No loving them back

“Very fine people on both sides”.
If the reference Trump made was to left versus right or Black and White, it would be acceptable.
But the comparison was made between White Nationalists and those who peacefully protested against social injustice.
There are Republicans who attach themselves to those who state “Time for Jews to face the great replacement”.
Are enough American Jews upset?
Will they continue to support the Ex-President and Party that harbors those who hate them so?
It’s not just that Trump and members of the GOP fail to denounce the Neo-Nazis.
The Nationalists have been inspired, encouraged and emboldened.
No longer a clandestine operation, they can be out in the open.
They themselves indicate they now have a place to hang their anti-Semitic hats.
They have Republican leaders, the GOP and right-wing to thank for that.
The silence of the GOP has been the pole to which the anti-Semitic symbols and flag hold.
As well as the many American votes that allow their status to rise.
Showing more concern for other gains and prize.
Americans ignore or minimize.
As they create Hitler-type heads.
Only loyal to themselves.
Desiring power to no end.

Attacks against voting Rights have mostly been to communities where less Whites reside.
Especially if they don’t show Republican pride.
Yet Black Republicans are mobilizing to get votes from their “own” for their Party in the mid-terms.
Will POC continue to have this Party and its members represent?
Even though they are reversing strides made by the Civil Rights Movement.
Redistricting to minimize the power of their votes.
No acknowledgement or movement for change, even when blatant discrimination shows.

Only an active, living, breathing Republican can attend the wedding of his gay son.
A few days after voting against gay marriage.
A miscarriage of fairness and justice.
Normalized, as they say they can’t abort.
So even the most heinous and atrocious must live its natural course.
No matter the hurt and suffering that comes.
It’s the Republican picks for the Supreme Court that are the most conservative and strict.
Denying Rights, and with no apologies, they gear to extreme.
How many who they marginalize will continue to power this team?

Trump knew, that the “tourists” visiting Capitol Hill were armed.
Able to do a great deal of harm.
Sitting by as Capitol police were being brutalized.
Trump and the GOP, as aiders and abettors to crimes.
Do “We the People” realize who is given time?
Or keep track to whom there are consequences?
It often reflects the systemic lack of fairness and equality.
Tipping the scale giving unchecked power to those writing policies.
Would-be oligarchies.
Foolishly, even law enforcement is propelling some to be above the law.
Supporting wayward Republicans whose decisions make their jobs more difficult and dangerous.
Endorsing violence, encouraging terrorist acts, permitting easy access to high capacity weaponry.
To those who would turn against them so quickly and easily.
After which, so many Republicans lawmakers didn’t stand with those who put their bodies between them and the insurrectionists.
But alas, even police unions and supporting law enforcement entities abandoned their own.
So revered, yet in one shot, dethroned.

Capitalism, less regulations and government intervention.
Unless, the opposite suits them.
Republicans with heavy hands, trying to steer some business ships.
Holding to their base’s pitch.
Not fixing what hurts consumers.
Just as today, President Biden and his Administration are being blamed for the current economic fails.
When he has not been allowed to implement what he believes will help correct.
And the Republican runs of Capitalism, small government, privatization, less regulation and trickle down remain strong.
Which has shown to not be a good match given the technological advancements and globalization.
A Party holding to nostalgia and stagnation.
Showing fear to progress and voting against progression.

Republicans celebrating, fist pumping.
After turning down a bill that will give to sick veterans.
Who were exposed to burn pits.
Abandoned, after serving the Nation and completing duties to which they were stationed.
Yet many still do Trump’s and the GOP’s bid.
Ready to destroy and kill, even die.
Throw away their lives.
Through, but not limited to, the Proud Boys.
Another perk enjoyed by right-wing.
As or with White Nationalists.
Ex-veterans – destroying the Country they once swore to protect.
Standing with those who reject their needs.
To them they show fealty.

Republicans are the ones turning down.
No to what will contain and help eradicate Covid-19.
No to social distancing, temporary shut-downs, masks and vaccines.
No to research to learn what Covid does to the brain.
Not worth budgeting.
No to saving lives with sensible gun laws.
No to peaceful protests if it’s for a “left-wing cause”.
No to accountability to rogue public servants – including Republican Presidents and the police.
No to health care and other financial burden relief.
No to prevent the wrath of climate change.
No to loss on the political stage.
Government should be there to save and serve.
On the Republican side, the tables have turned.
No more show of heart and soul.
Those are ditched as they try to hold to more powerful.
Even Mike Pence can’t rally with truth.
Denounce the January 6th insurrection and the man who would have his head placed in a noose.
As a man and a politician, his sense of obligation is skewed.
Apparently it’s that way for his role as Christian too.
His behavior reflective of what many Americans now do.
And as if that’s not enough.
Christian Nationalists are hanging tough.

Fraternizing with the wolves.
The shepherds poison and lure.
In life we serve varying roles.
Sometimes as sheep, other times as sheep who lead.
Giving in to the wolves, they endanger their own.
Sad part is, many know.
And they too can be placed on the spit that they help build.
It’s fine to forgive.
But many have gone beyond, to worshiping.
The same groups that Trump and the GOP target and attack, have their backs and help cover their corrupt and cruel tracks.
Though Trump nor the GOP will ever love them back.
