Testing and contact tracing have been identified as the more
immediate need, if we are to safely open the economy.
That, Trump chose to ignore
So we are stuck in a revolving door –
Closing and opening up
When will this madness stop?
Trump says to expect a miracle, any time, any day.
A fast-track vaccine is on the way.
Hopefully they aren’t taking short-cuts and it will be safe.
Didn’t your mama ever tell you don’t put the cart before the horse?
For now, the best solution is to stay the science course.
Not to follow an erratic man whose only consistent plan
Has been to do what he can to promote his campaign
And have himself elected again.
Trump is at full speed, trying to take the political lead –
Lies, propaganda, conspiracy theories.
So over the top –
How can anyone with a clear mind or soul –
believe such a swap?
Trump and his Administration rolled back bills
to protect where we live.
They’ve ignored what Russia has been doing and did.
They remain a threat to affordable health care.
And make us think that those who are
different from us are to be feared.
Multiple attempts at voter oppression and suppression,
Attacks from Trump and his supporters for a different opinion.
For all of this – What are our dues?
What do we have to lose?
- Jobs, income, housing, peace of mind, recreation and family time.
- Now and future for our youth; For what dreams do they shoot?
- Quality of life; Many have already lost their lives; Others are losing their will to strive.
- Right to choose and have an opinion, safety, truth, information.
- Security, safe from foreign attack, health, a clean environment.
- Community, Charity, Unity, our Humanity, our Dignity.
