We the People – what have we become?
Voting in and retaining criminal and corrupt politicians.
Moving the Country toward authoritarianism.
Americans, asking themselves, what they can or will get from the government.
With indifference toward Trump and his Republicans who are for dismantling America and her systems.
Voting specifically by how they “feel”, inconsiderate of society and the Country.
Similarly, that’s been seen with Trump, Republican public-servants and their seats.
We the People – focusing on issues personal to them, despite the strains being placed on America and her systems.
Their patriotic ways have been superficial.
More symbolic than practical or meaningful.
Hateful, trying to destroy a man who knelt during the anthem to highlight social injustice and inequalities against fellow Americans.
Then praise and stand with men who “make up stories” for attention and political gain.
Telling blatant lies that lead to people being harmed and wrongfully blamed.
Instead of expunging this dangerous element from our politics, many stay transfixed – to themselves, their Party, their revengeful, ignorant or racist ways.
Not caring or admitting all that’s at stake.
Making decisions without knowing the consequence of their vote, or what can happen if they don’t.
They see themselves as the best Americans and patriots.
While looking down on their fellowmen.
Reducing them to unhuman.
That’s why Trump and his cruel Republicans don’t seem so bad.
Projecting all their evil to Vice President Harris who they refer to as “Comrade”
Trump and his Republicans aren’t even trying to win votes by persuading voters on their policies, or what they will do for “We the People” and the Country.
They are twisting minds, tainting hearts, darkening souls to their way of thinking.
Gas-lighting and other psychological manipulations toward success.
Letting biases, stereotypes and racist tendencies do the rest.
We the People – ignoring the signs, not heeding warnings from experts, historians, even life-long, hard-core Republicans.
That Trump and his regime are not just weird, they are dangerous and neither Trump nor Vance are fit for the presidency.
Seen as a threat to democracy and a danger to National Security.
Many who served in Trump’s government, refuse to endorse.
Some joining forces with Harris-Walz trying to ensure the MAGA loss.
How can – We the People – stay so ignorant to what the fall of democracy will bring?
In many of their life-times they’ve seen Putin and Castro.
The path from Chavez to Maduro.
Has Hitler been erased from their minds?
Many don’t seem alarmed that White Supremacy and fascism are very much alive.
Being blended into society, mainstreamed.
We the People – remain indifferent, complaisant, focused on money, angry.
Even as Trump and his allies spread negativity, as well as blatant and outlandish lies.
They diminish, degrade and dismiss the one’s genuinely trying to help.
And so many voters don’t care because they believe the fallout aren’t relevant to them.
But in reality they will be affected too.
It won’t only be to the devastation of the targeted blue!
Of course there will be nothing to count if you choose to not vote.
It’s sobering though – stopping a man like Trump hasn’t been enough to motivate some to run to the polls.
That shows a lack of appreciation for Rights, Freedom and the ability to choose.
Which, if he wins, there is so much for US to lose.
Then there are those who go to the polls without understanding how government works.
Ignorant or misinformed.
Easily played, swayed by those who are bent to drastically transform America to their image and likeness – White, fascist and Christian.
Yet millions stay to his side with unwavering conviction.
As they say elections have consequences.
