Imagine in America, the land of the free – There has been a need to build a permission structure, for Republicans to vote outside of their Party. To move beyond what they are bound, and to which they’ve been accustomed. Even for women to have a political choice, different from their husband’s. These people are their worst enemy and a threat to democracy. Limited by their perceptions, biases, stereotypes and firm mind-set. But easily swayed by the enhancement of anger, fear and threats. Lie-ridden advertisements. Emotion, snippets, sound bites and snapshots are enough. They’re drawn to characters that show harsh and tough. With an appetite for tabloid, drama and disinformation. To that estimation, they won’t recognize gems that America already possesses, when they seem them. Appreciation, pride and kindness wanes. They accept the shows, productions and actions staged. Once at the junction of “character matters” and “defend democracy”. Now they prefer to be at the corner of Trump/Vance and I don’t care. As they lose themselves, oftentimes they’re unaware.
Some who once believed in the forefathers’ dream of equality and diversity. Now they vote against those ideas and ideals. Those may not have been truly rooted in their heart and soul. So easily sold to embrace one issue, one thought, one man, one plan, one Party. They’ve abandoned community, society and country. They are out to destroy America’s core. What used to be the source of pride and patriotism. Now they eye autocracy and fascism. How can such a trade have been made so easily? As they also befriend enemies of democracy. Voting for the continuation of chaos and corruption. Throwing shade and hate to the candidate speaking of peace and unity. Selling America so that she can no longer be. Wanting to make her Trump Country. To his name, standard and brand. For a forever stand. The forefathers’ American dream and MAGA politics, don’t mix. It’s ironic that what they’re now willing to throw away paved the way to the gain of power, Rights, freedom and choice. What seemingly, they don’t want anymore. What they reject, they won’t get. It will be to a huge cost should those in US experience such a loss.
Following Trump
He got his information from the television, social media, read about it somewhere, or he was told. He poses as a really “smart” man, while he embraces dumb and ignorant at a frequent rate. Led by his impulses, he often creates a mess and has to be followed by a clean-up crew. Who are you that believe such a man is fit or ought to have a chance to be president? One who cannot see beyond himself and is controlled by his big ego. Those around him know the truth. But they participate and add to the deception, the violence, the harm and disruptions to individuals, the Country, and in general, to humans. Becoming numb to the cruelty. To accept it all, they distance themselves from reality. Abandon empathy. They can’t have honest conversations with those who disagree. They are forced to stay where lies are accepted and fed. They limit themselves, soaking in the anger, hate and dread. That kind of hold, only serves to darken their heart, mind and soul. They’ve been transformed into Trump. Thoughts, behavior and intent. Hopefully, it isn’t permanent. That Trump, MAGA and right-wing extreme won’t succeed to topple democracy. That soon Trump-pets will be aware of the people they’ve become. Reject the transformation. Reclaim their American Dream. Stop mimicking, but oppose and denounce, what Trump and MAGA tells them they believe and who they ought to be.
The problem with truth
In order to find and face the truth, you have to see it. To live with it, you must believe it. Unfortunately the desire to know, is often incompatible with the deceptions and perceptions some choose to believe. And they seek confirmation to their set beliefs, stereotypes and biases. So to escape this trap, they have to reject all of that and be open to a different mind-set. But if seeking the truth is never their intent, they will always be drawn to its replacement.

Did you think you would live to see the day – A candidate for the President of the United States selling merchandise? Much, at a price that the voters he’s trying to woo, having to serve, can’t even dream to buy. Maybe his donors and friends will make an investment. With the hopes that if he’s sentenced or after he’s dead, there will be profits for them. That may sound sinister but we shouldn’t be surprised. Trump’s narcissistic, unprincipled, sociopathic personality has been accepted and normalized. So we can expect more of his kind to show. Self-centered and self-serving, many more of those. Who would find it difficult to survive, without attention and likes. People who will expect more for doing less. Even when they’re obviously incompetent, they will see themselves as better than all the rest. They will demand loyalty and once they feel they’ve been aggrieved, they will attack and seek revenge. They will not forget a person’s lack of loyalty. They will pursue to their wish, relentlessly, but not concede when they lose. They will use those around them like pawns in a game. There will be no empathy or shame, only blame to others around. Believing that it’s weak to help and lift up. Strong, to put down.
Now, the specimen of a man, seen as fit to be president. If this is what we reinforce, this is what we’ll get! Unfortunately, as a society – we “ain’t seen nothing yet!”
Easy prey
Christian leaders dining, collaborating with the wolves. Leaving the flock exposed. On the side of those willing to remove Rights, Freedoms and free-will. They, who want the people subservient and blindly following. To some extent, the Church operates to similarly mold. Getting many in the flock to just do as they’re told. Apparently, there are Christians with an unwavering thought – If you believe in Jesus, you can’t vote for anyone in the Democratic Party. So seemingly, Republicans have the market on Christianity. Therefore, no matter how vile, vicious, indecent or dangerous Republicans become, Christians are bound. No way for escape, they can’t get out. Confined, susceptible, vulnerable, and defenseless – with Church leaders’ help. As a result, the flock is easily led to the steps of Trump and his Republicans, fully on board, without discord. Sanctioned by the Church, despite the evil within and warning signs. Those of “faith” march in line.
Trump came to South Florida, not for the Republican debate, but to own the stage. As the willing participants of his cult, the audience, paid homage to him. Their signs – “Florida is Trump Country”, “Hialeah is Trump Country”. Obvious who and what they seek. Many of them and their families fled Castro’s control. But because they see Trump as their own, he’s acceptable.
As Trump spoke ill of immigrants and his intent to place a heavy hand when it comes to immigration, even making threats of “mass deportation” – they cheer. What they ought to fear and stay clear from – they embrace. For whatever reason, Trump is to their taste. Ignorant, misinformed, confused – whichever, there’s no excuse. Seemingly, just like viewers of Fox “News” – they want to be lied to.
Cuba – decades under the power and control of Castro. Russia – bottomless wins for Putin, with limitless terms. Americans wanting the strongman, an authoritarian. Ironically, using their Right to vote, to make it so. Even as Trump boasts – this cast, may be their last. To the claim, only he and his allies can do, because only they are allowed to. As per their rule.
Cuban Americans refuse to accept that there are similarities between Trump and Castro. Reflected in his actions, words and plans. In the way we’ve seen him lead and the strong men he admires so. From his desire to use force, take away choice. Engage the military to control civilians. Yearning for power and freedom to jail, even kill, his opponents. Spread disinformation and propaganda in schools. Brainwash the youth. He even says in four year, he will rig the elections. Telling Christians they won’t have to vote. To that note, encouraging what’s unfair, unjust, lacking benevolence. Willing to embrace ungodly elements. Many Cuban Americans identify as “White”, of light skin and tasted privilege. But in America that doesn’t guarantee equality. Many Trump advisors believe White is supreme. And want to build a hierarchy in this Country. Again, another group choosing to stay blind. Despite what they already experienced and had to leave behind.
The (Republican) State of the Church
To get what they want, just like so many Republicans, Church leaders led their flock to Trump. The disdain for Democrats due to their stance on abortion and other positions, made them ignore the sins and dangers that loomed. In so doing, they permitted the grooming of their flock by predators and beasts of prey. Church leaders failed to address and warn Christians about the dark side of Trump. Left them vulnerable, and they were lured into Trump’s cult. Christians easily strayed as Church leaders underestimated the flock’s desire to meet the messiah, so much so, they created their own, here on earth. And it wasn’t only Trump that Church leaders failed to call out. People of faith, have been prominent in American politics. Many are Christians and some specifically, Catholics. Hugging the attention, they use their power and influence, to steer those following and listening to them. Obviously answering to Trump and his Republican Party. They engage in slander and cruelty, as a deliberate, seen as a winning strategy. Which the flock copies and repeats. Also, these political leaders mirror the Church in their exclusion of certain members of society. Dismissing their beliefs. Not recognizing their Rights and liberties. While the Church sits by silently as Trump, Vance and Republicans attack their “enemies”. With that they don’t discriminate, all is fair game. But even when they take aim at individuals in the government. The direct targets aren’t the only ones that they stand against or offend. For instance, their criticisms, fault finding and chastisement likely didn’t stay with Vice President Harris. There will be millions of women with similar experience who are in parallel that would be hit by their words as well. Women like her, without biological children of their own are being pierced by these arrows. She is being described as a DEI candidate despite her qualifications. How many people of color have been insulted by such accusations? Same as against President Obama, they threw in birtherism, questioned her race, making stereotypical statements. How many in America are familiar with this kind of treatment? Those who pick at the scabs and the wounds of American society. Not to heal, but to add to the injury. Unfortunately, it’s that point of view, many Americans subscribe to. They willingly follow the path of the ones who dictate, hate and discriminate. So if they succeed to merge State and Church – What side of Christianity would likely emerge?
The wolf speaks to the sheep
Trump, invited by the Israeli American Council to talk about anti-Semitism. Difficult to fathom. Jewish groups that keep giving him the mic, power and stage even though he’s never spoken against the anti-Semitic types or the likes of the KKK. He used the platform to gripe that the Jewish community failed to give him votes, even though he has already proven to be on the side of Israel. He proceeded to tell the audience without insight or shame, if he loses this election, Jewish voters are to shoulder the blame. Were his anti-Semitic stance and remarks meant to endanger only Jewish Democrats? Will his minions verify on that before they attack? Trump also seems to pit the Jewish Community against Muslims. Sadly, some are falling for it and that’s to his benefit.
Trump spews hate and has attacked group, after group, after group. Yet no matter how low he stoops, members of those groups still give him props. Their brace and backing for him hasn’t stopped. How long will it take for those who gave him this invite, to draw the line?
The Nazis’ ride
Hitler types on the same side, even getting a ride from some in the Jewish community. Sharing the same Party. Jewish Americans helping to bring those folks, their idea and ideals into mainstream. How can that be? Yes, at times you’ve stood against hate. But you haven’t directly opposed Trump and the Republican Party when it comes to how they relate to the entry of White Supremacy. These are people Republicans seek for their endorsements and votes. Trump and Republican associates, even go, on self-described White Supremacist shows. Invite them to dine and speak. Offer political, public servant seats. In on discussions and decisions. Christian Nationalists on Trump’s list of advisors, who not only have his ear, but are the ones steering him. They’ve put their intent and agenda in print. Which Trump and Vance have tried to distance themselves from, but the stench doesn’t come off. Not good for the Jewish Community or the Country. Don’t be ignorant or naive to think that if Trump and his minions win, you won’t be at the receiving end of their attack. You wouldn’t want a certain history to repeat, if Trump and his Republicans take America back!
The mess will spread!
Medical personnel AFRAID to intervene. This can result in horrible scenes around the Country. It doesn’t stay with the woman, her pain and suffering. What families will be enduring and witnessing. The imprint on their souls, their heart and their minds. Coming from the chaos, the cruelty, and the unkind. The laws don’t just take away the woman’s Right to choose. It’s the barbaric rules that hamper care, which also apply to women who don’t choose abortion, but suffer a miscarriage or another pregnancy complication. They too will suffer the same fate. And those who think this mess Trump and the Republican Party create will stay contained – History shows again and again, the effects will spread. From the individual, to the family, to the community, society and Country. The emotional, psychological, spiritual and economic toll will continue to unfold. There are Americans who steadfastly stay by Republicans despite all the malicious and grim they bring. Believing their aims will remain with the libs and the left. Unbeknownst to them, the evil and the effects of their mess, will spread!
Why women die
Medical personnel under threat. Forced to wait until a patient is near death before they can intervene. Creating scenes where women suffer and bleed over time. Courtesy those who also claim they are for life. If their aim was to force the birth – it doesn’t work! A consequence of the abortion ban – it lessens the chance that a woman would seek to have others assist. A missed opportunity, making it less likely that the righteous right would get to counsel and possibly change minds. And will church personnel find themselves in the claws of the law? If a woman discusses her options and then aborts anyway, wouldn’t that prompt enforcers to investigate? Republicans didn’t just remove a woman’s Right to choose. When the abortion is already done, doctors’ aren’t allowed to perform life-saving intervention. Amber Thurman and Candi Miller suffered and died because they were denied life-saving care. Government interfered, medical personnel frozen by fear.
Your silence is deafening
Given your history, those in the Jewish Community – Where have you been when it comes to Trump and his minions? You’ve had ads against Presidential candidates Biden and Clinton. Going on 10 years as a politician, we’ve seen who Trump is and what he’s done. Who advises him on his campaign run. Who he listens to, dines with and has at his side. Extremists, Hitler-types, even wannabes and look-alikes. Trump and his team lying about sections of the population. Resulting in hate, violence and discrimination. Destroying people’s lives, shattering their sense of safety and security. Since Trump came on the political scene, hate crimes and political violence have increased. When there have been attacks to your community, you run ads reminding the Country of the vulnerability and danger to all in society. That can and should be said about the effects and intent of Trump with urgency. Notably, the movement against pro-Palestinian protests came harsh and swift. Even to the heights of Capitol Hill. Yet, you haven’t shown any definite or consistent stance to protect America’s democracy or her people, other than yourself. But even being void of words and action – it’s still a big tell.
Thank You President Biden
We the People, under-appreciating a kind and honest man. Working 50 plus years as a public servant, having no major scandal. Not marred by the dirtiness of politics. Genuinely wanting to improve and fix. Still intact are his morals and integrity. Not shown to be like his “friends” and colleagues who choose power, money and greed. Now working against him as the enemy. Standing with and for corrupt. Enabling and championing Trump.
When President Biden speaks, yes his voice may sound weak. But his content is of substance. His intent, often to help and heal. Trump may don the stronger voice. But lies and deception have been his choice. Comparing them, many say both sides are the same. And when President Biden was still in the race, they claimed – either way America is screwed. Not true, if democracy is valued.
