Let truth reign

It takes faith to have courage, and courage to show faith.
Both seem to be missing when it comes to those who say that their side and their God is always to their “right”.
Ironically, it’s “people of faith” who appear afraid of societal trends and change.
So much so, they turn their beliefs to “alternate” facts and reality.
The ones who preach there ought to be no other gods, bind themselves to Republican politicians.
They, of all people ought to know that when there is a truth or memory lapse, evil, sinister and nefarious won’t hesitate to fill those gaps.
So before they say or do, they ought to learn for themselves.
Not become beholden to someone else.
To do so is anti-Christian and depicts civic negligence.
As they succumb to psychological manipulations in order to avoid cognitive dissonance.
Justify who they’ve become and where they’re leading US to.
As the right wants all to do.
And they do it all in the name of god.
But the righteous has failed to check which one.
Certainly, with Trump, it’s not been about good-will and love.
He acts and is treated like he’s above all and beyond being held to account.
No rules to follow, no laws to abide by.
No principles or truth on which Americans can rely.
Yet they remain loyal, faithful and devoted to a man so thin-skinned he wants to lock up and kill those who criticize him.
He and Vance actually complain and demand that they not be fact-checked.
And they are still given respect.
Seen as legitimate to elect.
While Vice President Harris is picked and probed.
Every word scrutinized.
While the other side is allowed to shamelessly twist and turn, even to tell what wasn’t meant.
But the tribe doesn’t care, are unaware or are misled.
As Vice President Harris is held to task.
Trump puts on and takes off masks.
Questions thrown to her run hard and deep.
Trump is given time to ramble, rave and “weave”.
Different standards and expectations.
As Trump continues to return to safe spaces, engage in photo ops and stage productions.
To stand by and with, his disciples use proven lies and debunked conspiracies.
Perceptions, biases, stereotypes and myths.
Nostalgic for what’s been.
Then there are issues lingering within.
Lacking the courage, they prevent these from surfacing.
Added to that, they limit their focus and views by choice.
Not seeking the truth but being swayed by the louder, stronger more boisterous and entertaining voice.
It’s in that context that they choose sides.
Define their problems, prioritize and strategize to solutions that will have effects beyond themselves.
Unfortunately, there isn’t concern for anyone else.
If this is the path that Americans continue to take.
Hopefully they realize that any attempt to steer away will be very difficult to do.
At least with Harris-Walz, they can still choose.
In four years’ time, if you don’t like what they’re about, you can vote them out.
There won’t be that chance with Trump and Vance.

Trump-pets, when you look in the mirror, who do you see – yourself or Trump?
Or have you already merged into one?
What void did you have within that you felt a need to fill, with a man like him?
His personality and his type of politics.
It’s when we lack the will to do the work and get in the know, that we tend to follow.
And when there is no courage for introspection, we blindly adopt other peoples’ thoughts, ideals and direction.
But one day Trump’s face will fade and yours will stay.
That which you become.
You won’t be able to hide from that one.
May we all have the faith needed to build courage and use that courage to keep our faith.
With that, truth will reign.
