The Big Steal

The GOP has been walking the tight rope in their sordid bid to get votes.
For their loss in the 2020 election – The system was rigged.
But to their past and future wins – It isn’t.
That’s their attempt at encouragement for “their people” to turn out and vote for them.
Those who can’t see through that fog – their mind, heart and soul are already gone.
You have to be of pretense, if you can make good of that nonsense.

For some Americans, they not only aim at the elimination of handouts.
It’s to annihilate particular segments of the population.
The reduction of another’s voice, choice and worth guide their vote.
Their mission is to dissolve despite there being viable solutions to solve.
To dissipate, ignoring opportunities to cooperate.
For some the choice is to revert to methods known to not work.
Those already tried and proven to be true is what they turn their backs to.
That’s been the GOP’s lock and load.
Re-writing the codes.
Making mountains out of mole-hills.
And denying when true mountains exist.

Government providing healthcare is rejected.
Banning books in public schools and libraries is accepted.
Giving easy access to guns is right.
Reducing child poverty is a crime.
Thousands dying from a pandemic is acceptable.
Wearing a mask and getting vaccinated are detestable.
Lawmakers who incite violence and attempt a coup can stay.
Those who try to govern with policy can be portrayed as evil, labeled as traitors.
Deemed to be dangerous.
You can peacefully protest and be attacked by gun toting vigilante types or those wearing army stripes.
Those in the lead can make laws that suit their ideology and religious beliefs.
Not to protect and serve the people of the Country.
No longer do they need to show honesty or integrity.
It’s all about how they make you feel.
Truth and fact are not for believing.
Conspiracies and propaganda are more intriguing.
But this cannot be adopted by all.
Only those on the right can make their calls.

Conservatives, Evangelicals, Republicans and other Americans shriek battle cries for personal freedoms.
While they force people to bow only to their systems and solutions.
They attack what would sow seeds of empathy and ignore that there are collective needs.
Another scheme, propping the belief that those who are poor or don’t succeed are of bad seeds.
While blocking access to their basic needs.
Removal of access is a reduction of freedom and choice.
Yet many set to the course of judging, punishing, blaming and labeling.
This is not a recipe to be baked for those who claim that their taste is for peace and democracy.
Not to be bought or sold in a Country where people supposedly hold to Human Rights and Civil Liberties.
If we honor people’s Rights and people are given access to a decent living.
And they commit crimes against society and Country.
Then we can call them out for their doings.
But wait – many who live above the poverty line are choosing what undermines, deprives and neglects.
Those already with more, securing for themselves.
And for them there is no consequence.
Making their wrong-doings legitimate.
Agreeing to laws and “justice” that will further discriminate.
Reducing people’s ability and trying to break their will to participate.
All in the name of making America “great”.
Pithing State against Federal.
With social, cultural, economic and political – putting marks to attack.
Using words, phrases and naming.
Of which they keep changing their meanings.
None of this is above board.
All of these misconducts from the right are being ignored.

Trying to secure our American Dream while removing choices and chances from others is preposterous.
Especially for those in US who claim they are for democracy and free.
Are they truly convinced, they are doing the right thing?
Does their righteousness erase the guilt?
Do people hold to their “faith” so they can “feel” great no matter what they choose?
And perceive invincibility despite the ungodly acts they do?
If you take away choice and chance in this democracy, you’ve already watered down the American Dream.
It also means that your dream was not for freedom and liberties.
It was more for privilege and prestige.
But that’s a limited view that you’re holding your dreams to.
The true American Dream was for all Americans to have equal opportunity.
That’s why many fled their original Countries.
Yet, we’re cultivating a brand that believes in stealing to get the upper-hand.
And it’s not just with our politics.
It’s with cultural, social, scientific and economic.
What brought many disdain from where they came – we are now replicating.
Building corruption, criminality, deception and stagnation.
That which plagues many Third-World Nations.
The GOP has been repackaging these goods.
And many Americans are paying a high price to stand where others stood, but rejected.
Now we are all being infected and affected.
It’s a sobering reality that even those who fled from fascist regimes show no concern or empathy for those being oppressed, suppressed and left out.
It’s only for their freedom that they shout.

For a while some may be untouched and perceive victory.
But history states that as fascists regulate, they desire and seek assurity of loyalty.
They spread, wanting more.
Eventually moving door to door.
Who would have thought, that for some the American Dream included the rise of a fascist regime?
It’s not just the repression, oppression and suppression.
But also the changing of minds, opinions and suppositions.
They’ve stolen the American Dream.
By re-writing what the American Dream means.
And millions of American minds now subscribe to such beliefs.