A man experiencing life changing, heart breaking tragedy. Known by his “superpower” when it comes to love, care and empathy. Staying positive. Messaging hope, belief and having faith in the goodness of humankind. While others find reasons to defame and bring him down. No hesitance to taint his name, even when it’s just his policies they hate. And through it all, he stays strong. He’s unfairly, unjustly blamed and even when the truth is revealed, the stench doesn’t leave. While the other side unfairly and unjustly takes credit for. Despite their obvious lies, deceit and disinformation, their side still scores. A more honest politician against a con man, behind in the polls. Even as age takes its toll, he still fights for America’s democracy. Doing what he thinks is best for the Country. Unselfishly, he stepped down from seeking another term. Hopefully, his legacy stands firm. We should acknowledge and pay him tribute. And those who are on the side of truth. The least you can do is say “Thank You”.
Christians for Trump
Christians for Trump – you put Christianity on the world stage. Even on his best days, the look hasn’t been good. It’s obvious he’s been using you to improve his image and get votes. You very well know, it will never be about repentance and spiritual growth. Of note, attaching yourself to him – your reputation has taken a hit. And you’re now associated with deliberate wrongdoing and sin. You let him into the fold on his terms. A mockery, a show, a PR spectacle. He’s been using the Church as a pedestal to groom and woo. Believing it’s him all ought to look up to. Getting followers to say and display his name. He’s all about attention and fame. He also thinks he can be God and with your help, he’s felt. Now his quest for such power is harder to squelch. Was it worth it – for what you thought you would gain? It’s been a drain and forever you’re stained. History will tell why belief in the Church fell as you contributed to his success.
Conservatives for Trump ditched political correctness for vulgarity, indecency, apathy and lawlessness. Values, being and doing good, no longer exist. Their hate for the left is so strong, they destroyed the face of true conservatism. Now it’s Trump’s. Whatever Trump is – that’s Conservative! Conservatives and the extreme right have said – China is not America’s friend. But when Trump lavishes praise on Xi Jungping, no one corrects or stands up to him. The ideals on which the United States was built – diversity, freedom and equality. Now Trump, Conservatives and Republican leadership admire men who stand against democracy. Conservatives all in for White Christian Nationalism and an authoritarian regime. Rights, freedom, just and fair – when it comes to the opposition, they don’t care. They’ve relieved themselves of blame and taking responsibility. Given impunity, lacking accountability. Chaos, confusion, criminality, seasoned with white supremacy are leading the present Republican – self-proclaimed, inaccurately labeled conservative party. Unfortunately, loyalty to Trump and Party is not just conservative, it’s patriotic. Whatever they want to do. As long as the “libs” and the “socialist pigs” don’t rule. Again and again Trump and his Republicans insult and disrespect. Is there a group they haven’t bad-mouthed yet?’ How is it that he’s still an option to be America’s president? He is who he is. So what does it say about those in US still voting for him?
They take what they reject
Republicans say they hate “socialists”. But often, they enjoy and embrace what the “socialists” give. Accessibility to insurance and services through the ACA. Adult Daycare – they won’t be pleased to have that taken away. Transportation to medical appointments. The many vans across the neighborhood – also to the provision of employment. The stimulus checks because of Covid-19. In general they shun, but not when they are the ones receiving green. The benefits from Medicaid and Medicare. Social security cuts – Don’t you dare! Democrats sacrifice their political lives. Their career as public servants take a nose dive when they vote in favor of middle and low income. Easily destroyed and crushed. Without shame, Republicans as Capitalists – reject, object and fret. Nowadays, the GOP has become and accept corrupt to keep their positions. No show of contrition. In fact, despite voting against bills the Democrats pass, the GOP takes credit and do victory laps. The loss of Republican seats have been because they chose to impeach a corrupt President. A Party so different from what they say they stand for. And they so powerfully draw to their fraudulent means. Radical and authoritarian define their new American Dream. Ostracized, not for doing wrong but for straying from Party lines. What they say they despise in others, they embrace for themselves and march on. Now the foot-print of Republicans. Not realizing that they confine themselves to their perception of power and free. Limited to what they “believe”, not allowing what may come, or could have been. Not truly open to get – Just hogging what they say they reject. Somehow that validates, empowers and pleases them.
Capitalists appear to think that their theory should apply beyond economics. To social, cultural and religious – the survival of the fittest, the richest, and the most privileged. If you can – live above or circumvent the law. Even if it’s to others’ loss or of a high cost. You need not refrain when it’s to your gain. Otherwise, find fault and complain. There is no care about injustice. Take the abortion law. It’s well known that such laws will not apply to all. There are inherent discrepancies. Which rolls off the apathetic capitalist regime. If you can – pay, go out of State or Country if you wish. Vote for strict then disobey it.
In America some have to fight for healthy foods, minimum care and affordable rent. No consent by society to supply all with basic needs. Complaisant to greed and obtaining through unjust means and criminality. At least for certain sections of society. In some neighborhoods, it’s difficult to obtain affordable vegetables. Chips and cookies are cheap. So that’s what people eat. A side of society prone to disease. These discrepancies so apparent with Covid-19. Before the vaccines were introduced – Essential workers who got no breaks to work from home were exposed and died the most. Instead of concern, Americans who survived and did well, rebel. Demanding open and back to normal. Now analyses confirm the fate of those of lower education and income. Five times more likely to die. And that’s alright to the capitalist’s eye.
Guns are to hold …
Conservatives claim that guns are a target of the left’s obsession. But the left is responding to the rights’ omission and oblivion. Never the place or the time to address the role of guns in the horrendous crimes. According to Conservatives, it’s in the spirit of banning their precious guns. Even though it isn’t. Guns are an integral part of a societal problem. Therefore a necessary component when finding solutions. Yet they ban guns from discussions and conversations. As they push to obtain permits to prolific and for open carry. In an already traumatized and wounded society. No, by themselves, guns don’t shoot – People do. Thus the need for regulations and rules. They can dictate to precision – decisions that women and doctors can’t make. But they refuse to take any steps, even those of broad strokes. To tackle a problem that removes lives and dampens hope. Those benefitting the most are motivated to keep the status quo. So what is the priority to retain members of the GOP who go against making any kind of change? Those getting boosts from the NRA? Like Rubio, McConnell and Cruz. Just a few of a longer list of Republicans who also aren’t dismissed when they vote against what the majority of Americans supposedly want. And it’s not this one issue. Others are ignored too. It’s been very clear as to where Republicans’ loyalty lies. And that they won’t cross their line to do what is right. So to continue voting any of them in, is sanctioning. In the least, reinforcing. Why aren’t pro-lifers aghast? America’s horror and outrage don’t seem to last. Kids are getting killed. Another case of Americans doing nothing. Subjecting (young) lives to trauma, terror and anxiety. Adding to the notorious reputation of American society. A land with so much potential, squandering an abundance of resources and means. For the massacre of children and teens. It was 1999 for Columbine. Later this year it will be twelve since Sandy Hook. And Americans are complicit as Conservatives streamline to their side by removing Rights and books. To eradicate different points of view and folks of different strokes. Politics just to address culture wars and “woke”. While more pressing problems and crises remain. Gaining the speed of a runaway train. As those of like minds are validated and emboldened to act. Mass shootings and attacks are to the same goals, just a different approach. To this darkness, the continued lack of response is not because we are helpless. It’s because we are heartless. Some go beyond minimizing the role of guns to the denial of lives being lost. Their motto of sort – Guns are to hold and people are expendable.
If you can keep your pennies and cents
Rick Scott’s 11-point plan, so typical of present day Republicans. All about stoking fear and drumming up culture wars. Giving the right cause to despise the left. The impact of his plan will surely be felt if he taxes below the poverty line. Speaking as if he struck a gold-mine. He says it’s because every bit helps. Yet, they don’t touch the top two percent. It’s been reported that 55 Fortune 500 companies earning $40 billion in profits, paid no Federal taxes. But it’s to the other end that the GOP targets. Insurance and pharmaceuticals ripping US off. They tend to get more powerful under Republicans. When Democrats try to put rules to protect consumers, they are met with hate and threats. But whenever the objectors can, they get. Even to the point of swindling the government. Corporations and businesses don’t have hearts or souls. But you would hope, those running them have some to show. Big companies have been protected against litigation. Less in place to address consumers’ aggravation. Power and profits. Not just from the big wigs. But also from the bottom of the totem pole “capitalists”. They all seemingly have the same wish lists.
If you believe as Rick Scott says that collecting the poor’s pennies and cents will make a dent in the budget of the government. Then eliminating the poverty cause can result in you keeping yours. There will be less need so you won’t feel compelled to donate. That money can stay on your plate. And the impact of that increased wealth, should be felt. Wait, you don’t want to chance that Scott’s formula may not ring true when it’s applied to you? Sadly that’s how many now think. We’re expanding the population of narcissists and selfish. It’s often a choice – what we “must” get, the goals that “should” be met. What and when to accept, that which “makes” US upset. People now pick and choose their truth and lies. What they don’t like can be disguised, canceled or banned. To what they shut their eyes and ears, remove from their heads, just disappears. And to what they hold, seems to multiply ten-fold. So if you trust Scott enough to give him your vote. You “should” believe that keeping those pennies and cents will be of great worth.
It’s in the bricks
Colonialism and slavery, at some point, encompassed the belief that the other races are inferior. And it’s to that blood that Americans are tapping into for America’s transfusion. Denial that racists blood still runs, gives life and longevity to racism. From how America’s systems were built. To the citizens they keep targeting. Wanting them to get less and fail. Have their Rights taken away. To who and how some were and are able to accumulate wealth. Gain benefits and enjoy privileges. To those who are emboldened to shoot based on their biases and perceptions. Allowed to go above the law, avoid accountability and punishment. Even to gain high ranking and powerful positions despite wrong doing. Who can use violent rhetoric, boast about killing and have so many excuse and defend it. Those who can participate in political, social, legal and economic overreach. Deny representations to POC. Others are able to join, singing the Master’s song. Agreeing to the removal of those they perceive to be sub-human. Citing that a few have been able to rise. That should suffice to say that in America there is no more racism or racial discrimination. So no need for advancement to a more perfect Union.
How can racism not be with US still? It’s in the bricks that built America. It’s unrealistic to expect for her to be racist free. Given how she rose and got her needs met. That’s what many are trying to erase and have US forget. Some believe that their white-washing will bring her up to speed. It’s sad that they have been able to hook others to that feed. But America’s stains didn’t come because of Black and Brown. They’re from blood that was shed, so Whites could call America their own, make their living and get ahead. The same that some are promoting today. Wanting a replay. The seeds didn’t fall far from the tree. So instead of integrating Black History, there is a movement to eliminate the month. In places of education there is to be no discussion or account. The provider will be met with fines, suits and other forms of punishment. Black colleges and churches have been receiving bomb threats. People forget, those exist because Whites wanted separate. Now in 2022 they want those to be taken away too. That’s the work of Evangelists, Supremacists, Right-wing and Conservatives. Others too, who deny they are racists, but they vote to the racists deeds and views. Progress made, more taken away, Americans betrayed. Until Americans admit, accept and atone that ugly truth. The betrayal of these Americans will continue.
As we render ourselves powerless
Americans are using their freedom to remove choices and silence voices. Move the Country to anti-democracy. Give corrupt politicians the lead. Breed terrorists at home and allow them to intimidate to a one Party hold. Accept illegal, amoral, unethical and unconstitutional from certain candidates. Don’t hesitate to find fault from the opposition and highlight their missteps. And when there is none, create. Shift the blame of any obstruction and devastation to Democrats. Muddle conspiracies into fact. By doing all of that we are also narrowing our sight and where we think to look. Making it worse by shutting our eyes to certain sources of knowledge and books. With less to see, there would seem to be limited choices and opportunities. Encasing ourselves as people tend to do to their enemies. We don’t have to be jailed or physically restrained to lose our freedom. It’s a clever reframe to have people believe they are choosing the ban. Even though that in itself is anti-democratic and anti-American. Not wanting to read is a choice. Silencing other people’s voices by banning books and taking away Rights to vote is uncivil and amoral. What they don’t care to read, others must follow to their likes and beliefs. Instead of leaving choice, then using their voice to decide for their kids, they are attempting to control the masses. Instead of leaving the books on the shelves and advocating for their kids and themselves, they control the route. Eliminating the Right of others to choose. So as people attempt to trim what they see as fat. They want to have only this and eliminate that. But when we listen to those who are into themselves and don’t mean well. We allow them to tempt US into directions we should not go. And before we know, it’s our control that’s lost. At a huge cost. We’re giving up the forest to get a tree. Because some reject diversity and variety. As the GOP distracts, in trying to deny entry, we’re blocking our exits too. Denying ourselves alternate routes. By forcing US to what they choose. At times they’re eliminating choices available to their people too. Today, many may not care. But one day when that choice is needed it won’t be anywhere. The same chains now being used to bind some. Can be used to keep US all bound. Then the only way out would be to rebel. But we may not have the power to do so then. With freedom, power is voting in numbers, as part of a group. Without, you’re often dependent on you, maybe a few. Especially when it comes to autocrats. Why would people freely choose that?
Many believe themselves to be clean because they didn’t buy the gun or pull the trigger. But there are instances when accomplices are just as guilty as the instigators. You don’t need to be the mastermind behind the crime to be deserving of serving time. If you helped or held to their steps. Voted so their goals would be met. Then their wrong doing was of your choosing. And if you pretend, are into covering up, even if it’s just to save yourself –That’s all on you. Your deliberate choice to execute. One you masterminded and saw through. But often we are quick to absolve ourselves of sin. Even as we keep judging. We don’t know when to abort and prevent more dangerous. We give life to situations that bring more devastation and pain to US. While we let other sins get a pass. Or is it that selected sinners are marked for automatic forgiveness and mercy. As we choose who is and isn’t worthy. And as people give less credence to facts and more to perception. They are prone to be led by deception. As truth takes a back seat we won’t be dealing with reality. We will be neglecting our present and future needs. Our protection likely won’t be effective, if our basis for cover is defective. But by the time we open our eyes, the effects of the spell would be too strong. We and our life as we know it would be long gone. There is intent to the GOP’s moves. Accomplices to their wrong doings would be guilty too.
