At the National and Global stage Republicans have failed to acknowledge science surrounding global warming and climate change.
But even in Republican-run States, adjustments are being made.
Thoughts of not offering 30-year mortgages if you live on Miami Beach.
With the expectation that by then water will be flooding the streets.
Investors and builders have been seeking higher ground.
Aiming for locations inland, that would more likely be around.
Sometimes with no care about who they displace while they gentrify.
As long as there is success to their aim to invest and modernize.
Another blow to lower incomes and salaries.
Catering to the growth of the upper echelon of society.
Selling off America’s land to private corporations.
With limited rules and regulations.
As they add to environmental harm and pollution.
It’s not just a knee to America’s neck.
It’s cheating her of the oxygen that should be there for her to get.
Seems like that oxygen deprivation is clouding people’s judgement.
Many Americans seem to be at ease to have big business and private entities take the lead.
Reduce the government role.
So those for who profits are the main goal, placed to manage the services of people in need.
That seems contradictory.
When reducing cost is an incentive.
And giving services and pay-outs will likely be deemed as too expensive.
They won’t be WWJD moments.
Big pharma not wanting to be constricted or regulated.
One developing and distributing Oxycotin.
Withholding how addictive it is.
Staying silent not reeling themselves in.
Taking advantage of people despite their pain and suffering.
Even after witnessing deaths.
Corporate America that Americans choose as best.
Failing their own drug test.
Allowing dark money to rule politicians.
Not knowing the intent and who is behind big money contributions.
Some labeled as non-profit, therefore tax-exempt.
Getting exponential returns for their money spent.
Like the Bradley Foundation pumping millions into the Big Lie and props for voter fraud.
The fake audit in Arizona funded by the former CEO of Overstock.
Conservative groups, even with religious veins, behind disinformation campaigns.
As Virtues, Values, Rights and democracy in America wains.
So as Americans are being led from behind the scenes by these organizations and companies.
The government is held as the boogeyman from which we should all flee.
Even companies which are familiar to every day and of household names,
don’t hesitate to go for control and dictate.
Therefore, as we use and consume, we fund.
Not just to support some lavish lifestyles but to political runs.
And as politicians’ unchangeable dos come.
We rally and pay again to get them undone.
Instead of agreeing to cut off the shady, big and special interest source.
We continue to try and maneuver this impossible, complicated, self-made course.
Lawmakers are elected to Washington to work as public servants.
Represent their constituents.
So why aren’t there more strides on the Republican side for representation to reflect the diversity of the Nation?
There are some wanting to “serve” who are showing distaste for the poor and certain sections of society.
Dismissing and denying tragedies endured in our communities.
Undermining faith in the systems, belief in the establishments, showing no respect to the Constitution.
Bad mouthing America’s institutions.
Putting in charge those who want to dismantle.
Instead of making more efficient, they introduce more tangles.
Such choice of leadership is not just reflective.
It shows agreement to their directives.
Many of life’s problems, personal and national tend to be complex.
Yet we are attracted to explanations and solutions that are brief and in short sets.
This has allowed big tech, social and other media to streamline our minds.
Multiplying our likes and linking US mostly to our kind.
It’s debatable which came first – their influence or our trends.
But it’s all to the same ends.
Either way there is a feedback loop.
Which is leading US to stupid and dangerous.
That’s the kind of doing that should strike concern and fear.
But many, even if slightly aware, don’t seem to care.
It may be against changes they are not willing to make.
Or it’s not a burden they want to uptake.
Too much to lose, give up or sacrifice.
So they give legitimacy to crazy conspiracies and lies.
And real life dangers they refute, refuse to see and believe.
Making US vulnerable as our enemies interweave.
To the right, words used as weapons are to be protected under free speech.
Any attempt to limit, even to protect the public is defined as overreach.
Big techs are not willing to let up as well.
Which even if they do, will become another ones sell.
So what is shown to bring danger to US.
Is what many use for information and comfort.
Giving more incentive for these companies to hook our young.
Having a continuous source to stream from.
Those who are upset and protest about new immigrants coming in.
May not hesitate to use them for their benefit.
Like hiring people not authorized to work.
And avoiding taxes by cooking the books.
So as employers they can pay less than the minimum wage.
Setting to stage and creating situations they argue against and about.
Like depriving a citizen an opportunity to obtain a decent job.
As we contradict and pretzel ourselves to irrational trends and evil ends.
Dysfunctional is not just a path we’ve chosen to move down.
It’s now a characteristic of the type of people we’ve become.
And as with Trump and his minions, to remain dissonance-free, we must contradict truth and reality.
As we are not being honest with ourselves.
We are easily accepting dishonesty from others as well.
We are validating these new Republican types.
Endorsing their black or white stripes.
Spurious, not genuine.
Inadvertently revealing truths within.
And it’s not the front that we had the world see previously.
It’s what apparently has been buried deep.
That Trump permitted US to let rise with ease.
A testament to who we are or think we should be.
So for some in the world, all of this is not a look of contradictory or dysfunctional.
What they see is that Trump burst the seams to a big reveal of our true identity and colors.
And by how many Americans respond they have made claims to confirm that these colors are ours.
