As the Taliban strides

Biden was right – He had to make the tough decision.
And he can’t get caught up with public opinion.
The appropriateness of removing troops from Afghanistan is one question.
But there is also that of how and when.
Soldiers who provided security were set to leave before civilians were led to safety.
How was the disaster which came to be, not anticipated or foreseen?
Unless there was the underestimation of the enemy.
And/or an over-estimation of the abilities of the U.S. built Afghanistan army.
That may be an explanation for that questionable strategy.
But interestingly, a 20-year war, started by a Republican President seemingly under some pretense.
And Trump deciding on and negotiating the troop withdrawal.
With which Biden had no quarrel.
As Trump planned to do, Biden followed through.
Now Lindsey Graham is calling for Biden’s impeachment.
Fox News personalities are having a field-day with their criticisms.
Using all that they can to whip Biden down.
What happened to – not standing by the President is un-American?
Under Trump the decision was great.
But with Biden, only mistakes made.
And already setting up to bash the extension of any kind of help to those who sided with American troops.
No humanitarian branch from that group.
Criticisms and inquiries are fine.
But the cut-throat, irrational, baseless “questioning” are by design.
Not working with.
No interest in partnering.
Going against, as if at war – Biden’s loss for their score.

As of April 2021, the U.S. spent 2 trillion plus in Afghanistan.
Now the U.S. retreats, the Country is overtaken by the Taliban.
With many lives lost as attempts were made to give their people freedom.
The ultimate reason – the Right to vote, have a say, and give way to democracy.
While now in this Country, the same are being taken away from many.
The same Party that pushed for the war.
Now in opposition to the democracy cause.
So if they had to be equaled with a side.
It would be as the Taliban strides.
Taliban – a religious, political movement.
Extreme in their beliefs.
Not hesitant to use violence and engage military.
Willing to kill and die.
Expectation for all to comply.
Abide by their interpretation of Islamic law.
One kind, one religion, one course.
Sounds familiar? Go figure.
A description of where we stand today.
As America’s Whites, Christians, Conservatives, Republicans try to get their way.

Taliban with guns over-run police stations, ousting the legitimate lead.
Pure power and belief that other than theirs are undesirables and of misdeeds.
No voting or choice.
Not willing to hear the people’s voice.
Dismayed by progress made for human, civil and women’s rights.
Such fights are not to their likes.
Their great again comes from how it was.
When men ruled, women and minorities had no cause.
The roles were set for who will get and who must stay silent.
Power was streamlined.
Similar, and so in-line with where MAGA stands.
And many have been willing to give them the upper-hand.
Interchangeable, the Taliban and the MAGA fan.

Taliban, known for their brutal treatment of Afghan citizens.
Restricting music, social and artistic activities.
Discriminating against religious and ethnic minorities.
Punishing by public whippings and executions.
Engaging in cultural genocide as a solution.
Bits and pieces seen in America’s Republican Party.
On their way to making their way, reality.

The Taliban is somewhat forthcoming to show who they are and what they’re about.
In some ways, where you stand with them, there is no doubt.
And they don’t pretend to be what they are not.
But the Republican farce continues and strengthens too.
It’s been appalling to historians and libertarians that Republicans pick and choose ideology, values and rules as they please.
The rhyme and reason flow in and out as would a breeze.
The most clear is that the end-game is for their gain.
Profiting for political scores and wins.
As Republicans sporadically appear.
Seemingly to support or oppose only for their care.
Same kind of thinking as the voters who put them there.
Sowing division, with entities working against each other.
No negotiations nor discussions, just over-run and take over.
Law enforcement on different sides of the tracks.
Some of blue as attackers, while others are being attacked.
A vigilante army of sorts against the legitimate lead.
Just as described with the Taliban’s misdeeds.
Americans cite their faith as their reasons to not mask or vaccinate.
While others state, it’s their faith that leads them to feel that doing the least harm is the right thing to do.
Not the side of the extremist, who use religion as a weapon, would choose.
So if these vigilante and extreme American types had to be equaled with a side.
It would be as the Taliban strides.
And while many in Afghanistan are trying to escape the Taliban.
Many Americans remain indifferent, stay silent or side with their counterpart.
As if wanting to choose the path from which the Afghan people are desperate to depart.

If we are honest, there is no difference in the direction the Taliban wants for Afghanistan.
And Republicans’ path for Americans.
The strong man hold is desired.
The authoritarians are ones to be admired.
Law and order to put some in their place.
Political violence does not bring disgrace.
Diversity is not an aim.
Uniformity and same.
Doing it all in the name of God.
Is another aspect we have come across.
So as we see the Taliban set up to rule.
Keep in mind, that’s the Republican, Conservative, Alt-Right, Right-Wing pathway too.