“Very fine people on both sides” was how Trump assessed. When he compared White Nationalists and Neo-fascists to those who protested against. Could that case really been made that day in Charlottesville? And continuing still, people stick with the GOP’s lead. Despite the fact that more evil than good is being revealed. Americans have been in agreement with Republican leaders – That culture war is necessary and sufficient when it comes to making decisions. It can be the driving force to introduce policies and legislature. Now their politicians can give and receive favors. Cater to sections in the population. Character and heart are pointless. Service, knowledge and experience are irrelevant. Despite obvious contrasts to the sides. They have been equalized. Why do we have to learn of wrong and right? Have religious and conscience guides? From what we’ve learned there must be a scam. How can evil and good work hand in hand? If both sides are to Jesus’ mold, and all that is being done on the right in his name are to his way and truth – At some point we’ve been fooled. Somewhere there has been or is a sham. Is that what was meant when Jesus said – I am? If there is good on both sides, is God cheering on both sides too? That means there is nothing to lose. If God’s mercy is no different from ours then we’re on par with our maker. If evil can be used to bring wins why is there any worry about sins? If that’s the kind of logic to which we subscribe, then Divine is no different from mankind. Is that why so many Conservatives and others on the right act as judge, jury and God? Making so many attempts to Lord over US? As we allow them to justify and legitimize every scheme. We’re also equalizing divine and devilish themes.
You’re of the same stripes if you’re hanging right
Conservatives keep people’s eyes on the cultural right versus left. As such many forget that it was with right versus wrong that we voted and made decisions. We tended to reject the power and Party votes. We weren’t easily persuaded by buzz words and cute quotes. But those on the right have been accepting inappropriate behaviors as parents would of their tantruming children. Some turn a blind eye, others act surprised. They even despise those who dare (care) to warn. Then they make a do-nothing decision. As the pattern usually goes – the behaviors escalate, even at home. To the point of a knife to their throats. So they make a cry for help. But even then, they are not willing to accept responsibility or to change at their end. And though the dysfunctional growth was years in the making, many are expecting mend and repairs to be immediate. How quickly they lose trust, hope and faith. When they feel discomfort, distress and perceive slow progress, they abandon. Even the most comprehensive and potentially effective of plans. They turn to quick sells and listen to those who swear they can make it all well. People still claim all of that is not them. They don’t agree with such behaviors and incidents. But they stand with and vote for those who do. And that makes them part of the disingenuous Conservative group. Enabling has the same effect as an endorsement. It’s reinforcing their enforcements. And it has been allowing for more radical and extreme. No end in sight and the GOP will not cease.
Some on the left have made a drastic shift and their judgment comes harsh, stiff and swift. To the point where some members to the left and independents want to side with Conservatives. But those on the right have shown no limits to depth, strength, length or height when it comes to anti-democracy, anarchy and amorality. They continue to embrace lies, conspiracies and alternate realities. They are high on artificial and low on common sense and intelligence, use of knowledge and evidence. And though a political Party, the GOP keeps hooks to the social and cultural scenes. Tapping into emotions and influencing beliefs. Light on governing and developing policies. Engaging in psychological warfare. Not showing care about service and Country. It’s to them and their Party’s liberty. The differences of our cultures and social beliefs are not as crucial to our being as Conservatives would have US believe. It’s their attacks on democracy, refusal to fight injustice and inequality. So they keep US distracted by the fires they set. They are compromising our establishments of power and wealth. And if we keep assists to their goals. Continue to be lured to their rabbit holes. Stray our eyes to their bouncing balls. We will be holding to their distractions. And will be sliding to the right which for sure, has stood a hell of a lot more for wrong.
Two parents died. They tried to survive, while dismissing the science behind the guidelines of Covid. Difficult to think. Let it sink in – Five kids, parentless. Right-wing conspiracy theorists, heartless. Never shut down, given encouragement. Showing no respect to the living nor the dead. The parents weren’t even buried yet. People fueling lies on the internet. Denying this incident. As family and friends mourn they have to deal with such nonsense. It’s too late for these parents to learn from this experience. But the danger to people remain. As the right continue their charade for political and power gains. Greg Abbott, Texas’ Governor – earlier on, fully vaccinated having public events, mask-less. Resources at his fingertips. But not promoting the CDC’s scripts. Tested every day, eventually positive for Covid-19. No symptoms, but started Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody treatment immediately. No thought about the cost. It’s not direct to his monetary loss. In positions of power – quick access and easily covered – being reckless and spreading disinformation. Not of the same situation as that couple. We act as if all are on the same playing field despite differences in access, support and struggles. A discrepancy between the man on the street and those who lead. Ignored, and of deadly consequence to those who are seen as worth less. How many have died because of the spread of lies? Not innocence or ignorance but deliberate deception. Making sure they are protected while securing their survival through the next cycle of election. And many of US keep giving our approval. As there are no steps to ensure these leaders’ removal.
Even as one our impact shines on
We make assumptions and judgments as humans we do. Growth of biases and stereotypes are part of being human too. But how we permit their mix, guides the way that we tick. And determines our human-ness. If we continue to allow cruel to our repertoire it diminishes parts of who we are. The image and likeness people are choosing to be molded to. Will be difficult to undo. It becomes an undesirable variant. No longer toward the benevolent experience. And as individuals we often think of our impact as small. Questioning if there is any at all. When in truth we are always part of a group. Which then has the effect of a collective move. We can’t be responsible for what others do. But we must recognize how we contribute to what comes. And that there is never really a no-count. Because even if we choose not to do, that’s a choice too. Likely adding to the status quo. By not stopping something you’re giving it steam to go. And it could be a blessing sent or a dangerous bend.
Why was there a need for a vaccine if Covid-19 wasn’t real? Why didn’t they object to the Trump Administration’s development of vaccines since the virus didn’t exist? Covid deniers should have been pissed that he would engage in such wastage. If to no advantage, it should have been deemed as money mismanaged. Then there is the reality of living through the pandemic with so much death and grief. Despite having a life-line with the vaccines, many stayed with wait and see. Some procrastinate to the point of too late. Ignoring all the data and science behind the vaccines. But welcoming the ineffective, expensive and unsubstantiated remedies. And it’s been in the name of God and religion that people stand firm in their decision against vaccination. Exposing their communities to viral spread and death. They haven’t found the way to that truth yet. And back in March when the Democrats tried to pass the coronavirus relief bill. The Republicans objected. Ron Johnson had 628 pages read. Near 11 hours of time wasted. Wouldn’t you have preferred a better way to serve or use of taxpayers’ money? Wasn’t the bill a reasonable assist to help Americans and boost the economy? Or are people so partisan and against that they will tolerate, even sanction government incompetency and wastage? Obstructers and counter-punchers are still voted in. Childish, petty, evil, harmful and unproductive stunts are prevailing. Even some who voted for Trump’s impeach. Participate in the stupidity. Lawmakers voting against what they agreed to before. A constant waste of time and taxpayers’ money on the Senate floor – Is what many Americans keep voting for.
Stop Ignoring the Outcome
It’s a myth to think that Pro-Choice means you support the kill. Pro-choice gives credence to free-will. Another big Christian teach. But that doesn’t seem to enclose Pro-Life’s political reach. Religion shouldn’t give the go to be judge, jury or God. It’s with such power that many move forward. Justifying their pick and keeping their followers following. Continuously using abortion as a carrot stick. Spreading it on thick. No matter the outcomes, consequences and deaths. This has been their aim to get. Even good and well-meaning are justified rejects. Biden is trying to do good and right. He’s not in just for the fight. He’s not for deliberate harm to give himself a pass. He’s for a humanitarian stance and to a moral path. While some religious show less humanness as they follow the politics. Despite the widespread suffering, it’s for their outcome and ideology that they stick. A dangerous route for the shepherd to take the sheep. More treacherous and steep, On the side that would deny them sustenance and hydration as they wait in line. During their journey, many are not able to hold up on their own, needing a gurney. Which that side refuses to provide. Killing spirits and breaking down their will. Yet the reversal of Roe v Wade remains on the Pro-lifers’ mind still. Pro-choice doesn’t aim to take away other Rights or free-will. Under the messaging that all babies should live. Pro-life may say that is not the intention. But that’s what they’ve been allowing to happen. They appear to accept deaths as casualties or inadvertent. In the scope of getting what they want. To many of US that seems like a front. Short on religious, tall on political. Low on charity, high on disparity. They’ve been ignoring all else that the GOP brings. While making the statement that abortion is the only sin worth tackling.
There are right wing anchors who died. Because they believed the lies. They truly appeared to believe and didn’t take Covid-19 seriously. Rejecting the guidelines and the vaccine. It’s a different scene with Fox News TV. Which has one of the most stringent protocols behind closed doors. They even mask up while indoors. Report that 90% of their workers got the jab. The unvaccinated get daily swabs to test. More than weekly that the CDC recommends. So different from what they spew. And what their viewers view. While the anchors stay protected and safe, viewers have their health and sometimes their lives taken away. If that isn’t a deliberate sin, don’t know what is. So many, including religious, stay silent or play in.
Pence seems to have forgiven the insurrectionists for threatening to hang him with a noose. But what’s his excuse for embracing them and minimizing their violence? He’s endorsing what they said and did. Giving them another chance, renewing their license to hurt and kill. Hoping for a Trump-Pence bromance? Does he really think Trump will give him another chance? Many want Trump in still. They are signing him and his minions through. Those who continue to watch Fox and other right-wing news. Corporations and advertisers too. So many at different levels are in for this. Wonder how many we know are on that list?
We are taught that we all have a duty to warn. But sometimes it’s the higher-ups or gate-keepers who are the problem. Allowing the abuse or the wrong-doing to go on. If that is not corrupt, don’t know what is. Seems they all think they have a license to hurt and kill.
Those who feel they are in a desperate fight for their personal freedom. Have been supporting leaders who have no care for certain groups or individuals. Should the supporters ever want to get off the GOP’s boat. There will be no guarantee that they could stay afloat. You would think exclusive is never the way for government to go. But the people vote to make it so. The GOP has been leading US up a creek as they seek to limit the distribution of the paddles. Offer horse rides as they carve for the power to decide who gets the saddles. Collect and use tax-payers’ money to fund their propaganda. Create disasters to bring down the opposition. Showing no care, only indifference to the harm done throughout the Nation. That has been their leadership in plain sight. Yet people are enthused and display delight. While the GOP keep their showing of corrupt, negligence and greed. Many still choose to invest in their seeds. They douse true solutions with fear. Keep their base and the extremists near. Do whatever it takes to appear fair and in the clear. They masterfully manipulate and hold. Containing the herd. With no checks or accountability, they are creating a new mold. Brace yourself because what we will be able to retrieve. Will not bring relief. And may be contained by the same limits these people gave. They are making US into the image and likeness of one. The leader of their cult known as Trump. And as more of US keep close to his rump we are exposing who we are – Narcissistic, self-serving, hypocrites pretending to be the North Star.
Covid sang to the “blues” when it first began. As officials learned, Covid took a down turn. Though that wasn’t the case for those who support or are led by red. Their numbers increased instead. Not just infections but deaths. Trump didn’t win the second presidency. But the GOP has taken the lead to his people-trimming, dead body building legacy. Those who support them, in the same breath claim that they can’t breathe. And they refuse to vax and mask for US to be a Covid-free Country. Covid may be the medical reason for so many American deaths. But the killer has been the GOP and those on the right spreading conspiracies and myths. As Republicans continue to line people up for risks to health and death. How is that any different from Hitler’s quest? He was into cleansing of sorts. Similar to the right’s proposal. Do away with the left and secular. Promote only of their own as normal, godly and regular. It’s not from a soft go that they try to change beliefs, thoughts and minds. It’s with the use of force that they aim to build their kind. But it’s not the beliefs and thoughts they don’t like, that leave. It’s the people they beat down, the souls that suffer defeat. That’s the part that they don’t consider when they go for the jugular. They don’t think that there are persons attached to the necks that they sever. Even though they’ve been showing themselves as the Party of death. That doesn’t upset or bring pause for introspect.
The truth seems to be that many Americans willingly play the voter suppression notes. Stopping that and saving democracy is not worth their time, energy or votes. They are willing to let the GOP get by. With the hopes that they will reel in bigger fish to suit their life style. Not acknowledging that any fish that they get. Has been straight from the GOP’s nets. By the time people get close, the GOP has an easy throw. And as people get trapped, there is no letting go. Those catches are for keeps. Seasoning to normalcy. Cooking their way to a new society. That’s the quest of those who appear to live for the death of the left. And although the GOP has shown themselves to be rotted to the core. People don’t reject the bad food. Many keep biting through, wanting more. Their choices and tastes are more extreme. They trade facts to get conspiracies. Dump reality for manufactured beliefs. They don’t go for what is known, already shown. No need to do or show proof of genuine. As they barter there is no demand for honest. So much to their side haven’t met the quality line. And people still pay for the crap they are sold. Based solely on what they are told. People willingly pay additional fees. When they have the power to obtain better deals. But they continue buying in. So it must all be satisfying. The other truth is that not all are being duped. What they see is what they get. And that hasn’t slowed them down yet. For some, the GOP’s steals are the deals. Though in reality the GOP often has the house edge. They catch we fetch. But as long as people keep giving their approval seal. We won’t be able to stop their steal.
