Our wells are at risk of running dry.
But as long as we get by and water flows from the spout, we don’t prepare for when there is a drought.
That’s a flaw today in America’s thinking.
Not preparing, not making long term plans.
Hell, we’re not even into fixing the real problems at hand.
We’re trying to find excuses to do nothing about the inequalities in our systems.
Instead of making attempts to fix them.
Wanting to justify the racism and hate.
Not deal with the issues that led US to our present state.
We squander our power, resources, expertise and wealth.
By fighting amongst and against ourselves.
Not a mind-set to build and grow.
But to tear down, demolish and throw.
We refuse to tighten our belt, be patient or wait.
We want instant gratification and demand fullness to our plate.
We are being groomed to think we have to fight to get.
And that others trying to get, to US, they’re the threat.
It’s not about exercising Rights, it’s to forcing will.
Those who stand in our way deserve to be taken down or killed.
What used to be deplorable and unthinkable.
Have now become acceptable, even desirable.
That which was scorned is now adored.
Differences are seen as flaws.
It’s not about improving by pushing the limits.
It’s about crossing and going way beyond it.
For selfish gains, while we sabotage others into standing still.
Extreme is normalcy.
Radical is practical.
No consideration for motives, means or reasons.
Justified as it’s the Faithful fighting against the Heathens.
To go against and acting inhumane are now commonplace.
Don’t say gay, but it’s okay to stray from tolerance and compassion.
Making inclusion and acceptance secular terms.
It’s acceptable to manipulate people and the meaning of words.
Deception is a tool for leaders to use.
B.S. will suffice as an excuse.
Criminality and corruption are in, accountability is out.
Winning and power are what their politics is about.
Strangers are held off as enemies.
Not people we can get a chance to know or meet.
Politicians are allowed to pick what to “fix” in those they see as different.
While they stay indifferent to issues and influences that generate inequality of our systems.
That which affects our lives and make it difficult to thrive.
Suppressing some, obstacles placed before they were even born.
Which still today can pull sections of society down.
Couple that with society’s message that they don’t belong.
Today, even with no evidence, they can still stick the blame.
And when there is, they can use denial to escape.
Real time and live are staged.
Assessed, vetted and investigated results are fake.
They can say that they stand with God.
And no matter what, their being remains devoted to a specific cause.
Their allegiance is to certain people, Party and policies.
They accept “alternative facts” as the foundation of their reality.
They enhance and advance to other people’s hardship.
Turn honor and respect into 100% loyalty and worship.
There is barely fuss or fret when the top tiers get.
But anger and disgust are shown when there are attempts to provide the less fortunate with stepping stones (for growth).
Many claim they want integrity and transparency from those who run for and occupy political seats.
Yet they have been supporters of representatives who use unjust, unfair and unscrupulous strategies.
Maybe at first, they did not know.
But even as it’s being shown, voters don’t vote out or hold to account.
Instead, they’ve reinforced and have allowed what they claim they don’t want.
Making decisions to endorse leaders who are and do extreme.
Still holding themselves and the GOP to highest esteem.
Imagine we’re a Country depending on a Two Party system.
But now, one Party isn’t right.
Yet they bring delight and excitement.
Only having one functioning Party left.
Yet many still claim that the two are equivalent.
Despite the fact that many members of the GOP have been caught several times with their pants down.
Voters carry on as if all is well and normal.
So what they say that they want and have been voting to get are not a matching set.
But there is no acknowledgment.
Those who can’t be honest with themselves.
Likely aren’t pursuing integrity from others as well.
So as long as façade and fake continue to be displaced.
Truth and true outcomes will be at bay.
What is voted for is what we’ll get.
No matter the words and ideas that descend from our mouth and head.
