Contradictory – To a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy

There is a high tolerance for waste when the GOP spends.
No end to complaints when Democrats try to reduce the wealth gap.
It becomes a one-handed clap.
In the U.S., economic growth has been concentrated to the already privileged.
As the GOP gives the same pitch and sells itself as the Party for the working class.
How can that smell-test pass?
They have yet to willingly and easily support a bill that would give the have-less substantial benefits.
That’s when they have full recall regarding debt and deficits.
Under Trump, the biggest gifts were to the rich.
Some who also profited through the pandemic.
But now with attempts to help the lower tier.
Big government and government spending are buzz words used to generate fear.
And tax-cuts get the votes no matter the time or situation.
It’s the perfect lure and is the forever go-to solution.

Corporations often adjust to flows and trends.
They make sure that they profit in the end.
Why shouldn’t there be such a care for workers and employees?
They too need to be able to survive in society.
Americans criminalize and demonize poor.
There is the expectation that poor will be knocking on more American doors.
The cost of living has increased.
But not the wages and salaries.
That has been the case for the lower and middle class.
Why is there such resistance now for improvements to their acts?
This has been the path of the Democrats.
Often being stopped in their tracks.
Americans keep to the same mistake.
Giving the wealthy and big businesses the breaks.
Placing US in the hands of those who willingly feed the wolves.
While others in the Country put their nose to the grindstone to get by.
Or fight to keep their nest egg safe and dry.
That is where Americans are often being led and the Republican heads are pleased.
Because they will have the control, resources and means.
So they can avoid the financial collapse and fight disease.
While the rest of the Country struggles.
They would observe from their bubble.
Yet many are still of the belief and have more faith in the GOP to handle the finances of the Country.
When historically, we have plunged under their rule.
And the Democrats then get voted in for the rescue.

When Americans are asked – should the government provide more – The answer is often “yes”.
But when it comes to payment, that’s when they retreat and regress.
The problem is we want it all but don’t want to pay.
So we hinder progress and ways that would get our needs met.
And we often want for ourselves, but stop when we think it’s for the benefit to someone else.
We vote against policies, bills and the politics that would make many less dependent on handouts.
But that deprivation to US means we too will have to live without.

Many of US know, when we go for fixes by patching holes, inevitably the holes and others grow.
With that kind of mend, it’s more likely to drain our pockets in the end.
But often that’s what Republicans quicker represent.
And with them the fix is to switch to private.
Giving rise to the bias that government run is always worse and private is best.
But when private gets, does anyone ever check for efficiency and productivity?
Are they held to the same standards and have the same restrictions placed on government entities?
Or are they given more freedom to do as they please?
And is there ever a check to know if it’s to the tax-payers worth?
After all it’s from the tax-payers’ purse that the payments flow.
Do they over-see and demand accountability?
Anyone who has worked in big business and tech are likely aware that they are not necessarily more efficient or spend less.
What is known for sure is that their heads are assured more.
And if the company should fall there are safety nets for some, not all.
Time and time again, they show who the save goes to.
Etched in stone like a company rule.

Millionaires and Billionaires reside here.
Taking from Americans without care.
When you put corrupt at the top and allow leaders the power to flip, flop or stop.
You must know that they will streamline for their growth.
We’ve fed that beast and when it’s time to seize, the attempts are invalid.
So while the beast enjoys luxury.
More Americans slip into poverty.

There have been continuous failures to concede when there is need for change.
No allowance for concessions to be made.
Americans continue to waste free.
Refuse to obtain what they paid for in taxes already.
Our judgment and decision making are not consistent or reliable.
What’s undeniable is easily erased.
And what’s unacceptable is wholeheartedly embraced.
And this is becoming the norm.
Dysfunctional, the voice to their call.
They say that ignorance is bliss.
Common sense, rational and reasonable are surely missed.
But some of US still believe that knowledge, education, information and reality are important keys to healthy.
Yet many will continue to be led by fear.
And that will keep the perpetrators in gear.
As what people perceive has been successfully highlighted for them to see.
And the real dangers are downplayed or deemed to not be real.
So those dangers will grow.
Because of the likes of Facebook and those like Zuckerberg who know.
But whose loyalty are to personal profits and company over society, community and Country.
And as long as Americans keep their ties to conspiracies and lies.
Permit for holds from those who give them these rides.
Although it should not be such an easy convince.
They will see it as a fit to making US the greatest.

Although part and parcel of the establishment and making them even more corrupt.
The GOP successfully separates itself from the negativity of government.
And as they work to erect these Whac-A-Mole.
Despite the problems that flow, solutions remain on hold.
As long as government is seen as a bad word and government spending a curse – then it will surely be to its worst.
The GOP wants government to limit what they can do for people although the opposite would show government at its best.
And as they keep denying problems that need to be addressed.
The self-fulfilling prophecy will make its way eventually.
Not because it was really so.
But it’s to the path we willed ourselves to go.
