America is not a jungle

Americans put in the lead those who make claims to be friends of democracy while they treat the opposition as enemies.
Not limited to their colleagues but also to the people they have a duty to serve.
Talk about making all in US vulnerable.
It’s hard to believe that even the faithful would put their belief and trust in a man showing no scruples and who would speak as if in lust with his own daughter.
Accept offers to receive favors while diminishing the lives of others.
Give cover to do inhumane without restraints.
Some are choosing to make waves – only to see the splash.
Striking hard to make a mark – the kind to deface and trash.
To some, choices made are deliberate to divide, conquer and hate.
Others who can’t be bothered remain indifferent to which way the wind blows.
Not afraid to show disgust and contempt, while selecting others for exempt.
Criticize – But having no agenda and actually doing what is ill-advised.
That’s the new GOP cookie cut.
Anyone who tries to be otherwise will be denied a spot.
It’s a strange dance as lawmakers fit the mold their constituents demand under their command.
Circling, escalating to who knows what.
Except that what there is to come is likely going to be mighty far from where we had begun.
As they continue with their twists and turns – We the People become unrecognizable.

The GOP continues its bid to capture from both sides.
They go forward full force, then retreat.
Apologetic as can be.
Their brass nets the MAGA crowd.
And with an apology, they successfully erase some frowns.
Just insult your colleagues, then make claims that you’re sorry.
Attack, then take a few steps back.
Incite and set the Democrats up as targets.
Then when the MAGA crowd hits, distance yourself from all of it.
They spoke against the Insurrection with such emotion.
Then before we know it, that chapter was over.
To the point of trying to erase what happened that day.
Normalizing the violence displayed.
Censuring Party members who stood against their lies and terrorist ties.
They even went on to describe the actions on January 6th as “legitimate political discourse”.
Then some proceed at backing up that horse.

Republican leaders do the same moves when it comes to Trump.
At times he’s their base but when it doesn’t suit them, he’s not.
They make their case against, when they try to lure those who are not of his taste.
If their statements and acts were consistent, sensible and reasonable – It would all be acceptable.
But often it’s baseless, contradictory and conflicting.
Youngkin won the Virginia Governor’s race by distancing himself from Trump while still riding his coat-tail.
He didn’t go all out to attack and deface.
Making it more likely that he could woo independents and moderates.
Set his re-phrase to parents having control over their children’s education.
And putting headlights to concerns about inflation.
But in the end, he shows to be one of them.
On the campaign trail it’s more about the center.
In the office space it’s pushing the Conservative agenda.
Not of the reasonable but the radical and extreme.
The discriminatory.

As many voters still vote close to home and to what is seen around or would benefit their bubble.
Not being aware of or having a care for other people’s troubles.
It’s an easy catch.
Lure them in then close the hatch.
The problem is, people’s bubbles are shrinking.
As the GOP divides, they set up to packs, factions, cults and tribes.
We no longer function as people trying to make a decent living.
Some have been convinced – they must be predators, else they will become victims.
It’s from that mind-set that Republicans continue to draw their wins.
Until people stop believing we’re in a jungle and are in need of a king.
The GOP will not keep from shifting or doing whatever it takes to be capturing.
They so easily change their colors and stripes.
They don’t have to stick to a type.
But leaders who are that malleable are not dependable, trustworthy or reliable.
Neither are boorish and savage – These aren’t suitable as leaders in a civilized world.
So they are turning America into a jungle to fit their bestial mold.
Americans are easily being fooled.
Or many of them follow because they are chameleons or predators too.
The GOP and their minions seem comfortable as jungle dwellers.
Some with desires, not just to be leaders – They want to be king.
And for that they keep fighting.
Since America is not a jungle and is not in need of a king – Why are those on the right building pride and making shifts to that type of leadership?