Not caring to see beyond the baby
Many are appalled that babies are not allowed to be born. But they don’t hesitate to kill their or their families’ spirits. By not caring that families of some of those babies are trapped in poverty. That a 4-year old Black girl sees herself as ugly. That many children and members of their community are denied equal opportunity. Some who were on the way up had their belongings and property stolen. Pushed back, left behind then scorned for staying frozen. That they are subjected to unfair systems. Just as their parents and generations before them were. Then when they fail to thrive they are told they must grow up with less. And that their best will never be good enough. Don’t complain, toughen up. People profess to care about the babies and children. But when it comes to the vote, they send messages of good-riddance. If they don’t care about so many of the adults who can bear. Why would they think it’s good for their offspring to be here?
Many Americans are going by perceive. Not guided by data or what is real. Giving themselves a false sense of comfort. As they seek to deny or re-define the problem. And though the problem isn’t being solved they “feel” that they are more in the know. And that they are in control. When in truth, the situation is the same or sometimes worsening. The power of the mind at work. Weakening US, making US less powerful. But they continue to believe what they want to believe and it makes it so. So that’s the path they continue to go.
Change has not been to improve but to wreak havoc and harm their fellowmen. That has been the Republican trend. Easily convincing. People are naïve to believe that true Conservative, Christian views and values will continue to determine the rules. With the likes of McCarthy and McConnell gaining the power. It’s now in their DNA to devourer. Streamlining to meet their needs. Once they succeed and the power they desire is obtained. They will unchain from any entity that places restraints.
So much about their mis-doings have surfaced and been brought to light. Now in plain sight. But still not seen by many in our society. Their doings will bring more inequality to our systems. But people stay blind to them. So many warnings that their “great again” will not sustain. That their attempts to remake is doing for their sake. Only to their cues and their views. All else is for refute and refuse. Choosing the dark than to be in the know. Knocking down information at every turn. That lack of sight and insight, is them choosing to stay blind. And as long as they “feel” there are returns, they have no reason to discern.
There seems to be no bottom or effective wake-up calls. As the right keep enough people enthralled. Republicans laid the foundation for over throw years ago. With the cruelty and resilience of the strong-man. The patience and insanity of the Taliban. They’ve been able to reap power and invest what they get for more power keeps. That’s why their rise has been so quick and steep. The gains that are here are from investments of yester-years. Swift and fast moving. The left has been unprepared and some are still cruising. Failing to see the urgency. Living in their own alternate reality. Continually stabbed in the back by the GOP. There must be times when turning the other cheek. Is not the expected or desired behavior from the sheep. Staying with values such as empathy and humility. Does not require tolerance of cruelty and stupidity. Our faith also demands bravery. To protect the vulnerable and poor. Those who we say are behind what we stand for. Yet it seems the rich and privileged often get the interest and unlimited support. While those lower down are despised, degraded and ignored. Even in the name of bipartisan and peace. Will the favoritism for the rich and right ever seize? What sense does it make for Democrats to allow cruelty, hate and continued distaste to stay? Afraid that the way they pave to help, may be used by the GOP for more gets. In normal times, it won’t be the preferred way to go. But the GOP already show that they are set to do whatever they want to. What is allowed, if they are not stopped now, will enshroud US for a long time to come. Burying the likes of democracy, voting rights and freedom. Democrats have to choose. Honor the filibuster, a man-made rule. And let fear of what isn’t yet here, dictate. Or make a decision to ensure for the Country’s gain.
Republicans are being allowed to tighten the rein. As long as some can keep, carry their guns and shout to their way. They have no desire to place restraints. It’s their Right to do as they please over other’s to stay safe and live in peace. That’s the power granted to the right and the GOP. It’s not just to the positions of power they are allowed to reach. It’s that they control what many see and are led to believe. It’s that they are not held accountable. They are never seen to be responsible. Enough don’t care what they say or do. The decision has been to vote them through. Continually getting a free pass. Because all that matters is for their domination to last.
Lying is a staple part of America’s political diet. Commonplace with those denying the science behind the climate crisis and the virus. An everyday occurrence for those in power and with authority. Mostly one-sided in terms of politics and Party.
It’s clear that the liars benefit from heeding the facts. As they steer the sheep away from that. Causing strife to America(ns) and throughout the World. Their words already known to be fool’s gold. But many are still clinging, not letting go. Instead of working to solve the many problems we already have. People are being blocked from truth. How do we advance when so many contribute to misguide and dupe? That’s one level of shrewd. Then there are enablers who are downright cruel. On which level are you shelved? Are you lying to others, are you lying to yourself?
If you ever find yourself caught in a lie, do a sweep through. It’s likely there are more lies you’ve given to others and to yourself too. If you ever realize the truth, you have an obligation when you can to stop, or undo the harm that may have or can come. Lend a hand to right the wrong. Staying silent should not be an option especially if the wrong-doing continues. And you shouldn’t be keeping lies in the loop.
For liars to lie to you, they have to know the truth. And deliberately withhold it too. There are those who are misinformed as they are wrong with facts. Not even talking about that. Although they are just as culpable, when spreading the falsehood. But those whose behaviors are aligned with the facts known. And what they know isn’t spread with their words. They are deliberate in their sin and in their attempts to ruin. Unfortunate for US, there are many of those as higher-ups. And Americans refuse to bring them down, not even a notch. Silence is a choice for what comes if nothing is done. Some may not have a direct hand on the steering wheel. But there will be an imprint of their stance on the decision tree.
Cuban Americans are supporting freedom of speech. Freedom to protest in the streets. Freedom to choose who leads. All of that they demand for their Cuban comrades. Yet it’s so hard for some to stand beside that for fellow Americans. Who also protest for their Rights and against injustices to them. When doing so, they are branded as traitors and deemed to be violent. Heavily armed law enforcement are sent when they peacefully protest. When the Press tries to reveal truth, they get marked too. Any opposition is an enemy of the State. That’s the state Trump and the GOP have placed America in. Many Cuban Americans and other exiles have been siding with this squelch and kill. Removal of the will of the people to certain positions and factions of the government. Attacking those who oppose Trump and Republicans. The most authoritarian of regimes America has ever seen. Accepted on this property but protested across the sea.
Those who paved for other than White Anglo Saxons to have Rights and equal say. They and their descendants are often betrayed. Blatant to their face. As some Cuban Americans fight for their own. They simultaneously throw sticks and stones to deprive other Americans ways to grow. Charity rendered to those outside, not given to those here at home. And they’ve been counting on a man and Republicans who speak more like Castro than Reagan. It’s the Castro types that they publicly define as deplorable. But it’s Biden, as he fights for decency and democracy that they find to be most despicable.
The Cuban Government doesn’t admit to their contributions, their failures, their management, their behaviors. That’s what happens when you’re into isolating. When you reduce the government’s role to control and stop governing. Corrupt and improper use of funds. Caring only for the higher ups. In America, this pattern is being allowed to brew. Discrimination placed to first groups but will spread too. Exiles want to hold the Cuban Government accountable. For bringing harm to the Cuban people. Look at what has been happening in our backyard. With Trump and the Republicans. How many of these same people have been cheering them on? It’s amazing how short-sighted people have been. Even those who were already exposed to authoritarian regimes. When you limit your choices for those who lead – You deny yourself options when it’s change of that lead that you seek. Americans have been demolishing their escape routes. While Cubans already trapped, are searching for a way through. It’s not in opposition to their fight for freedom and Rights. A worthy cause that should be done. It’s the denial of these same Rights to people on American soil. By some of the same who are leading these fights abroad.
Republicans seem less able to vote against their Party’s grain. They appear more prone to stay in the Party’s lane. It may be because their trust is limited to what they know and see in themselves. They are unable to relate to anyone else. What they would or wouldn’t do – They expect to be the same for others too. Even in the face of evidence and despite experiences that show those opposing are not cheaters. That those leaders’ plays have been within the norms and rules. It’s difficult for the GOP to fathom as true. So they go with what they know. At least that will be more predictable. And then they fool themselves. To do as they feel compelled which they equal as being on the right track. Believing that those they stand with will have their backs. Since they all tend to be transactional. But they are also mesmerized by the power and brass. Even admire the crass. Finding similarities of them in him. So they are hoping, wishing and hooked in. Not wanting to think that they are out-done and out-played. They stay and keep doing the same. Over time their belief becomes unshakeable. Else their world will become undone. Their bond then becomes unbreakable. So that with some ease they can move on.
Conservatives weren’t into regulating businesses. They cared about the deficit. They didn’t believe in a one-party control. They weren’t so into widespread denying people the Right to vote. They weren’t extremists or terrorists. Now many of these are part and parcel of their mix. Weren’t sanctioning political violence. Nor campaigning and ruling by pretense. Their attraction to draw in members wasn’t hate. Their attitude toward the opposition wasn’t pure distaste. From morality and integrity they didn’t totally deviate. Their desire to lead wasn’t for pure power and because of greed. Conspiracy and lies were not their main feed. They didn’t aim to make the forefathers’ Democratic States into a Banana Republic. And there was a time, voters kept politicians in check. There was respect with inspect and expect. But over time, with no consequence or accountability. They have morphed to a different being. Behind closed doors, it’s said that Republicans are appalled with what goes on. To the public, it’s a different show and tell. A pattern Republicans have sewn so well. Now Democrats are trapped. Forced into a one-handed clap. Always for the Democrats to bend. When will the GOP’s dominance end? God forbid that there is any compromise. Coming from their side. Americans keep putting their fate into the hands of a few. While giving those hands more power which position themselves to not lose. Even though it’s now clear what’s sprouting through. Americans allow the ploughing to continue. Germination to a weaker, sicker Nation. Converting their acreage into plantations. Which may show flowers at some point. But no produce to hand out. Continuing with their specialty hooks. When demand for supplies are for everyday cooks. Fertilized with hate for the left. It’s the poison they are wanting to ingest. Watered down with ice from the right. With pride, they engage in spite. Taking in sugary drinks from big corporations. Which often seem refreshing. But is not for replenishing with the salts and electrolytes needed to keep energized. Though many may survive, they compromise on the quality of life.
If I wasn’t a familiar face or you didn’t know my name – Will you judge my brown skin? Will you care to find out what’s within? Will you question my place in your neighborhood? Will I still be able to stand where I’ve stood? If you didn’t know me, would you give me the benefit of the doubt? Or let your anger and frustrations out? If you saw me marching through the streets – For equal justice and against racial inequalities – Will you see me as a Black SOB? Will you take the time to understand why? Or will you deny me the Right to protest? Will you stand on the side that deems me to be less? Would you be fine with a knee to my neck?
America’s portfolio didn’t grow from a blank slate. As some would have US believe today. She has a stain of red on her Indigenous, brown and black. Who even today are under attack. Some don’t realize that the splatter has fallen on them. They want to believe they are exempt. And continue to support the painters who throw red. Even though they are well aware that the red isn’t paint. But the blood from victims. They still stand back and admire as art-work. And continue to promote this extremist show. Even as the venue is suspect. You have to crawl deep through the depths of nowhere to get there. They don’t stop, try to turn around or avoid the stench. They chose to cut off their noses instead.
No you can’t label America, the Country as racist. But you can’t deny that racists and racism exist among her people and systems. Republicans are skilled at changing the narrative so you will ignore the truth about them. If you’re not able to see the assault on America’s democracy. The rise of the cultish Republican Party And the embracing of white supremacy – Then the GOP has met its goal. And despite all of this, a GOP’s hold is the way you go. If you accept that for them to get there, the process need not be fair. Then you’re already a buy-in to the GOP’s anti-democracy, racist doctrine.
If the GOP’s revolution is fully seen – Then some of you will seize to commune with the likes of me. In that society, I will not be embraced, but erased. I will not be a friendly face and you likely will not learn my name. So it may be true – if you didn’t know me, if I wasn’t personal to you. You would treat me as the GOP would. Just another black face, a charity case. One to who you would donate and pretend to save. Just a stepping stone, a black token. You may fight for my birth but not support my equality here on earth. Not a human, born to be equal. But a representation to feign religious and humanitarian.
Republicans no longer use the lens of good to view others and the world. It’s now for wealth, power and control. Their aim to gain power is not for the use of doing good. And that power will be streamlined to those who feel entitled to do as they could. With no accountability, they will continue as they please. And that presents as a clear and present danger to the Country. They will be in control to serve the dish they think we deserve. There certainly won’t be an off-the-menu choice. They will be the decider to give or not give more. Who or what the giving is for. When there is need, it will be left to their discretion. They will determine for possession and progression.
Republicans bragged about the uprightness of their voting process. Even when tested, there were consistent results, so they touted success. Yet they still see it fit to pass hundreds of voter “integrity” bills. Despite no identified problems, other than the loss of Trump. Their decided reaction – do what they can to power up. These are what’s being elevated in our divided States. Particularly those that side with red. A different world through which they are being led. Republicans are no longer for what they can do for you. If you continue to vote them through – it’s for their gain And how they can use the power to have themselves stay.
Government and politics were meant for service to most. Boundary to boundary, coast to coast. The set-up should be for all to be served. Then there will be opportunity for all to grow. There will be more of a chance for needs to be met. And there will be less need to stress or fret. America has the resources and power to do such. But many are choosing to not budge. That widespread stubborn, even among moderate Republicans. Is a catalyst to America’s destruction. If Americans continue to choose against majority gain. And with the aim, that someone else must lose. They continue to excuse what Trump and the GOP are trying to do. We will be back peddling as other countries advance. Never really giving to ourselves, as we fail to give others a chance.
If there is no urgency with America’s ordinary. It’s either they are in sync with what’s happening. Or they are hiding under the cover of pretending – That America is not on a slippery slope. That one more curve can be the turn away from democracy. That Trump and the GOP are headed for autocracy. When you’re for closing doors – Be sure what you keep in, that you are able to live with. And what you shut out, you can sustain yourself without.
