Trump voters can no longer deny who they are.
The leader makes it clear in his saying and doing.
In 2016, some could have claimed ignorance.
But now it’s all out in the open.
He hasn’t been using the Presidency for governing.
It’s been his platform for recruiting.
Whether it’s for the Alt-Right or the All-Right.
His message is clear and resounding.
From how it has been in his political game –
Both groups are seeming to be one and the same.
People say they hate politicians.
Because they are corrupt, they lie, they cheat.
Yet they vote in McConnell and Graham.
Liars and cheats – the likes of which we’ve never seen.
Rewarding them – re-electing them to their seats.
Trump’s up has been putting people down.
He has no other skill to rely on.
His pretense is not about who he is.
It’s about who he is trying to influence in the moment.
He says what he wants heard.
And who he wants to reach, listens.
So if you are one to cling to his words.
Somehow you fit into his system.
That type of association is not a positive one.
Distance and separation –
Should be the aim of any decent person.
But somehow he taints what has been decent.
Makes nefarious, the innocent.
Partisan – the independent.
Demonize and dehumanize the opponent.
Republicans decided on a sinister deal.
Release their values – Lie, Cheat, Steal.
They decided for power – gave in to greed.
Accepting Trump in the lead.
So they went with – everything goes
When it comes to giving him votes.
No longer doing for the People’s benefit.
They only way they will think to jump Trump’s ship
Is if they feel he can no longer give them a win.
But it seems that Trump has gone rogue.
He may no longer want the Party in tow.
No need for partners if you’re King.
That seems to be where he’s heading.
It’s not just the politicians, it’s the people too.
Their choices no longer align with character, morals or values.
Imagine the Alt-Right and people like Trump
Have a societal place.
While people are voting against, despising and hating
People of Color, the poor and gay.
Imagine Jews and the likes of the KKK
Supporting the same Presidential candidate.
A Republican Jewish Coalition
Spending 3.5 million in support of Trump
Even after he failed to denounce the Alt-Right Militia.
There is something fundamentally wrong
with a percentage of America’s population.
No longer respecting societal rules and norms.
And they are being given a platform.
Permission to move up and on.
Not everyone cares for them
But they are tolerated nevertheless.
So these groups and individuals are allowed to rise
Their dangers are dismissed, downplayed or denied.
But as these groups continue to be.
They are becoming part of the mainstream.
What is downright wrong and a-moral ,
More and more accepted as the norm.
Those are the dangers our societies face.
Resulting in White Supremacists and Alt-Right Militia having a space.
They are getting support from the highest office in the land.
The GOP and their voters are complaisant and remain silent.
There is nothing so worthy in what Trump is giving.
Lacking substance – only padding, filling and wishful thinking.
His means do not justify any end someone might get.
And if it’s normalcy, decency, morality and democracy we are seeking,
Trump cannot be voted in again.
