Many on the right, think alike.
As Trump – Allow possession of weapons and guns, once I’m not in the line of the firing squad.
As long as the terror and threats stay to the other side of the wall.
Many Americans aren’t bothered at all.
At least that’s how it’s reflected by the choice to not change.
Despite the continued deaths and massacre, they keep their Republican leaders in the range.
After Uvalde, the Republican response was open carry.
The GOP has sponsored a bill to remove the need for gun permits.
While parents are given DNA kits.
That’s the solution to guns blowing their kids to bits.
Owning guns is such a priority.
They minimize the need for life, safety and security.
Humanity has strayed so far from humane.
A waste of heart, soul and brain.
Police have killed more than 1,000 people this year.
No movement to reform or hold to account – as if people don’t care.
Is it because it’s POC who are 3 times more likely to be killed – Why Americans stay chilled?
One in three people killed are fleeing police and it’s more likely that they are Black.
Blacks are less likely to be armed even as they are shot in the back.
Ninety eight percent of the time police are not charged.
Murder with the authority of the badge.
And as long as they don’t see themselves in or relate to the victim, they keep the status quo.
Often thinking, people reap what they sow.
That’s what “those people” deserve.
Even as the victims, families and communities cry out for help.
Enough Americans think they brought it on themselves.
Denying systemic problems and inequality.
Staying in the head and space of “I” and “me”.
Just as with Covid-19, the GOP are successfully shift the blame of inflation to the Democrats.
Which is not limited to this nation but is of global impact.
Brought on by issues that arose from the pandemic and made worse by Putin’s war.
Yet President Biden and his Administration are the identified cause.
When it’s the GOP and the capitalists that empower Corporate America to rule.
While limiting Rights and recourse to those who consume.
Corporations padding themselves even as consumers lose.
Just as the fuel companies soar.
We, the people have been damned into paying more.
While these companies report billions in profits.
Consumers, President Biden and his Administration take the hit.
President Biden and the Democrats have been introducing policies to give back to the working class and for economic stability.
Some of which will take time to be realized.
But with the plethora of Republican lies, the future is made to be bleak.
Americans are fooled to believe that changing to Republican seats is what’s best for America’s economy.
Staying with the notion that Republicans have the answers to America’s economic woes.
Despite what history has shown.
Americans cling to stereotypes and myths.
Data, stats and verifiable truths are low on their list.
Imprinted in their brain, embedded in their DNA.
To hate, despise, not trust the left and Democrats.
Brainwashed to dismiss history and disregard facts.
Believing that government should not rule or regulate, even in their role to protect and serve.
On board with the belief that some citizens, especially those of color and the poor, are of less worth.
Republicans keep bold, the messages of old.
Still promoting the manufacturing of coal as the way America ought to go.
No attention to global warming and still lying about trickle down.
Spreading hate and violence through misinformation.
But people refuse to see and hear beyond what they are being fed.
There is more comfort and less effort when you are allow yourself to be led.
Voters on the right still stand with their leadership who denounced mask and vaccine mandates during the pandemic.
Even that time, as many people died, Republicans engaged in political stunts and gimmicks.
But they can, because that’s the kind of “free” people seek.
Individual freedom without sacrifice, discipline or responsibility.
Not true democracy where every vote counts.
And candidates accept fair election outcomes.
They demand “free” as they chain themselves to lies and conspiracies.
Treat truth and fact as inconvenient and a threat.
And those who dare to tell are held for destruction and death.
The right continually cry for ‘free” as they readily accept outrageous stories.
Over clear and consistent evidence from their own and independent messengers.
It’s a choice to trust and follow certain speakers and presenters.
Despite their dis-ingenuity and danger they pose and how low they go.
Who and what have we become?
A people that settles for scraps and crumbs.
Where are we, the people who would feel shock, empathy and sadness in response to an 82-year old man’s skull being hammered?
Right-wing, using this incident to stir fears of crime.
But at the same time they deny and dismiss.
As if his and his family’s trauma, pain and suffering doesn’t matter or doesn’t exist.
That’s their form of cancel and erase.
To this taste, even when children are killed.
Many in US allow this to persist.
With words, some Republican leaders denounce.
But they bounce back to their dysfunctional Party.
Now more radical and extreme.
Members write and like to their beliefs and their own reality.
Continuously feeding the cancer that grows.
Pretending they don’t know that much of what’s being sold are laced with carcinogens.
Never offering solutions, only highlighting problems.
As they aim to eradicate what doesn’t fit their narrative.
Emboldened to do wrong by their “God”.
Apparently it’s a guaranteed save.
Regardless of how they behave.
No indication that they are willing to change.
A bumper sticker said – Be the change you want to see in the world.
If what continues to unfold is division, unrest and cruelty.
Substituting integrity with indecency.
It speaks volumes about who we are or choose to be.
It seems, if it means having to go beyond Party lies and lines, many on the right are not willing to take that stride.
We don’t close the gate to what we still see as appropriate and appreciate.
They’re not wanting to change or to accept change, but say change is what they are fighting for,
Nostalgia, stagnation and reversal are given higher scores, not advancement and progress.
Until they start to reject the lies and decide to not suppress the truth.
Hold their leaders to that account too.
America will be in the revolving door of doom.
Until it’s honesty, truth and true change that Americans choose.
To decide and vote for the same, reveals what’s in people’s mind, heart and soul.
A slow roll, away from the people we aspired to be and the Country we used to know.
And ironically, that strong desire for the same, means that people have already changed.
To be able to tolerate what’s seen and done.
To accept what the radical right say we ought to become.
It takes a particular kind of heart, soul and brain to agree with this new trajectory they set for the Country.