Around the Nation there is a mental health crisis. Limited access to treatment so people depend on their own devices. America has been exposed to trauma that’s denied. Separated from others due to Covid and a culture war divide. If assaulted and raped, the victim gets blamed. Possibly forced to keep if there is a baby within. For unwanted sexual advance, you should believe and excuse the man. There must have been something you’ve said or done. It’s your fault, move on. Some being attacked and suppressed. Denied the chance to equally possess and progress. Yet all have easy access to buy, own and carry a gun. More so than experiencing ease through America’s systems. You can arm yourself to the till. But not give your arm to be vaccinated. One with a greater chance for some to die. The other is for more people staying alive. Some are denied their civil rights and free will. Many denying the effects of slavery still. While their spirit is stifled, take comfort, they can don a rifle. But if there is complaint about any injustice. You’re an ingrate – stop being so disruptive. Prolific on propaganda, depleted on news. Imagine a generation growing up, believing they can choose truth. Not relying on the facts out there. Only on what is inside their heads.
People are led to believe they are invincible and can defy gravity. Those for their interests are said to be their enemies. And as their paranoia swells, they barricade themselves. Unfortunately, those they’re letting in are the ones doing the brain-washing. Violence, delusion, division – staples for present day Republicans. They do their wishful thinking for as long and as hard as they want. But it’s not to US that time and circumstances adjust. We are the ones who need to maneuver and change course. Else we will suffer the loss. It’s not that our minds trick US. It’s US setting limitations. We trick our minds to believe. So we can create the reality that we desire to see. All of this is happening, led by and fed into politics. A lot of poisoned red meat, given to the beast. Dishonesty and deception will only intensify the disease. And defending insane will not lead US to heal. Americans are in a precarious position. Improve mental health conditions or risk success to this suicide mission.
The GOP has been on alert. Doing whatever it takes to advance their own. Anti-America, Anti-democracy. Promoting anger, division and hate in our society. An American leader in Russia’s cheering section. Using propaganda started by Putin to sway America’s election. Trump supposedly failed in a presidential repeat because of voter fraud. And supposedly, only his result was flawed. Not questioning the success of Republicans in the down ballots. Why are only their wins valid? So many months have gone with no presented evidence. But many still hold to the con man’s lies and influence. Now against Biden, wanting him to fail. Whatever it takes, they are all out and all in. Even when it’s good that the Biden Administration is trying to do. The GOP aims to tarnish, refute and rebuke. No matter the effect to Americans. Republicans are still for partisan. And their followers, choosing lies and conspiracies. Selecting information and memories, going for extreme. They continue with their false equivalents whenever they’re called out. To that one man they stay devout. But Trump wasn’t a stray. Republicans easily adjusted and adapted to his atrocious ways. He has been instrumental in making the Party what it is today. Trump and the GOP – Delivering the likes of Jim Crow and the Confederacy. Trump has also kept the Putin, Kim Jong-Un, and Duterte types in his sight. Who is to say that Hitler isn’t far behind?
Trump has already made it clear. He has the destination set, and a path to get there. If another chance comes for Trump or a Trump type. This time around they could reach the finish line. If they again are given the stage with free rein. They will take full advantage and resist being contained. He already gave the start which they will be determined to finish. And will be more relentless to assure for their winnings. It will be with more vengeance, violence and force. Likely to not divert from their course. History doesn’t just repeat. It’s as people follow, proceed and concede.
The grievances from the White and Right Have been from their perception that their fellowmen and leaders are losing sight of them. That they are becoming less important, less relevant. They see their power and dominance shrinking. Even to the point of experiencing an existential crisis. They deny any advantage or that there is privilege. But to believe that these don’t exist – You either wear blinders or live under a bridge. Historically, when it comes to anger, Black is what people see. Whether or not it’s there or for real. Yet at every stage of personal and political, White rage has been displayed. Continually dismissed and explained. Without advantage or privilege, the GOP would not have been able to grab so much power. Muddy the waters, bewilder their supporters. Create distraction and noise. Use force for their choice. Seemingly now if you are White or identify with White and you have a grievance You’ve been given the green light to take it out On who or what you want. Mostly White stormed the Capitol feeling they were deprived of Trump. One insurgent yelling blame to others For what he was doing and what he had become. Just like the White man Robert Long who said he had a sexual addiction. So that gave him the Right to wipe out his temptation with a gun. Was his white skin so powerful that it detracted from his heinous crime? That Sheriff Baker described “…yesterday was a really bad day for him, and this is what he did.” As if having a bad day gives you the Right to kill. But then, for that color of skin, it seems to be happening. Openly reaping the benefits while denying they exist. Holding and using anger for personal and political gain. Truly has been sickening to watch. And it’s been on full display, so long, so much. Would we be excusing so many attacks if the perpetrators were Black? Kaepernick was ostracized for taking a peaceful kneel. The GOP and Trump, still flying high after a violent, deadly stop the steal. George Floyd got a cop’s knee to his neck and death for possibly using a counterfeit bill. Robert Long got understanding from law enforcement after an 8-person kill. With all of these – what do you see? Which ones were mostly White and tend to be given privilege? Which ones suffer loss or weren’t allowed to live? Who often receives the benefit of the doubt? Who often is drowned out, locked out and left without?
It’s been about 30 years since the Nation witnessed the beating of Rodney King. One of the first public recordings of police brutality. Not much has changed, on the contrary, It’s been more deadly, escalating to kill. African Americans and minorities to bear the brunt of it. The reaction of some has been to excuse and absolve law enforcement of their deeds. While viewing the victims as bad seeds. A mind-set that the police didn’t have a choice. And focus on what the victim did, didn’t do, could have, should have done. That has been the recurring clip by those who claim they are for police and their leadership. There’s been a failure and lack of will for implementing interventions that are more humane. As if it’s believed that the status quo should be maintained. So many deaths to people of color while in the hands of police. It’s like a disease. For which some don’t care for a cure. The police hasn’t seen fit even to take a pause. They continue to say and behave as if there is nothing wrong. If those in the lead and the police don’t change their mind-set That non-whites are worth less. That they are second class citizens. Then the disease will spread. There is no accountability, culpability or guilt for the deaths. Even when they claim it’s an accident – No statements or movements toward compassionate. It’s often more doubling down against. Different shades of skin. Different forms of understanding and justice following. If many still refuse to admit to differences in perception, coverage and response when it comes to policing White, Black and Brown. How can we move beyond? If in our society there are inequalities in the justice system. Why do we expect different when it comes to policing? Reform will not come with only changes in procedure and policy. When the thinking that fuels the actions are embedded and accepted in our society. Reform will come when the majority perceive and believe That all are created equal and all have a Right to equality For accessibility and justice. In matters of life, liberty and happiness. When most of US truly demand and expect this type of equal. That will be a cessation of the deadly policing sequel.
Some have the thought that you can’t please everyone. So they decide to not do for anyone. When you think it will just be a hit or miss Or that you may even be dismissed. Why even bother, why even try? So you turn to me, myself and I. But that thinking leads to humanity being watered down. When the small deeds and niceties are no longer important. Couple that with – you must get what you want. We’re losing the battle for humanitarian.
Sometimes it’s just to do for true. Not with the expectation for a reward to come back to you. There – out of care, not just for, or to get. Naturally giving a hand to those who need help. Seems those are no longer goals, embedded in people’s souls. It’s not to let others walk all over you. But you need not be for walking over others too. Life has become a rat race because we make it so. We help to create the dog-eat-dog world. Then we stand back and blame whoever and whatever we could.
It’s easier to go with – I don’t care. Than to decide to care and do the work to get there. Some actually don’t care to know or learn about. And would just rather do without. Consume, use, toss. As long as it’s not to their loss. Once they are doing well, forget the rest of us. Who are easily looked down upon with disgust. That seems to be the mentality. Spreading through our society.
But with humans dismissing humane, humanity won’t stand a chance. Be aware of what you endorse and allow to advance. If we don’t engage in humane, it will be gone. And what makes us human will dwindle down. For humanity to thrive, humane must stay alive. We will only be as human as we allow humane to shine.
Trump bragged that he owns the Republican Party. And they treat him like he is their trophy. Bowing to him – He is their specimen of leadership. Even having a golden idol for worshipping. Yes, the members honor Trump. It’s him they revere and to him they look up. What is the political view when members chant “We love you”?
Trump openly solicits for all funding to go to him. He who holds the purse has control of the strings. The power to tighten and loosen it. The man who lacks integrity. And does not reciprocate loyalty. Corrupt and scandal can be his middle names. He is skilled at the re-branding game. He can sell bleach to the people following him. As a cure for a virus he tells them doesn’t exist.
Members, still labeling themselves Conservatives and Republicans. They have been the aggressors. Void of solutions and preventative measures. They are now for anti-democratic and in support of violent attacks. Against liberals, enemies, anyone who refuse to follow in their tracks. They’ve been engaging in this revolution for some time. Their voters turning a blind eye. Allowing them to strengthen as they get more brass and bold. Now insurgents and domestic terrorists are alive and well in their fold. And from what they say, They aim to stay in the space of misinformation and hate.
Trump didn’t lie that time when he said he started a movement. He wasn’t shy to use the power of his presidency for recruitment. No longer a political party that is rooted in reality. More like a cult of some sort – The Republican Party sell out.
Republicans once defended big corporations’ involvement in politics. They supported for them to give as they wish. But now when it comes to them having a voice. McConnell says there should not be a choice. Give – that they must, but ignore the potential cost to the companies. Working against what they choose for their customers and employees. Never mind if there is a taint to their brand name. As long as it is not the Republicans that they stand against. It may not be ethics or conscience behind the company’s decision. But in a democracy, businesses shouldn’t be driven by the government. Ordinarily, Republicans despise government involvement. But now, it’s only when it suits them. The government’s role is to protect the consumer. Not dictate as one of their investors. Republicans have become the case of a government that intervenes and dictates. Even when they actually place more people in harm’s way. Denying companies their goal – Reducing their say and control.
With Republicans, it hasn’t just been with corporate. It’s across the board that they operate this way. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina wasn’t shy to say -: “If you’re a young, African American or an immigrant, you can go anywhere in this state, you just need to be conservative, not liberal.” Yes, he said that part out loud. When you look and see different, to them you’re insignificant. That’s the Republican idea of making America great. One party, one culture, one faith. One way to think – their politics, their ideology. Stick with them and you can be “free.”
We keep seeing their trajectory. Republicans claim you’re free, once it’s with them that you agree. Unfortunately voters on the Republican side Don’t see a downside and they follow in stride. As Republicans continue to be reinforced. They will be emboldened to stay with this course.
Descendants of the massacre and slavery are trying to free themselves from whatever holds them back. While White Supremacists and others are shackling themselves to an ideology, Party and Man that must stick as a pack. They follow, bind and stay in unison. How is that for freedom? Their gripes are often against natural change and consequence. Making themselves slaves to their own and other people’s mind-sets. Thoughts of how it should or used to be. Not considering that change can bring opportunity. Not accepting life and time as they evolve. Or wanting to expend energy to solve. Tied to the words of a man who doesn’t care about them. He’s said it and showed it time and time again. Yet they still choose him. And without his leadership, they think life looks grim. So it’s him they seek to please. The Republican Party under siege. So hitched to the past, they fail to see what they have. Not seeing the positive that may come. Or the good that has already been done. It’s not just that they’ve lost their way. And they are certainly not playing devil’s advocate. They are actually siding with the Ones Who are mean, and mean harm to others. Over the years Republicans have been showing who they are. If you’ve continued to step with them and you haven’t strayed far. Then you must admit that there is enough that you like. Which keeps you with them and in their fight.
Many are led to believe that truth is hoax. And they don’t realize how they are being coaxed. On the other side, they readily believe the lies. Even when there is an abundance of inconsistencies And evidence to the contrary. But when you wear blinders that make you vulnerable to deception. Others can easily influence your perception. When you are led to believe you are being taken advantage of. And your guard has already been up. You tend to become more defensive. Often leading you to a more narrow perspective.
If you fill a gas tank that has holes. It’s not likely that you will get far when you hit the road. If you keep trying to put out the fire but keep the arsonist around. Eventually whatever it is you’re trying to save Will end up burning to the ground. If you try to better yourself but you let an abuser tear you down. You will never feel as strong as you could or was meant to be. They reap benefits while you pay the penalties.
At times in our lives we feel we’re at a stand-still. And we can’t figure out why we’re not moving. Maybe it’s our own say and do That brings limitations to what we (think we can) choose. And we experience limited gains Because of the box we place ourselves in. Sometimes it’s because we hold ourselves back. Or we’ve given others the power to do that.
It’s not that Americans, mostly on the Right disagree. It’s that they are deciding not to believe. Even in the face of facts. Working against truth has become part of their act. Denying that Covid exists, even when dying from it. People no longer heed the warnings. Even with evidence for the causes. Choosing to do as their leaders do. Divorcing themselves from truth. It’s easy to dismiss information. But it’s only in our mind that we change our situation. When the consequences come, there will be no mercy for some. By then there will be no choice but to take the blows. Do we ever stop to think that our downturn Is there because of how we chose? And we wouldn’t have had such a big loss had we made a better choice. That we are the ones limiting ourselves so much. We won’t progress until we make substantial and sincere changes. And there still will be a cost to US if our choice is to keep circling. Not caring that we’re sabotaging our own gains. As a Nation we’re no longer productive or sane. Acting like a dog trying to catch its tail. Americans demand their freedom to choose. Unfortunately for many, that includes what is truth. But choosing to live on lies can never be wise. Denying truth doesn’t make it go away. It will keep its path, and from that we can’t escape. Yes, you can demand your freedom to choose. But you can’t escape the responsibility that comes with it too. Yes, you are free to choose, even what is true. But you can’t hide from the consequences that the lies bestow on you.
