With Trump and the Right there has been a definite racist tone.
But for some, it may not be racism alone.
There are other underlying reasons why people found Trump pleasing.
And why they went ahead to embrace his make America great again.
Too excessive –
This war between the Conservatives and the Progressives.
It has led to disassociations and disconnections.
Politicians are taking advantage of the situation.
Yet, as the World turns there are natural evolutions.
And with some of those changes,
The Left appear to match better with needed solutions.
Take the wearing of masks, which has been under attack.
Some people are slowly coming to accept
That it’s a valid effort to keep the virus in check.
Not an attempt by the Left to remove personal freedom.
It’s based on solid scientific reasons.
In this Nation, many fear what comes with globalization.
And for some, the demographic shifts
Will lead to loss of power, relevance and influence.
The social evolutions that they see
Like with the advancement of the LGBTQ community.
People have been feeling scared of changes they see ahead.
They prefer to stay with traditional roles.
Remain with what they know.
Because that makes their lives more manageable and predictable.
So that’s where their anxiety comes in.
Changes to which the Left are more easily adjusting.
And so those on the Left represent
A type of progression the Right is resisting.
So for some, Trump’s attraction has been an anxiety reduction.
He aligns with what they know back when
White, strong men were at the head.
And similar with Pence –
A reflection of the religious and moral sense.
That hooked some in to the point of trance.
Salivating at the chance
To have their Biblical and Religious “rights” advance.
And their fights became strong against the secular “wrongs”’.
Because they think there is a deterioration of values.
At least a drift from what they are used to.
The representations of the past –
They want for them to last.
But in the end Trump and his Administration were mirages.
They came with too much baggage.
And they brought with them another side –
The unethical, amoral, unfair and vile.
And that’s where the problems lie.
People’s willingness to accept all of Trump’s tries
To keep their traditional and nostalgic ties.
But like with those who want to hold on to mining coal.
It’s not a sustainable or productive goal.
The world is changing and moving forward.
If you stand still, you will lose out.
Especially if you don’t face what the true fear is about.
Such displacements to the Left –
That uncomfortable feeling that many want to forget and reject.
Has even grown for some to resentment.
So the Right continues to misplace the hate and blame
And by doing so, healing cannot take place.
They have to be willing to accept the truth.
That it’s not just the Left pushing the changes through.
Some of these changes are naturally driven.
And those on the Left are not villains.
It’s that the Left has been more comfortable and at peace
With the evolutions that will be.
Like parents not wanting their children to grow.
Terrified when they feel they are losing control.
So they find fault, lash out and scold.
Meanwhile the teenager continues to show
Movement to independence and freedom.
A new pathway – inevitable.
Not wrong – just different, but unstoppable.
Yes there are racists and hate groups.
But there are those that were easily duped.
Their fear and anger were stroked and displaced.
In their mind there are threats to their existence.
So they attached to what they thought would slow the pace
of those threatening developments.
That was what Trump meant to them.
Then they got caught up in his psychological maneuvers.
His ability to consistently manage the news cycles.
Not to mention the effects of mob mentality.
That brought normalcy to his Presidency.
But hopefully this break from Trump.
Can lead these people to a path for redemption.
Promoting, accepting or tolerating
Such entities and ideology is iniquitous.
No matter the reason.
Similarly for the Religious who lost sight of other values.
As well as the “Love One Another” rule.
In their bid to “attack-the-secular” pursuits.
It’s sad that they were all willing to sacrifice other’s lives
So they could get a smoother ride.
Directly contributing to the Country’s demise.
They need to come to that realization.
Switch gears and re-steer.
And be mindful that they are susceptible to such manipulations.
It’s time to stop the attacks and show care.
But more so, recognize what they were willing to become
To promote for their own advancement.
They need to come to terms with that.
Put measures in place to monitor and when needed, re-track.
