Many times, with cases of addiction, enablers spur the addict on.
That may not have been their intention.
They could mean well, but the addict gives a good sell.
Able to bait and manipulate.
And there are those who take advantage of the situation.
Leading the person.
Not out of care, but as opportunities to advance themselves.
At other times, it’s just the personalities involved.
Their symbiotic relationship drives both sides forward.
A similar scene, as in the minds of some who want to be strong.
To them it means don’t ever seem as if you get along with your opposition.
Despise those telling you what to do.
Oppose the rules.
Even when it’s for your own protection.
Dislike the writing and enforcement of regulations.
And to get by, don’t feel shy to reconcile contradictions.
Smooth out frictions.
Don’t object to what you loathe, if it serves your purpose.
Those are the kinds of twists that now exist in Americans’ minds.
To what they are so inclined.
So when Republicans are told of something the Democrats did.
They will not be in agreement or be supportive.
Even if it means going to the opposite side of their current spot.
No shame or disgrace as they move the dot.
There may not even be a substantial change.
It could be just a change of label or name.
What a waste.
When we use our mind just to stain, taint and destroy people’s space.
Which we wouldn’t have done otherwise.
If we weren’t holding on to thoughts that we should despise.
That we should reduce another’s worth to expand our own.
That they are out to harm US so we must act first.
Also we’ve been convinced to dislike ourselves.
So we are in search to be someone else.
That going forward, we were on the wrong track.
So we must head back.
Many gave consent by adopting another’s mind-set.
Their own mind – debased, even erased.
Allowing others to make US feel disgraced.
Just getting US to think we don’t amount to a lot.
Enough to put our defenses up.
So easy to stage for battling.
Just by infiltrating the brain.
It’s a shame when we allow others to have our brain go to waste.
Twisting and turning into explaining.
Like it’s been for January 6th.
Interpretations determined by politics.
When there is blame to go around.
Enough shows in the background.
But there are attempts to wipe it all out.
That day, many Republicans were scared and were trying to hide.
McCarty even called, asking Trump to turn the tide so they won’t be fried.
But then the GOP said it was Antifa and the BLM that stormed the Capitol in disguise.
At the same time they described those who entered as patriots.
So then those patriots were let in and the incident wasn’t violent.
To their minions, that all make sense.
All of that they go to defend.
And it’s those on the Left that are flawed.
The Right are never, and cannot be wrong.
Believing that, turns into their chosen fact.
Else they will be exposed to what they lack.
And that recognition will lead to their destruction and disintegration.
So for their survival and preservation, they live with deception.
Always searching for someone to blame.
While not willing to check themselves for mistakes.
This has been a constant strategy.
Used by the one with the narcissistic personality.
Now adopted by his followers.
Different peas, same pod.
They may or may not realize – they now lie to survive.
They deceive, to divert from what they see, what may be
loss and grief to them.
They hate, to escape the realities of what they think will be
to their detriment.
But despite what they’ve been given and what they get.
It no longer seems enough.
So they’ve morphed the American Dream to justify their schemes.
They lose sight of human and humane needs.
That’s when sin does a make-over to your business.
When the aims are mostly for your ease.
Reliance are on tricks with no use of treats.
For seize and fees, not to assist or relieve.
Securing a place for you and yours.
Then closing and locking doors.
To deny others the same opportunity that somehow you should earn.
But others don’t deserve.
That’s when your turns have gone for worse.
Religion and Faith become props.
Do what you must for your goal –
Push, shove, hit high, hit low or drop.
No matter the effect to your soul.
Mindless and thoughtless, use every excuse.
You can even explain the erection of a noose.
On a normal day when tourists came by for tours that the lawmakers never gave.
And Capitol police didn’t risk their lives to keep those lawmakers safe.
But somehow got injured, maimed, even killed.
Of which many Americans have been convinced.
Setting their minds to over-drive.
To reach the place where they feel fine.
Republicans said, you can’t cross the President.
If you did, you’re a bad American.
Even if it was to point out a wrong that was done.
The back-lash was strong.
Now Biden’s agenda has been to vaccinate and keep America safe.
Falling short of his goal brought GOP’s applause and praise.
In normal times that would spell crazed.
To these times, that’s the type of say that dominates.
But there is real life consequence.
Leading Americans to illness and death.
Murder in plain sight, how can that ever be right?
Millions of Americans are accomplices.
The Grim Reaper couldn’t do better than this.
How do people justify that?
You’re in the right as long as you’re opposing Democrats.
Republicans, less able to vote against their Party’s grain.
They appear more prone to stay in the Party’s lane.
It may be because their trust is limited to what they know and see in themselves.
They are unable to relate to anyone else.
What they would or wouldn’t do –
They expect to be the same for others too.
Even in the face of evidence and despite experiences
that show the opposition are not cheaters.
That those leaders’ plays have been within the norms and rules.
It’s difficult for the GOP to fathom as true.
So they go with what they know.
At least that will be more predictable.
And then they fool themselves.
To do as they feel compelled which they equal to being on the right track.
Believing that those they stand with will have their backs.
Since they all tend to be transactional.
But they are also mesmerized by the power and brass.
Even admire the crass.
Finding similarities of them in him.
So they keep hoping, wishing and hooked in.
Not wanting to think that they are out-done and out-played.
They stay with doing the same.
Over time their belief becomes unshakeable.
Else their world will become undone.
Their bond then becomes unbreakable.
So that with some ease they can move on.
Like a victim defending the abuser.
Rationalizing and justifying the abuser’s every wrong.
Making any and every excuse about why to stay and go along.
Finding sweet in the bad taste.
Believing they convert the lemons to lemonade.
Sometimes admitting to certain truths about the ones we embrace.
Could reveal our own shortcomings we’re not ready to face.
So it’s easier to continue playing the game.
And use lies as a defense to keep ourselves sane.
But reminder after reminder have been given to US.
Sometimes coming in gusts.
Giving US opportunities to get out of the entrapment we put ourselves in.
Only, we haven’t been listening.
