Biden was wrong

Biden was wrong.
He believed his right-wing friends in Washington.
He gave them the benefit of the doubt.
But they chew him up and spit him out.
How it was – no longer how it is.
To them nothing is sacred.
Years of friendship down the drain.
To depend on them will be in vain.
And continuing to wait will just be a nostalgic hold.
They won’t be any help to Biden’s Build-Back-Better goals.

Biden was wrong.
He underestimated the hatred of the right and the opposition.
He tasked himself with uniting the Country.
What many Americans apparently don’t care to see.
Likely as a common mistake.
Their anger and blame often displaced.
Going to the jugular of those who mean well.
Fall for the big-wigs who give a good sell.
Whether subconscious or deliberate.
They refuse to cooperate.

Biden was wrong.
He banked on the opposition to help him get things done.
But their bipartisan days have long been gone.
You’ve got to admire his spunk, care and faith.
Still trying to resuscitate.
But if he’s not careful, by trying to appease those who are rejecting his interventions, he will end up giving the masses a death sentence.
At times we can wish, will or try to guilt people to change.
But it’s not for us to do their re-arrange.
In the end it’s up to them.
It’s their life, their decision, their conscience.
Like Biden, at times we may have honorable goals.
But we must know when there are diminishing returns.
And it’s best to let go.
Let ourselves off the hook.
Letting go does not always mean abandoning.
That’s what enablers often think.
Know and accept when it’s no longer your responsibility.
When it’s to the action of others and their liability.
It will be wrong for Biden to continue this path, expecting different results.
That’s been a problem with US.
And that keeps US enabling.
But to help others we need not spread ourselves soooo thin.
And not feel bad to question if there will be a good outcome to our giving.

Biden will continue to be wrong if his end-game is bipartisan.
He’s not one to go beyond the power he was given.
Not to solely enhance for himself or his living.
He respects that there are limitations even as President.
And though his intentions are well meant.
He’s plagued with obstacles, many of which are deliberately placed.
So if he fails, Americans will be to blame.
And it’s to their feet that wrongs will drop.
If they allow any Republican (strongman) to move to the top.
