Governor DeSantis was irate when school board officials didn’t obey his rule against mask mandates.
He criticized their lawlessness.
But when a judge ruled against him.
He didn’t hesitate to do a 180 spin.
Ignoring the judge’s rule.
Threatening to sue and defund schools.
To assist, the Federal government steps in.
So the ones who stand with just don’t get crushed.
Taxpayers’ money being used both ways.
To add and take away.
What a waste!
Under Republican rule the leaders have intel that they refuse to use.
Instead they feed from and into right wing news.
Whether the right admits it or not.
Conspiracy theories and disinformation are parceled with the Republican plots.
So as we pay to get what could protect.
They dismiss and turn against.
What a waste!
One Party trying to deliver to people in need.
Being shot at by the other so they can’t proceed.
Americans complain that government doesn’t work for them.
When they themselves vote in the ones who hinder improvement.
They too object and reject.
They haven’t figured that out yet.
Americans working against themselves, and two-faced.
What a waste!
If the choice had been truth and protecting America’s youth.
There wouldn’t be so many Covid-19 waves of dread.
So many thousands dead.
There seems to be no bottom or effective wake-up calls.
As the right keep enough people enthralled.
Republicans laid the foundation for over throw years ago.
With the cruelty and resilience of the strong-man.
The patience and insanity of the Taliban.
They’ve been able to reap power and invest what they get for more power keeps.
That’s why their rise has been so quick and steep.
The gains that are here are from investments of yester-years.
Swift and fast moving.
The left has been unprepared and some are still cruising.
Failing to see the urgency.
Living in their own alternate reality.
Continually stabbed in the back by the GOP.
There must be times when turning the other cheek.
Is not the expected or desired behavior from the sheep.
Staying with values such as empathy and humility.
Does not require tolerance of cruelty and stupidity.
Our faith also demands bravery.
To protect the vulnerable and poor.
Those who we say are behind what we stand for.
Yet it seems the rich and privileged often get the interest and unlimited support.
While those lower down are despised, degraded and ignored.
Even in the name of bipartisan and peace.
Will the favoritism for the rich and right ever seize?
What sense does it make for Democrats to allow cruelty, hate and continued distaste to stay?
Afraid that the way they pave to help, may be used by the GOP for more gets.
In normal times, it won’t be the preferred way to go.
But the GOP already show that they are set to do whatever they want to.
What is allowed, if they are not stopped now, will enshroud US for a long time to come.
Burying the likes of democracy, voting rights and freedom.
Democrats have to choose.
Honor the filibuster, a man-made rule.
And let fear of what isn’t yet here, dictate.
Or make a decision to ensure for the People’s gain.
If they squander, even if it is the slimmest chance away.
That will be a waste!
Why do Democrats still expect fairness to the Republicans’ game?
Manchin is depending on “reasonable” and “friendship” at this stage.
While McConnell is already stating there will be no Republican vote.
Securing Voting Rights is not for them to promote.
Even though their buddies in the Supreme Court say the rules should be made by Congress.
Knowing well that the GOP has no interest to support that progress.
So again they place US in this never ending loop.
No lessons learned, as Democrats are continually duped.
As the GOP continue rigging for their benefits.
They will forget what it’s like to earn honest wins.
But by not ensuring civil, voting and other Rights for all.
Their own Rights are not secure.
As we allow for a one-Party dominance and rise, we endanger and put uncertainty to our living and lives.
Widening the gate to ease themselves through.
Gives allowance for any and all others too.
Including those who are rogue and with the most extreme views.
People say it’s about the divide.
Disagreements between the right and left sides.
But that’s a limited and erroneous view.
One side has refused to lose.
Aim to mislead and confuse.
And that gives them a more solid stance to take away the very same that their people demand – Freedom.
What they think they are solidifying, they are actually breaking down.
As the Democrats fight for democracy to stay.
People support the Republicans who want to take it away.
What a waste!
No the left shouldn’t go rogue.
But they need to grow a spine, show a back-bone.
Republicans have been relentless in their pursuits.
Democrats struggle in their attempts to refute.
Acting with humility doesn’t mean you ought to be naïve.
Standing with integrity shouldn’t call for weak.
At times we have to make decisions that are not securely attached to our values or mission.
And doing to get a good outcome doesn’t demand that we stick to how things were done.
We have to do the least of worst.
Either way we sway, it may feel like a curse.
But we should go with truth and without mal-intent.
Do what brings best and pray about the rest.
Doing less and squandering faith.
Now that would be another waste!
The insurrection played out live.
But over time people are believing it was staged.
A set up.
But wait – was it for or against Trump?
Either way it’s a hell of an incline even for the most crooked and warped of minds.
Domestic terrorism at the top of America’s danger list.
While the right dismiss.
The government setting a battle plan.
At the same time the other side of government stands ready to attack as they sabotage and derail.
America is in for a fall and fail.
As America trips, her adversaries jump and skip.
Americans are allowing mines to be placed in the paths of the “enemy”.
The locations to which they are not always privy.
They seem to forget, it’s the same paths they have to use.
So they are not being careful about what they choose.
The weapons and tactics that they sanction today.
Will likely be in place when it’s their turn to travel that way.
Failure to use their heart, soul and brain.
And as they keep looking to trip others they lessen their pace.
Sometimes even binding their legs as they go through life’s race.
What a waste!
