The standard for Vice President Harris and Democrats is set very high.
At the same time, the bar for Trump and his Republicans has been placed so low.
And they have no limit on how far down they will go.
Similarly, give people one reason and some will abandon such qualified candidates in Vice President Harris and Governor Walz.
For Trump and his Republicans, there have been cause after cause, after cause.
And still he and his team remain a feasible choice.
For many who stand with them, the motives are clear.
But why would “ordinary” Americans permit one side to be so unfair?
They throw so much s—t, waiting for something to stick.
The media has been sanitizing his babbling and untethered attacks.
His nonsense statements and “alternative facts”.
He lies, he misleads, he deceives, threatens and bullies.
Often, he’s off topic.
If there were threads to follow, what a web he would weave.
He can’t detail solutions or speak to policies.
Separate the world he creates from reality.
He doesn’t uplift or try to unite.
It’s the fight that he likes.
The attention and applause that he craves.
At the end of the day, he makes America less safe.
Is himself a security risk.
Yet he’s the Republican Party’s ticket.
And though many around him know, he’s not fit for the presidency.
They fight to give him the White-House keys.
Trump is clearly not a patriot.
He serves a useful idiot.
As he does the bid of White Supremacists, Christian Nationalists, right-wing, ultra-Conservatives and men like Putin, who want to see the death of America and the downfall of democracy.
So that they can lead by their religious and personal beliefs.
It’s not that Trump and his Republicans could destroy America.
Destroying America IS on their agenda.
With every decision they make.
Every norm and rule they break.
They chip away at law, order, and unity.
Even dividing the Country on what’s true and real.
They have no aim for fair play or equality.
If on those grounds, we can’t agree, THERE IS NO DEMOCRACY!
Sadly, for some, that seems to be their American Dream.
Those following on the right, not only limit, but streamline their sources of information.
And already made their decision about who gets their loyalty.
It’s a mystery – why do Vice President Harris and Governor Walz still have to work so hard to get votes, to convince those not totally sold on Trump’s and Right-wing’s merchandise?
It’s agonizing to realize that Americans have strayed so far from normality.
Indecency and insanity have become the status quo.
Sadly, people don’t want to know.
Because they don’t want to think for themselves or decide.
Maybe their head hurts too much when they try.
They like being led.
That’s why an authoritarian as the American President isn’t far-fetched, for them.
Just like Trump and his Republicans – not patriots – but another level of useful idiots.
