The traps we’re setting for ourselves

Often we trap ourselves into webs which we or others create.
We become all judgmental using information dipped in discrimination, intimidation and hate.
We then give ourselves the sell that we are good and all is well.
But we don’t live in isolation.
And the brain doesn’t determine our situation.
We can’t live by – I perceive and think, therefore it is.
That’s what many are trying to do.
And others are being led to.

As part of the human race.
We can’t avoid occupying the same space.
What we say and do have rippling effects through and through.
When darkness comes, it will be difficult to pick, choose or hide from.
We are the makers and breakers holding the tools.
With the ability to direct the crew.
But many keep agreeing to cuts.
Not to free or loosen ourselves from knots, but to kill.
We continue to do break-downs not build.
Despite the right’s flaws and dangers embedded in their blueprint.
Many put their stamp on it still.

And it’s not just to the state of our politics that is worrisome.
It’s that they are tainting all aspects of our lives with political.
Political arguments and decisions have dwindled down to culture wars.
That’s been the “because” for some to keep voting Republican.
The GOP’s intentions don’t appear to sound sufficient alarms or distress.
People don’t seem to recognize or care.
So many in US stay focused on monetary gain and loss.
Setting their course to get them and their “kind” a status climb.
To the point that that education, knowledge, history and criticism are perceived as “enemies”.
As threats to their existence and being.
When in reality, it’s the fact that they’ve allowed our lives to be politicized.
Kept doors open to partisan, radical and culture wars.
No matter how we slice it, these can’t be based in clean or pure motives.
No matter how it’s thrown, pollution knows no boundaries.
And wouldn’t know to stay clear from the people who placed them there.
People often fail to think beyond an individual stink.
But for each that pollutes, there are hundreds, thousands and millions that do too.

The GOP and the right have not only been spreading a virus that kills.
They have been dismantling what brings civility.
Americans have been allowing norms and rules in their institutions to fade.
Checks, balances and accountability are being challenged and dismissed everyday on a national stage.
Americans should be prepared – it will not stay to the level of those who lead.
It will spread to the behavior of the man on the street.
Bold, emboldened, brass and crude.
Expect to see more of these among you.
Violent, entitled, unapologetic – reinforced in our politics.
Also likely to spread.
Right-wing and Republican bred.
Americans have given the go ahead.

America’s democracy, systems and morals can only fall to the depths and ways that Americans allow.
When the falls come, ignorance won’t be our saving grace.
We will have to face, that as we made perceived best choices for ourselves, we brought harm and mayhem to someone else.
But when you breathe the same air.
There will be an eventual reach to your area and sphere.
The poisons you allow to deprive and destroy.
One day, at some time, will be at the steps to your door.
Consequences are like air – difficult to contain, but easy to spread any and everywhere.
