Many Americans suffer financial or die.
Wasted time and resources.
As Trump attempts to reverse legal and the course of justice.
It’s hard to think this is the kind of forgiveness
Meant when the Presidential power of the pardon was given.
Leaders who were denying that the virus is real.
At the front of line receiving the vaccine.
Wanting to be protected from a hoax.
The situation, if it wasn’t so serious, could be seen as a joke.
Yes, their safety is a matter of national security.
But likely, that was in their calculation.
As they led and set a bad example for the Nation.
Reckless leaders who had Covid-19 symptoms
Enjoyed the best and earliest medical interventions.
Receiving the best care,
Which for the rest of US, doesn’t compare.
When leaders get a taste of invincibility.
They then believe that is how it should be.
So they act in a way to make it so.
And that in and of itself makes their power grow.
Their followers in line, in tow.
Then subscribe to their leaders’ “everything goes”.
As his Presidency comes to an end.
Trump has been sniffing on the fumes of his power.
He has been trying to extend
What he sees as thinning by the hour.
Reports reveal that Trump knew he lost the Election.
His behavior that ensued was due to his lack of acceptance.
Coupled with the fact that he’s been previously left unchecked.
Expectations growing in his head.
So he tried many ways to have himself stay.
A big lie became his battle cry.
False claims that the election was stolen.
To his words, people are holding.
With Hawley and Cruz adding fuel to his flame.
To keep theirs and Trump’s power light burning.
Trump threw more gasoline in the mix, people were killed.
Some Republicans proceeded for their fill.
The incident didn’t serve as a deterrent.
Securing their political position was deemed more urgent.
So they still went on the House floor.
Making objections for their political score.
Voting against the election certification.
Their fist in support of the insurrection.
These leaders are making themselves greater
than what they are willing to give.
It’s to the power that they are now enslaved.
No longer public servants.
Nor is serving the citizens their purpose.
And with the failure to place limits.
They become addicted to seeing their powerful image.
So if they are continually let go.
They will become more powerful.
More difficult to contain.
Less ability to restrain.
That’s the path that is being created.
As the powerful keeps getting elevated.
