Even their executives say the programs are based on opinions.
Sensationalized with gossip types for entertainment.
Developed to grab ratings.
Much like tabloid TV.
In line with what the National Enquirer has been.
Yet they are promoted as News.
And that’s the perception of the viewers.
Millions accept their information as fact.
And the Network has done nothing to correct that.
There are no standards for hosts and guests.
There’s no fact-check.
They all say what they want.
As long as it props their agenda – they have a forum.
Social and political – no matter the consequence.
Compromising people’s health.
Contributing to Covid-19 deaths.
It’s truly a disgrace how blatantly they lie to people’s faces.
But it seems behind the scenes – they sometimes go for what’s real.
They didn’t totally appear to reject the task of wearing a mask.
Shamelessly, Laura Ingraham was called out by Trump
At one of his super-spreader shows.
Trump said he never saw her wear a mask before.
She was trying to be “politically correct” –
Was his guess.
As they protect themselves and their loved ones.
They downplay to the public.
Through their words and deeds, deceitful leads
Not just unethical.
Actions bordering on criminal.
Tucker Carlson reported that Biden “demands obedience”
and doesn’t “believe in dissent”.
That “shut up and obey” was the Biden-Harris message.
Lying and trying to taint their reputation.
With serious consequence and nefarious implication.
He didn’t promote truthfully
That Biden had called for unity.
Then Guiliani claimed that ballots in Pennsylvania
Were counted in secret,
When those counts were live-streaming.
Initial accusations of voter fraud.
Even in States run by Republicans.
There were Trump-supporting Associates,
Denying such accusations.
But as they sided with the truth.
They weren’t talking on Fox News.
They were on other Networks.
That message Fox News didn’t care to promote.
In their bid to have a Biden-win rejection.
The hosts claim that Networks can’t call the results of Elections.
Which is how it has historically been done.
Meanwhile, Graham and McConnell accepted their win
As Networks called them before the completion of the vote-counting.
The same scenario for Trump’s win in Alaska.
Boastfully tweeted out by Ivanka.
In this land, people call for freedom of speech.
To say what they want.
Even when untrue and dangerous.
And when there is misrepresentation.
No care or intervention to hold truth as sacred.
As long as they are on the side of the control and win –
They do not restrain or restrict.
Truth matters, but is of no use
If people choose not to hear it.
So Fox News can let loose
As people have given them the permit.
.As a business it has no ties to civil or patriotic.
Contrary, they likely get more ratings for chaotic.
Yet it’s an entity that many take seriously.
So the network has a responsibility to not lead erroneously
It shouldn’t always be about profit, ratings and win.
Sometimes it’s just about doing the right thing.
And it’s not to say that other Networks and hosts
Are always on the straight and narrow.
But their paths aren’t shadowed
with the amount of deliberate deceptions Fox News brings.
And as viewers we have a responsibility to sift and be critical.
Seek the truth and not just side with or be political.
We as citizens and voters need to be more responsible.
But there are those who are vulnerable, or less knowledgeable.
Who are played and manipulated.
Fox News and their like – No shortage on the conservative side.
Continue their dis-service with bias and lies.
Disguised as news,
When it’s personal views and political agendas.
Not always facts, but often propaganda.
If Americans reject what Fox News and their likes bring,
They wouldn’t be continuing.
But instead they are accepted, even embraced.
Now truth is displaced, and they are a mainstay.
To which people hold and never break.
Dangerous contributors to conspiracies, lies and hypocrisy.
Continued threats to America and America’s democracy.