Republicans in general haven’t been for all. They target sections of America’s population. Either as supporters or enemies. True for leaders and voters. Leadership does not thrive in a vacuum. Leaders ably choose what their choosers allow them to. At least that’s how it’s been in a democracy. It’s not clear that democracy will be an American keep. Even with the all-out assault that Republicans have been leveraging, The silence from so many Americans has been deafening. When George Floyd was killed, More Americans said – I’m not for this. Yet it’s what they promote when they vote. Many claim they are for helping the poor. Then they vote against the poor getting more. Some promote the wrongdoings by reinforcing The wrongdoers with their votes. Others forward their propaganda and falsehoods. Or give them more life with their likes. Dismiss and demote the opposition with their swipes. Tapering to the QAnon and White Supremacists types. Until they become so enveloped. Changing their minds – there is little hope. Just with computers and phones, Ordinary folks become contributors. And by word of mouth, there are ample distributors. What kind of messenger are you? For lies or truth? It doesn’t matter which side you’re on – Do you allow truth to prevail, or shut it down? With your hands and your tongue – Do you promote right or wrong? We all have a hand in it. What is it that you permit?
Trump from the start didn’t go with the truth. He knew that Covid was more contagious and dangerous than the flu. Yet he didn’t use the information to protect the Nation. The Trump Administration had intelligence information. That Russia was actively targeting America’s election. Yet, Trump officials went on record identifying China as the biggest threat. So despite knowing, the American Government choosing to spread disinformation. Lawsuit after lawsuit to overturn the election results. One that we’ve been told was the most secure. Recount after recount – all didn’t seem enough. Though no rigging or additional numbers for Trump showed up. Republicans again, going to culture wars. Attacking Biden’s Neanderthal comment. Twisting what he meant. Talking about Dr. Seuss and Mr. Potato Head. Still content to just attack and oppose. Ensuring there is no bipartisan. Not dealing with the social injustice. Blacks disproportionately being killed By those who are there to protect and serve. Which some think none-whites don’t deserve. No meaningful steps to correct. But settling to the victims’ families with monetary payment. Bigotry, racist and hateful rhetoric from political representatives. Not acknowledging that their words have power. How they are being interpreted and devoured. Allowing public servants and other citizens to draw blood. Taxpayers and Americans funding the clean-up. Republicans keep doing different to what they say. And voters keep voting for what they say they dismay. Whether our setbacks are from ignorance or stubbornness – We’re paying for all of this.
Imagine now – The U.S. President working on plans and policies. Focusing on Covid-19 Relief and the economy. Trying to cut overall poverty by one-third, child poverty by a half. Working to finally give to the poor and middle class. Lowering the cost of health-care insurance through the ACA. A much needed boost for some since the pandemic came. Working to increase the minimum wage. Last raised in 2009 to $7.25. Back then Republicans claimed it will be the death of small business. But that didn’t happen. Today they claim the same. And it’s frustrating that people fall for it again. Imagine now – The U.S. President – Not in every News cycle or always having a word in. Not just there for showboating. No constant attacks or stabbing of backs. Basing statements and actions on facts. Individuals and groups, no longer being dehumanized or disparaged. So they become victims and hate-crime targets. Not using his pulpit to bully. Or his power inappropriately. A President showing coherence and eloquence. Able to string words and sentences in a way that makes sense. And is of substance. Not having to repeat “unprecedented”. Or see an uncivilized and coarse new normal being invented. Having strategies explained and aligned with reality. A show of concern, care and empathy. Despite Republicans continued attempts to deceive. This presidential package spells relief.
Life may bring US many challenges. But not every challenge requires battling. At times words can solve. Diplomacy is enough. Sometimes you can join a fight only to realize It’s not your fight at all. That’s when you pull out courage and withdraw. But some continue fighting on. What are they fighting for? Or you, as you tag along? At times we get caught up in other people’s doings. We find ourselves in the wind of another’s rulings. Open your eyes and make sure your heart is in place. You’re not hiding your face. And it’s your brain that’s ticking. Your soul is intact and it’s your life you’re living. And it’s you participating. If you are fighting – it’s a battle of your choosing. Hopefully you’re not just caught up or in for the ride. When you’re involved with real circumstances that affect people’s lives. To go with the flow, just because. Ignore outcome, ramifications and end results – That’s not where you should be. If you want to be honest and live with integrity.
Amidst the rampage of Covid-19. Republican lawmakers’ hands have already been bloodied. Yet Ron Johnson delayed the passing of the Covid Relief Bill. That move was pure obstruct, delay and out of ill-will. A 628 page document to be read. Word after word, breath after breath. Ten plus hours later, ending with no accomplishments. How many Americans died within that time? Did that stunt bring him joy? Did he ever think of the additional lives being destroyed? No Republicans in the House voted for the Covid Relief Bill. The same amount they willfully gave to the rich. And showed no care at the time for the deficit. But when it comes to helping other than the top two percent They have so many excuses to block and prevent. At this time in the Nation’s cycle. While Biden is trying to ensure an after pandemic survival. Republicans have been all out with culture wars – Mr. Potato Head, Dr. Seuss and Neanderthals. The callousness they show. If they were Pinocchios – how long would their noses grow? No matter their tricks – it’s what sticks. Not the end results of helping hands. But the ramifications of political stunts. And they look for their gain, not for any damage they may have done. Blind to the challenges Americans face everyday As they are trying to find their way. Running people’s lives with lies. Seemingly oblivious to the numbers that are disparaged or die. And those who forward or vote these liars in – Do they still walk with lifted chins? Does blood run through their veins? It’s as if they are boxed in to inhumane. Because from their sordid path they still do not stray. It’s their stay and let the chips fall where they may.
No, Trump did not create the hate. But in his leadership he accelerated and instigated. Although further light was brought to the injustices and the inequalities. Trump has been a proponent and promoter of – This is how it should be. He did not lead to combat the wrongs. Or to find solutions. Instead, he became part of the problem. And now it’s not just his go. There is a Party and millions of people backing his show. So even with the so called reckoning and enlightenment They are trying to reduce the speed of real progression. Actually attempting to bring imbalance to many scales. Including that of politics and with voting To disadvantage people who are black and brown. Not even hiding that these are who they want to bring down. Targeting the vulnerable and poor. Always on the hunt for more. Ensuring their best for political scores. As they aim for wins in 2022 and 2024. That actually has been the real steal – The creation and maintenance of unequal fields. Instead of working to reduce the gaps, They are openly perpetuated by some of the higher ups. People who hold legitimate positions in government Are adding to the attacks, division and the suffering. Why can’t people see where America is heading? As fellow Americans stand back and stand by – Where on earth is the outcry?
Republicans are so into deceive and upheaval. They have Democrats continually spinning their wheels. Democrats are trying to govern and develop policy. While preserving government integrity. And protecting America’s democracy. Facing danger in the workplace. Trying to keep saboteurs at bay. People attacking, so they will lose Because of who they choose and will to help. Those not of riches and wealth. Handling so many barriers. Wanting to stay above board and to standard. Striving to serve proper meals. Not just dish out make-believe, feel and perceive. Desert tactics that just bring fear and despair. While aiming for more just and fair.
So empowered, so emboldened. State Republican lawmakers going rouge. Targeting Black and Brown neighborhoods – Making it more difficult for them to vote. So after losing an election. Instead of finding real solutions to woo people to them. Their way again is to change the system. Fiddle with the legislation. Continually siding with corrupt. Engaging in obstruct. Directly aiming for unfair and unjust. When Republicans reject a Democrat proposal They don’t come up with one of their own. Easy to throw stones. Quick to hit out, and that’s where they stop. But the problems don’t just go away After they say the solutions shouldn’t stay. But solutions haven’t been their aim. Grievances, blame, inflame and shame. Unfair tactics, sinister doings, twisted phrasings. They embellish their worth. Manipulate the path for their political growth. Keeping their voters in hold. So tuned in now – they just absorb what they are told. That’s where Republican leaders and their voters stand. Leveraging only for their perceived upper-hand. Never mind the future their now will bring. Never mind America and her World standing. And unfortunately it’s understood – They aim to bring down certain Americans And their neighborhoods. For them, power trumps all. Their lead, their call. Party before democracy. Their foundation – lies and conspiracies. Welcoming the base of White Supremacists and Trump worshippers. You don’t need and interpreter. Their words are clear. They are here and aren’t going anywhere.
More evidence regarding the consequences of deregulation, Less government and hands-off management. That works, until it doesn’t. Of course, when all is well, there’s nothing to tell. But as crises come, we see the wrongs. Though at that point, it’s too late for reform. Like Texas now, which is in a mess. Because the government sanctioned for energy companies to do less. They did not side with courageous for regulations. They bowed to ineffective recommendations. All in for privatization. Which hasn’t been proven to be better than government. History has shown again and again When left to their own, corporations’ profits prevail. Yet voters and Republicans continue with same. Oftentimes, it’s the leaders that stay unscathed. And the man on the street pays. Not only is there a financial toll That comes with the deception and lies we are sold. It’s the suffering, death and devastation That continue to plague citizens throughout the Nation. Because of the deliberate decisions made by leadership. That leave our communities less equipped.
Some Republicans are trying to follow in Trump’s footsteps. Being led by a faction of their constituents. Lawmakers are hostage to their votes. We all know that it would have been a different Republican show. If Trump was a Democrat – No doubt about that. His charades would have fallen flat. But Trump knew which Party to hijack. So too did the Alt-Right. Which group was ripe to embolden them and house their coup. Theirs were not mistakes – Their words, actions and deeds have been deliberate. Some Republicans say they did not mean for this to be. But they need to do some soul searching to see What at their end, made allowances for this to happen. It was an easy call that Trump would not have led with compassion. He leads how he lives – With divisiveness and vindictiveness. But he didn’t keep it within his sphere. He took over to spread it everywhere. His gains lead to America’s loss. That will be felt for some time to come.
Americans’ thoughts and ability to reason have been depleting. We can’t conclude on politicians’ intent. We’re not allowed to make reasonable judgments. Their words can’t incite violence. Their actions need not show competence. Some even claim that politicians’ words don’t inflame. They can say as they may Because they are protected by the First Amendment. They can attack their opponents with vengeance. Manipulate for dilution of the Constitution, Pledge of Allegiance and Declaration of Independence. They can change intended meanings. Put their own spin and interpretations. Make up new terms like alternate facts. Use their position to bully and threaten, never to retract. All that of course is for them and theirs but not for the opposition. With the upper hand and advantage afforded mostly to Republicans. Expectations and demands, severely watered down. The creating of amoral politicians. If we’re not on the same page, Even when it comes to the meaning and effects of words. How can we communicate and be understood? If we’re not on the same page, With standards for how all politicians should behave. Then someone like Trump can take full advantage. Restricting one side while giving free rein to the other. The one with the leeway must feel empowered. Creating a more dysfunctional political system. Americans willed their politics to this position. Some by their saying, doing and alliance. Others by their complaisance, complicity and silence.
With the Q-Anon Congress Woman – Majorie Taylor Greene calling herself a hard worker. And in the same breath she flaunted All the time she will have on her hands For which she has plans to recruit more extremist at tax-payers expense. Does that make sense to you? In choosing her, to represent you – Does she say and behave as you would? Many still seem to give her support. A new kind of politician that people endorse. Some openly wearing Hitler coats. Yet they still are able to garner American votes. And when Republican lawmakers vote their conscience or do the right thing Their fate now is censorship. America has lowered her need For integrity with political and presidential candidacy. Even when leaders are lacking in empathy. Voters don’t respond to show that it’s a necessity. Emerging situation in the State of Texas. A decade ago the government received warnings. But with a combination of climate change deniers And government regulation minimizers. A series of deregulation by a hands-off Republican government. No soul searching, just continuance. Lack of interest to protect their most vulnerable. Conditions to live through are now intolerable. But Ted Cruz didn’t think twice before fleeing to Cancun. When caught, he’s singing a different tune.
It’s not to be anti-church or anti-religion. But advancement of religious doctrine Shouldn’t be more important than effect and outcome. Preaching to an assemblage Can’t be more salient than keeping people safe. Keeping the reversal of Roe V Wade in sight While losing sight of the loss of ground To advancements of social, cultural and political. Getting the ear of a President King. But not hearing the cries of those Who are in pain and are suffering. Moving to clean the sins of secular While using sinful and dirty tactics as regular. Accepting vile, divisive and deceptive as normal. Not singing compassion, service or humility in their chorus. Easy to carry Jesus on a sign. More difficult to genuinely sign on And stick to God’s true message and plan. Religious leaders need to go back to seeing their congregation As Children of God, not as opportunities for votes. If the aim is no longer to separate Church from State And church leaders’ ties to politicians become common and legitimate. Then the powerful political will be able to dictate our worshipping. And you may be fine if it’s yours. But if that ever changes course Only then would you realize that religious freedom was lost.
Trump and Republicans have been low on empathy, High on deception. Always with a bag of tricks. Readily and willingly manipulating. Now they want to claim that their way is best. Why didn’t they implement When they occupied the West Wing And bring out a bill to deal with Covid? It’s not just this low that the Republicans give. It’s been their M.O. when it comes to how Black and Brown people should live. As if America should only be Conservative and Caucasian. Lindsey Graham said that much. Which seem to be the grudge of many Republicans. And how many immigrants, now citizens Truly understand the plight of our African American fellowmen? Or do they sit back and judge Just like the Alt-Right and some Republicans? Historians, scholars, lawyers and behind-closed-doors Republicans All in to impeach Trump. But no matter what is said and done, regardless of evidence Republicans remain tribal and partisan. Another low … how far does the bottom of their pit go?
