It’s (not) the economy stupid

President Biden and Democrats keep getting hit.
Even support from the left quickly shifts.
With haste, many punish their missteps.
Ready to case them in, throw away the key and forget.
Though they, in the least, delayed the destruction of democracy.
A threat that’s still real.
Because President Biden and the Democrats are not to their pace, many, even on the left, retaliate.
Giving talking points to right-wing and red meat to the GOP’s base.
A slap in democracy’s face.
Republicans say they hate “socialists”.
But often, they enjoy and embrace what the “socialists” give.
Accessibility to insurance and services through the ACA.
Adult Daycare – they won’t be pleased to have that taken away.
Transportation to medical appointments.
The many vans across the neighborhood – also to the provision of employment.
The stimulus checks because of Covid-19.
In general they shun, but not when they are the ones receiving green.
The benefits from Medicaid and Medicare.
Social security cuts – Don’t you dare!
Democrats sacrifice their political lives.
Their career as public servants take a nose dive when they vote in favor of middle and low income.
Easily destroyed and crushed.
Without shame, Republicans as Capitalists – reject, object and fret.
Nowadays, the GOP has become and accept corrupt to keep their positions.
No show of contrition.
In fact, despite voting against bills the Democrats pass, the GOP takes credit and do victory laps.

Republicans have been using their power and positions to pad big corporations and give the top two percent tax breaks.
Regulations, fees, fines and expenses waived.
While ordinary citizens salivate to promises of tax cuts.
For what? – Never substantial, nothing much.
Then elections come and many still vote Republican.
Repeating the cycle.
But what in truth have Republicans done?
For the short-term and to the long run?
They revert to same, no matter the situation.
And now, they no longer rule or lead.
Just show loyalty to a man and the extreme, irrational, radical base of the Party.
Why are politicians engaging in cultural divides?
Trying to make it more difficult for certain people to thrive?
Deliberate production of problems, chaos and turmoil.
Distraction after distraction.
When last did Republicans lead the passing of a bill for the benefit of the majority in the Nation?
For years, blocking the opposition has been their aspiration.
Satisfying their gripes and aiming for the left and Democrats to lose.
Refuse and reuse.
That’s a mistake many, including the media make.
They tie losses and wins to the candidates and their Party.
When the recipients are the People and the Country.
With bills turned down, it’s not a Biden or Democrat loss.
It’s a cost to veterans, the sick, the elderly, men, women and children.
And to all sides of the aisle – Independents, Democrats and Republicans.
Liberty and freedom are not sustainable in the midst of such corruption.
President Biden is doing all that he can to control inflation.
But he, nor the Federal Reserve have control over pricing.
In this Capitalist society, there are huge businesses with monopoly.
They have been and are raking in, profiting.
Republicans and many on the right are against regulating.
But that’s a huge part of America’s economic woes.
That’s being kept in the shadows.
Americans hate the consequences but keep deflecting the blame.
Still resisting what’s needed and will lead to substantial and real change.
For many Americans, it’s about the money.
Perceived economic security.
That’s to their gripe and spite.
So they vote for power and control.
To “feel” of worth.
While they let freedom and Rights go.
The intangibles, most precious and priceless are not at the top of their list.
They’re in for basics – food, clothing and other “things”.
Sacrificing security, friendships and self-actualization.
Trading democracy for authoritarian.
Many Americans, including the capitalists desire for their children to do as well or better than they did.
But nowadays, for many groups, salaries won’t cut it.
Yet, over the years, capitalist America favor those who have and are able to invest.
But they aren’t benevolent.
Alas, the same big businesses now rule the Republican side of the government.
Their donations to political campaigns well spent.
Admittance to the policy and principle failures of the GOP loop is difficult for their Party to do.
They’ve garnered more success from denying truth.
That’s a tell – to how they see and perceive their constituents –
Ignorant and corrupt themselves, or indifferent.
Either way, in this day and age, the outcomes are the same.
Yet, they’re offended when labeled.
Dodging and denying, but their being still shows, even with their heads buried in the sand.
Shamelessly loyal to a man who isn’t shy to bully and brand.

Once the American Dream was about being free and living with equal opportunities.
Now, obsessed as capitalists, Americans focus more on the economy.
Making it all about money.
Yes, the economy matters, but more so is the removal of Rights and freedoms.
And historically the GOP’s economic stance, has not advanced US.
Their purpose has been to keep their donors content.
Continue their feel, that their money is well spent.
Many continue to say – “It’s the economy stupid”.
Apparently all else is excluded.
They stay in that lane and vote for financial status and gain.
But times have changed.
The economy will always ebb and flow.
Now it’s not to the politics and politicians we used to know.
With one side, bent on taking away Rights, including the Right to vote.
Giving authoritarians and corrupt politicians control.
What else will it be, if not a show of ignorance and stupidity?
If Americans allow this to become America’s reality.
