The Trump Administration never led this Country through a Crisis.
If you’re trying to see through a crystal ball, look at Covid.
Obama and Biden had to bring the ship afloat and give it sails.
Trump came in and has been riding on their coattails ever since.
When all was well, Trump was enjoying the feel of the wind.
Now with the crisis storm he’s been standing still.
With nothing to back his claim, he just has to say
He will bring the Country back again.
And people are game to endorse his name.
Despite Trump’s missteps and mishaps, many willingly stand with him.
Diversion from his present path is looking very slim.
For Democrats, you take a tougher stance – the candidate must be perfect.
Democrats must speak to all and have a plan for every call.
Must be everything to everyone,
Or else the vote to them is gone.
For Democrats, it has not been an easy ride.
That unfairness you show those politicians,
Seems to ring true for citizens too.
Those who vote different or think different from you
You’re less likely to show any empathy to.
Just like the President
Just and fair was never your intent.
When in truth, the “other side” is no more your enemy
Than they were 10 years ago.
Trump’s label change from opponent
Was the first step to making it so.
And he got your belief.
Much to his relief.
But it’s not just votes that he stole.
He’s been on a rampage to own America’s soul.
Win at all cost has been Republican’s and Trump’s motto.
That has been supported by many of their voters.
That’s the one-sidedness that blooms today.
When, as with life, there should be more balance to the scale.
When we overindulge, there is often a cost.
That type of greed to proceed already comes with a loss.
Because to implement what’s being done.
Part of America’s soul must already be gone.