McCarthy blaming Democrats for inflaming the situation with Majorie Taylor-Greene. Because they called for votes to remove her from Committees. Never mind what McConnell said. He was more direct with his scathing comments. The Party censuring members for telling the truth And voting their conscience. While giving Taylor-Greene a standing ovation. Wanting to demote Liz Cheney because of her vote to impeach. Cancel her and strip her leadership – don’t want her unleashed! Then threatening Democrats with the same. But it’s not a game – It shouldn’t be tit for tat or body for body. Greene is far from conventional and ordinary. To her, opposition is traitor and enemy. Defiance and lies projected even when she isn’t speaking. “Trump won”, “Censored” – all these messages on her masks for reading. As with other Republican colleagues – Don’t want to wear a mask. Don’t want to go through the added security. Easily insulted when they can’t do as they please. No remorse or backing down. And other colleagues are expected to carry on as normal.
America’s history lessons are filled with omissions. What America’s education refuses to teach is very telling. And many Americans are just fine not knowing. But it’s with that lack of knowledge And acknowledgment that we judge. And it’s amazing the potential for errors When facts are left out as we make decisions. Some parents don’t even want what’s being taught During Black History month. Adding to the ignorance and ills of the Nation. The history of how America was built Is affecting America still. Generational trauma is real. And from that America needs to heal. Ignoring Black history will not erase Blacks from American Society. Emancipation on the books didn’t make them free. The lack of such historical context can lead to dishonest. How can America have true integration – When the history of Blacks Is a minimal part of American History Education?
How can Jesus take the wheel? When our listen is based on what we think we should hear. And our destination is already determined by our mind-set. When our opinions decide our actions. Skin-color, Party and ideology drives our transactions. Worldly wins decide our course. And a man who made an “Only I can fix it” call. Becomes our be-all and end-all. We need to face the reality of our situations. Not just choose information That would make us feel like we reached the destination we want. Faith is knowing that Jesus is at the wheel. When we need. So you have to have Faith to let the wheel go. And Faith must show for Faith to work.
The systemic changes that are needed To make the playing field more even – Are what many still reject. Yet they profess to be champions for the poor. Maybe only through handouts, nothing more. Wanting to keep their fingers on the pulse And the ability to control the results. When it comes to making true or systemic change. They step in and try to delay. Even those who say they live by Jesus Stay believing and give reasons Why government should not be involved And make attempts for MEANINGFUL resolve. We want and vote for advancements for ourselves. Why should they not be available for everyone else?
Why are Republicans in government? Privilege, control, empowerment? When last did they write their own policy? Or truly work in good faith with honesty and integrity. They’ve stood for anti-Democrat, Now their legacy will be anti-democracy. So easy to pick a fight But never a fight for the People. McConnell labeled himself – the Grimm Reaper. So proud of what he’s done as an obstructer. Republican leaders are always measuring. Putting their finger to the wind. Finding which way it will blow. Because that determines the direction they will go.
As the Republican Party goes forward Will their leaders show moral and political courage? Or give in to the radical, violent, racist part of their base? Banking on their “ordinary” members to march in place. Combined with continued attempts at voter suppression. Especially States that saw Biden win in the last election. Still going for their win. Still with divisive tactics. Those trying to fight for right, being ostracized. Those promoting conspiracies and hate, being elevated. There is no doubt – Some had enough of the crazy train and are bailing out. But leaving space for more crazy to fill in. Will Republicans continue to do whatever they can for the win? And would “ordinary” people keep giving in To their craziness?
With the right motives, government is not the enemy. During these times of Covid, it’s actually needed. Government should do what is best for the majority. People should feel free and secure. And not have to depend on security to carry out daily activities. Government rules and regulations should aim At keeping the public safe. Not just for the limited monetary gain of few. Nor to promote personal ideology or points of view. Government officials are public servants Hired to work for US. Not for advancing a movement. Character and motive are important in leadership. The leaders should have some knowledge and understanding. There should be cooperation and collaboration. Not decisions by only one. At least that is how it should be. If you want to continue living in a democracy.
The truth of the Republican Party has been told. They’ve been compromised – As they try to keep their power and political hold. Deciding not to alienate the side That uses racism and hatred as their guide. Allowing them to get traction and footing By continually lying to the Nation.
If you’re thinking that any time soon Supporting Republicans is the thing to do. Come 2022 or 2024. A Republican is who you will be voting for. Then you did not learn any lesson. And you don’t understand the need for consequences. When such behaviors occur and they are not deterred. That’s an invitation for them to do what they did again. You will be no better than them. In fact you will show that you are less. Because you’ve seen the effects of what they do. And at least for now, the power to choose still lies with you.
Americans often resist, having their tax money Pay for preventative or assist. But they don’t blink an eye when much of the pie Goes to Military or for Security. Needed now in so many levels of our Society. It comes with a cost, not just financial of course. But community, social, recreational programs then end. Less provision for the community and community experience. More isolation and opportunities for extremism. Continued limiting and gutting of such programs Will only add to our societal problems.
It’s disconcerting that Americans did not see The threat to America’s democracy. Or that if they did, they did not perceive There was a need to act with urgency. Some can’t fathom why the likes of Hawley, Cruz and Greene Should not be allowed to keep their seats. Why it is so important that Trump is impeached. Not appreciating the need for consequences. Or seeing the need to limit the damage to less extensive. And that if these behaviors are not curbed. They will fester to even more disturbed. Many Americans now show acceptance To uncivil, aggressive and violent. Fooling themselves when they say They denounce such behaviors. Yet they keep supporting the ones who misbehave. They must be all in, as they offer no message against.
How can America have Unity – When Republicans continue to paint an alternate reality? When their political strategy is to divide. And advance culture wars to benefit their side. How can America find true answers – When the Political Parties are held to such different standards? How can America strive – When one Party actively seeks to deprive certain lives? Americans have failed to see and deal with that truth. And until they do, her present path will continue. America will not get beyond where she is and grow. Because Americans continue to keep her so.
Will you be aware if you’ve sold your soul? If you’ve gone down that road, And you can’t find your way back? If you’re far gone from the spiritual, moral and ethical track? The mind is very powerful and we can hide from ourselves. Justify why and how we got there.
Trump made himself as the gift to be received. He has not been here for America’s gain Or to highlight the good she could achieve. Instead he made it all about him and his name. As a leader, he made himself greater than his gives. You are called to be loyal to stand with him. And put his name and his aims above everything. So displaying Trump signs while professing God is # 1 – Without fail, has to be the most obvious contradiction.
McConnell has been keeping Trump controlled. Conviction by impeachment on hold. While news media are being told – If it had been a secret ballot Impeachment would have been more on the side of valid. Alexei Navalny putting his life on the line for democracy. Not giving in to Putin. While America flirts with the idea of a strong-man President. Not showing appreciation for the American systems. It’s sobering to learn the ease At which nefarious leaders succeed. Understandable how Hitler got through. Trump erases what for Americans were true. Now that America has been led along this path. It’s an arduous track to back-track. And it has come to this. Violence in our politics. More troops in our Nation’s Capital. Than deployed to Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Fear of attacks in every State. Yet many Americans say Trump made America great.
Republicans act as if Unity is a one-way street. No responsibility to them, has been their belief. Or their definition it seems – There can’t be Unity, when with them, Democrats fail to agree. If America is to truly unite Then the Right has to stop their fight Against truth and non-White voters. Stop using fear and slander as their promoters. Their leaders have to unite with values, norms and rules. Stop using divide as one of their political tools. Stop the spread of overthrow and everything goes. If America has to heal – Republicans have to admit there was no steal. That it was a legitimate win for the Biden-Harris team.
Some say it started with the lie about his Inauguration crowd size. But in his role of politician, It was from his descent on the escalator that it began. People minimized and thought they could compartmentalize Trump’s lies. He lied as a businessman, but he won’t as a politician. He lied to others, but won’t to US. Often twisting themselves in knots. Thinking he looks or talks like US, No way would he throw US under the bus. But he spoke and showed that he was dangerous and unfit. Yet many chose not to see or believe it. They willingly looked beyond him and his lies. Which was too bright – His lies or his White? What does a White man like him have to do? To prove to others that he can be untrue, dangerous or cruel?
Being White and tied to Trump, Allowed people to enter the Capitol. It wasn’t a lack of intelligence. It was the absence of will to look beyond the color of their skin. Known White Supremacists and anti-Semitics Who stand for what many more seem to now stand for. And, because they stood with Him, they were allowed to enter in. No preparations were done to keep them out. Similarly, many voted for Trump because of his gives. But the willingness to overlook what he says and does. Is because of the color of his skin. Americans need to do some soul searching. Which of you hold that bias deep within?
What we now see in our Country, Is a combination of what people choose to believe And who they chose to lead. How their leaders led. What they did and said. The feedback loop from voters to them. And the cycle repeating itself. Under normal circumstances, America will strive. But when the bases are lies. Nothing good will grow. Because there is toxicity with what was sown.
Republican leaders are afraid about decisions made. That will infuriate Trump’s base. They refrain from standing with right Because they fear for their and their families’ lives. They did the same to avoid Trump’s ravage and rage. Which side do you need to pander to? To avoid violence from ensuing? The rioters stormed Capitol Hill in the name of Trump. And to them he was supportive, giving them his love. People identified as Supremacists and anti-Semitic. With intent to capture, beat, hang and assassinate. Despite their endgame of torture and kill. Tolerance and sufferance, shown to them still.
Experts and historians have been drawing a direct line To Hitler’s rise and the path of Trump. So many believing his lies. Politicians, rich and big businesses at his side. Stroking fears of socialism and communism. With those knowing better staying silent, mute. They too peddling untruths. Arnold Schawarzeneggar referenced the Night of the Broken Glass – Compared it to the attack on the Capitol by the anti-Semitic mass. Nights of rampage against Jews by much of the same As the Proud Boys, equated to Nazis, just under a different name. And “ordinary” people participating, Powered by the lies they keep ingesting. Infused – America’s “ordinary” citizens With Trump and the Republican crew.
Trump and Republicans have been pairing the Left with violence. They successfully tainted the original BLM – Branding them as anti-law enforcement. And those who marched with Trump Said they sided with law enforcement. Trump, had to be convinced to condemn the violence. The Law and Order President. By not doing so, The power of these militia groups will likely grow. Showing no concern for Blue lives these days. When it really matters to keep them safe. It is clear, insurgents are everywhere. In law enforcement, military and the political sphere. A new group of Republicans, not just as enablers But believers in Trump and his cause. Acting like and seemingly thinking they are above the law. Embedded with them are those sympathetic to White Supremacist. Believed to be backed by some current Politicians. Many are pro-gun too. So in America, we now have quite a brew. A continued threat to me and you. And unfortunately a direct threat to Blue too.
People confuse their wants as America’s needs. And they let their emotions, bias and stereotypes lead. They even vote against their own benefit. Because they’ve been convinced certain choices are the better fit, Especially when they label themselves Conservatives. They dismiss when they are told the truth. And go with those who give their fantasies a boost. They ignore the problems that are there. Dismiss science and solid guidance for entertainment and fanfare. Then there are those who see limited pie. They are not shy to dismiss all else, to keep their slice. And when their leaders betray what is moral, humane, just or fair The voters remain unfazed, and overlook their behavior. Truth, law and accountability – Ingredients for a healthy society and democracy. These have been consistently rejected By the Republicans and the Right. Voters lacking insight and foresight. And if these are what the voters continue to vote against. In America, insurgence and violence will cement.
Americans had several chances and opportunities To steer America away from the direction that led here. Many stood with the dismissal of Unity Choosing Party, personal gain, hatred, lies and fear. And it’s regular folks like you and me. Who chose to side with the group that housed the extreme. Proud Boys embedded in the Latinos for Trump group. Yard signs seen around my neighborhood. Some still fly their Trump flags high. Around me there still are Latinos for Trump signs. Yes, threats to America have been from extremists. But also too, the enablers and complaisant moderates. And unfortunately, there are enough of them in US. To have a significant influence. America is not greater than what happened on January 6th. That, we need to admit. Until we face that truth, how can we move to improve?
Many Americans going to the extreme, becoming radicalized. Propelled by political leaders who are fed by greed – Their loyalty compromised. And even those who didn’t fully believe in their ideology and conspiracies Have been in line with them politically. Voting and deciding as they will. Agreeing with them still. Tolerating, sometimes welcoming. Doing that was like striking a match or fanning the flames. Also siding with an autocrat, Cult, and a Party which really needs to change its name. No longer Republican, it’s the Party of Trump. He and his crew have admitted to this. So hanging with them, puts you on their list. The rioters did what they did in the name of Trump. And those who have been supporters and enablers Are all contributors to what they’ve all done.
This law and order crew – Inciting violence, threatening, attacking and killing Blue. Tying themselves in knots As they brag about what they did Although, the violent parts, they say they did not. You said you were for Blue. Yet Blue blood was shed because of you. As with the leader, you don’t speak the truth And there is no loyalty too. More threats are in the air throughout the entire country. More potential danger for the Police. Yet it’s the Left that are branded as violent And the enemy of Law Enforcement.
The Power of the Powerful
These leaders are making themselves greater than what they are willing to give. It’s to the power that they are now enslaved. No longer public servants. Nor is serving the citizens their purpose. And with the failure to place limits. They become addicted to seeing their powerful image. So if they are continually let go. They will become more powerful. More difficult to contain. Less ability to restrain. That’s the path that is being created. As the powerful keeps getting elevated.
If you continue to feel safe Because you suffered no direct negative Due to Covid-19 and the downturn of the economy. You still have to live with the carnage. And if you’re still sold on what Trump throws. Let’s hope you have unlimited resources. And an abundance of resilience. Because the damage from what he’s done Will be here for the long run. Many Americans will not prosper, They will just be dragging along. And when parts of a body are diseased. It will be more difficult – What used to happen with ease and living to full potential, Will now take a back seat. As there is so much hurt – physical, emotional, financial, social and political.
