook.
Even though the manuscript went through, cleared after thorough review.
Their attacks continued.
Suppress speech, harass and punish critics.
All in line with their dirty politics.
And Trump supporters getting in.
Threatening and intimidating poll workers and their families.
Election officials who certified that there was no election steal.
Despite political violence, injuries and deaths
Republicans and Trump haven’t taken a step back yet.
Not even an ounce of care.
Victory has to be theirs.
Americans seem to now change their perspective to align with what they’ve elected.
As Republican leaders change their go.
Constituents are going with that different flow.
It has been in contradiction to what America used to be.
And away from democracy.
The values that America was known for, that which was her course.
Are no longer a force.
Watered down, white-washed – whatever the call.
That which America was, is taking a fall.
Once America stood for right and Human Rights.
Liberty’s torch shone with pure light.
Now she bears shades of the Alt- and Extreme right.
Her message was peace, humanitarian and democracy.
Her case was integrity, unity and charity.
Her race embraced diversity.
Her base wasn’t about superiority.
Republicans have tainted her paint to different shades of their Red.
No longer to show America, seems like a copy of Russia instead.
It’s difficult for Putin to lose.
He plays by his own rules.
He is able to choose and not do.
And with the use of propaganda and lies, he’s been able to survive.
Copying from his book, Republicans are giving America this new look.
And many Americans are aligning themselves to this new leadership.
Re-writing America’s script.
Looking to the future – not to find common ground or unite.
Only to divide and spite.
Attacks are to America’s present government and to her citizens.
America is being weakened.
While Republicans keep their focus and poking to culture divide and wars.
Other countries are ably boosting their cause.
And are strengthened more.
Allies tentative with wait and see.
Although they like what Biden brings.
They are very aware that Republicans are still within striking range.
Looking for chances to re-arrange.
Knowing that America remains under attack by her own.
That Trump and his minions are working to conquer and occupy a throne.
They see that side to be alive and well with many more stories to tell.
Americans trashing what they have, in search of greener.
Wanting immediate pleasure.
Now trash, what used to be America’s cherished treasure.
As long as that truth looms.
America will function with limited tools.
And our allies will no longer be friends of democracy.
But as some wish, the likes of Russia, North Korea or Turkey.
The changes that are seen.
Carving and shaping purposefully.
And if other Americans continue to sleep.
That will become America’s reality.
