I’m trying to understand what Trump voters want.
For males to be dominant.
Women stay subservient.
For Whites to be at the head of the line.
All others walk quietly behind.
For Trump to have his way and be King.
His subjects obediently following.
Do away with democracy.
Embrace Trump’s monarchy.
Big businesses to keep their advantage.
Smaller ones may or may not manage.
Increase the gap between rich and poor.
Give the top–two-percent more.
Keep the divide between the Have and Have-Nots.
Destroy chances for others to move up.
Not secure health insurance for all.
Have Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security fall.
Dismiss Truth and moderation.
Go Far Right – No negotiations.
Keep racism and unjust systems.
No real plans from the Government.
Religion entwined with politics.
What if you have no religion,
or yours is not included in their mix?
Continuously poking for culture wars.
Daily living with scandal and chaos.
More stress for those around you
which likely would get to you too.
What if you do get your wish?
Then, your life takes a shift –
and you’re on the down side of the track?
Do you have a plan to get yourself back?
If you don’t – give it a thought.
And remember your hand in closing it off.