Throughout the World, there is globalization. Americans going for insolation. As we are more vulnerable to pandemic threats. Science is what Americans reject. Our circumstances call for coordination and cooperation There is support for separation, division and individualism. Even as Mother Earth mumbles, grumbles and shakes. Many deny the effects of climate change. Despite evidence of systemic injustice and inequality To sections of society. People still think that such instances are anomalies. Belief that Republican rule is better for the economy. When that is not what’s shown in the Country’s history.
Our relationship with fact and truth Affects the solutions we choose. At times our solutions may be ineffective. Because our assessments are defective. The results that then ensue, may not be for improvement. More likely for slow innovations and advancements. Choices leading to limitations not expansions. Benefits, there may be some – Not prepared for what’s to come. Failing to recognize that flaw and the flaws in our thinking, Like choosing to sail on the Titanic Ignoring the end result of her sinking. And we may be able to go for a while and dismiss. But there will be no place to hide, when disaster hits.
Sometimes life gives us lemons or we see difficult times. That’s when we need hope as a light to shine. Prayer as a life-line, our connection with divine. We may be tempted to give in to tire. But our faith tells us we are built to withstand our trials. So now is the time to stay alert. Keep going as we work through the hurt. We may trip, fall or come to a crawl. But even as our body trails, our mind and spirit need not fail. Hydrate with good and good news. Energize with appreciation and gratitude. Don’t sit in rage or disengage. Keep moving along – go around the obstacles. No need to be passive aggressive. Where possible, be productive and assertive. Discipline and resilience – words to feed on. Decisiveness to stay in for the long haul. And no, feelings of distress may not totally go away. But our state may change if the cobwebs and fog dissipate. Sing songs that uplift. Use our God-given gifts. That’s what we are all called to do – And the rest, as we know, will follow through. Because when we stand on the side of love, just, fair and right. It will always be worth it for us to stay in the fight and fight.
It’s curious, that around Trump people coalesce. A man whose pit is bottomless. He is one to trap. Take you to hell and back. Make you abandon compassionate words. Force you to stay loyal. With all the doing and giving. It’s for him you end up living. Here and there he may give a win. But in the end, the prize must go to him. If someone ever tries to slow down, stop or pass the baton. He disqualifies their run. Either they leave or he kicks them off the team. Some think they save face. But they look a disgrace, doing the walk of shame.
When you’re faced with adversity, don’t try to disguise it. Don’t hide from the truth to give yourself a boost. It may feel good in the short term, but in the long run it could hurt. When you move off reality lane, There’s a chance you will create more problems for yourself. You won’t be aware when a true solution is there. And you may add fuel to the fire instead.
From afar any light can look like a star. But under the spotlight, we show who we are. Easy to stand for good, when you feel good Or good is expected your way. Then you’re all in for the altruistic pay. But when there’s a test – A circumstance that you MAY get less, in order for others to get a boost. Then your do-gooder grip gets loose. There is good and bad in us all. But for anyone to stand tall, A show by hand doesn’t cut it. It’s what glows from the heart, mind and spirit.
Sometimes we are offered help, but we view it as a threat. Because we label those doing the outreach, as the enemy. At times solutions or angels come our way. But we’re so focused on dismay, that we let them go by. Then we complain and ask why. You can bring a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. You can’t save a drowning man when he rejects the line you give him. Until we accept the help and not condemn. We will be contributing to our own problems.
Americans supposedly want the abuse to stop. When some of the same, side with the abusers. As their resources and wealth disappear. They embrace the thieves and sellers of air. While looking up to the bully and instigator. They say it is peace and safety that they favor. People who are stressed and demoralized. Revering the ones who put their needs to the side. Experiencing Covid-19 fatigue. Protecting the ones who allowed the spread of the disease. Despite the continuation of the Country’s descent. Still praising and placing faith in the Con-Artist President.
We can’t stop the steal If people don’t release their hold to the Republican Party. More of them need to be courageous and bold. Admit this is not the Republican Party of old. It’s time to fight the true enemies. Defend in the wars that are real. Stop siding with the grim reaper in the Oval Office. Put the likes of the KKK back in the closet. Truth again would have to reign. But none of this will happen. If people don’t abandon the current Republicans and their lead. Recognize that they are the con men, killers and thieves.
Some on the Right have been stockpiling guns To defend against the Left and the Government. Yet it’s the Right and their political side That are instigating the fights. Infringing on citizens. Having links to domestic terrorism. It’s the Right entering the suburbs Armed with guns to harm and hurt. In public and on private property. Threatening the innocent and their families. Political figures attacking those Who are seen to step outside the lines they defined. And those who try to stay in line with the Constitution. Are met with protest and death threats. Were their fears projections, deliberate aim at misdirection? Awareness of what they themselves would chose. The many wrongs they are willing to do. But now the Left is at the receiving end Of what the Right said they had to defend against.
People try to walk the line. Fool themselves into thinking that all is fine. To choose Trump and claim they don’t care much for his tweets. Supposedly liking his policies. Of which there have been few. Preferring he didn’t engage in his extra-curricular activities. But they need to face the truth. There is no way to separate – The ways from the man. The attitude from his plans. His character from his actions. Defending him is like trying to do the same to the KKK. Saying they would be good people – If only their ideology wasn’t based in hate.
Do people think that God limited Trump to one term? Or was that deed done by the devil? If there was acceptance that Trump’s win was God’s Will, How could it not be the same for Biden? Some Religious are holding vigils. For what are they praying? That valid Biden votes will be tossed away? As Trump encourages his disciples to engage in foul play. That people will lie and cheat to place Trump on top? And doing what’s fair and just will stop? For ballots to be thrown away? As if God needs a hand now to have Trump stay. That Election officials won’t certify the fair win? And like Peter, Republicans will keep denying? That God will reverse Biden as the President-Elect? Because these people, not God, knows best? Picking and choosing, as if off a menu. Not accepting what has ensued. Trying to justify their give in to what supports the sin. Isn’t that what the pagans did?
My body, my choice. Now it’s relevant because it’s your voice. Never having a care, when you denied theirs. Even as a medical option. Your dismissal of abortion. Shameless and highly hypocritical. Supposedly you voted for Trump because Of his pro-life stance. Joining in the Trumpian dance. Excited about his crusade to overturn Roe v Wade. Back then, to you, life was paramount. Now you turn your back on the Covid-19 death count.
For life to go smooth, we flow within our groove. We often see what we believe. Because we actively seek what makes our belief real. And we ignore all that underscores. Reasoning and deductions become flawed. We jump to the wrong conclusions. Subconsciously we absorb into our psyche Our expectations, transferred to reality. So we stay aligned with what was applied. Not churning in our minds – If what’s before US makes sense. If there will be consequence to US, others, even our descendants. Creating for ourselves an insulated space. Filled with baseless claims.
Actions now are often out of self-interests. Not for the Right or good for the public. No center to social communal benefit. Ignoring the science that comes with it. Disregarding defined safety rules. Doing as they choose. Not wanting to tighten the belt in the here and now. For what will bring a greater effect or make US stronger in the future. This type of living doesn’t demand thinking, caring or discipline. Only giving in to impulses. For some, America(ns) new definition of Freedom. Reflected in an admired ringleader. Who effectively promoted this type of vision.
When your life’s goals are based on questioning your worth. Not on who you are or what you stand for. You will be forever looking. But when you’re not sure what you’re looking for. How would you know when you’ve scored? You’re prone to slip into a bottomless pit. Fighting yourself from within. That’s the gift Trump gave to America. As he made US believe in his MAGA slogan. But greatness doesn’t come from how much you collect Or from what you get. It’s your character and the values you project. That’s what Lady Liberty represents. Her torch, the light that reflected her greatness. Established through her values and her systems. Allowing for that light to go out. Her people will forever be hurting. And as long as her greatness remains in doubt. America(ns) will always be searching.
Peas from the same pod- The present government and some Americans. Watering down what made America strong. Not caring when people are suffering. Selling out democracy for power and money. Harming citizens, even children to promote religion and ideology. Putting personal before community. Granting themselves immunity. Not acknowledging the many wrongs. Self-placement on the pedestal. How long will this go on? It seems – so many parallels. Among Republicans, Him and them. Will this ever come to an end?
For Trump and the Republicans, The wrong-doings list is long. As they’ve been given a pass when it comes to wrong. It’s not just what they feel they can take. It’s also what they are freely given. Often reinforced despite how they behave. So now they are highly driven. And it’s not just the color or status of the leader. It’s who the leader and the Party represents That decides on who is granted that all-out consent. If Non-Caucasian or of less privileged descent – You’re more likely a part of the malcontent. It’s been obvious which side and Party gets what. Who is at the back of the line and which is at the front. Trump and Republicans have been given such leeway. The benefits of White and Privileged on full display.
If people are willing to accept disingenuity In others and for themselves. Then integrity and ingenuity are values no longer cherished. And their absence will hold no consequence. Taking our Society to the direction of improprieties. If we allow such values to become dinosaurs. We will be closing some of humanity’s doors. At least then we will no longer have to pretend. What and who we truly are will definitely show in the end.
Many don’t realize the power of Right Wing Media. And people don’t see or admit to their hand in it either. Not just for promotion of a World View. Directly to affect politics and elections too. Buying into the extreme with deliberate deception. Usage of words and information as weapons. Leading people to believe in another reality That has and will be detrimental to democracy. America is vulnerable
Many Americans are confused. Unsure what they should do. Not knowing who or what to trust. Having difficulty when they need to adjust. And just like teens who frequent the gang scenes. Not hesitating to do wrong. Wanting to look strong and feel like they belong. Engaging in whatever gimmick. To feel like they fit in. That’s where many Americans stand. Primed to be putty in someone’s hand.
Many Americans have failed to see That systemic racism exists in this Country. Often it’s because they go by their feel. And not focus on what is real. They also look through their own lens. Not from the view of the victims. A racist believes that his or her race is superior. Doesn’t care that there is injustice to others who are seen as inferior. In defining a Racist – “Yes” is an absolute for some. Openly displayed by their words and actions. But when it comes to “not” – that part is on a continuum. For most, it’s not a cold no. It’s how much you contribute or show As well as tolerate and promote.
America’s loss on the World stage is not just power. No longer able to influence the World’s direction. Broken alliances that help with our protection. And they can’t trust US with any secret For fear we vote someone in who will reveal it. And though Trump tried to paint Biden as the weak one. It’s under his Presidency that North Korea, Russia and China have been strengthened. They’ve been building alliances – political and economic. And that leaves Americans in the position Of being the losers and suckers. Under Trump’s watch, America has been in isolation. Like an island in the middle of nowhere. And many Americans think all this has made America great. But behind the mirage, It’s just another of Trump’s casino fails.
Hate groups openly marching in Washington D.C. To protest the dump of their beloved Trump. What they mean and feel was easily seen. Reflected in what they spoke and wrote. A disturbing sign that made Eric Shawn of Fox News wince. He doesn’t see how they contribute to this? “Coming for Blacks, Indians. First Welcome to the New World Order”. Why surprised when these groups were promoted further? “Arrest Fauci and Gates” – Reversal of all this, may be too late. Even before, Steve Bannon called for Fauci’s head. And opposition to Trump have led to firings and death threats. All this is real – It’s happening in our “democracy”. As Trump sits on his throne, cheering them on.
Biden will be my President. Not because he’s a Democrat. Or because I may align with his political format. But because he said he would be – If he won the Presidency. And he didn’t ask for loyalty. He asked for cooperation and unity. No need to abandon values and standards To follow him as Chief and Commander. With Trump that was not an option. From the start he was for Personal gain, division and rejection. Lies, chaos, fiction and friction. And for his closing act – He’s doing just what he did at the start.
America has spoken – But it’s not clear what some want
For the incoming Biden-Harris Administration, Republicans already engage in obstruction. Will the people too, no matter what, show rejection? If that’s the case, many Americans have to face – Who they truly are. Figure out what they’re about. And then decide what it is that they really want. Let’s hope that by the time they figure it out. America wouldn’t have had a sell-out. And it won’t be too late for a turn-about.
We criticized when the Right did wrong. We can’t ignore what we’ve said all along. We don’t want to become like the Republicans. Unjust, unfair and hypocritical. So as we move forward. We should stay aligned with the values we stand for. We need to follow our own lead. Through our action, words and deeds. It’s easy to hold others accountable. Our true colors show when we’re held responsible.
So now that the elections are done. How can America move on? Voters need to recognize and rebuke What the Republicans have become. Release from the hold of Trump. Stop the amoral Republicans. Ditch the rhetoric and the politics. Disallow the McConnell and Graham-like tricks. Dismiss true “Fake News” and disinformation. Release from the influence of social media. Understand what each side feels. Focus on the truth and what is real. See the wrongs that were and are being done. Admit that this has gone on for too long. And the extremes must be dropped for now. Aim for the center, to bring more people together.
Fox News and their like – No shortage on the conservative side. Continue their dis-service with bias and lies. Disguised as news, When it’s personal views and political agendas. Not always facts, but often propaganda.
If Americans reject what Fox News and their likes bring, They wouldn’t be continuing. But instead they are accepted, even embraced. Now truth is displaced, and they are a mainstay. To which people hold and never break. Dangerous contributors to conspiracies, lies and hypocrisy. Continued threats to America and America’s democracy.
No the Left isn’t perfect, neither is the Right. And moderate should lead to more being satisfied. For that, there must be compromise. And the extreme to one sided politics that has been in place for years. Has to stop for America to change gears. If we can’t agree that Trump should be an anomaly. That We the People and Politicians should side with fairness and decency. If there is rejection of values, norms and rules. If to human rights and democracy we don’t stay true. If people reject facts and embrace fiction. And they stay in their lanes of belief and misinformation. Then there is no hope for America’s unification. We can’t stay divided on those And have hopes to be united as a Nation.
And now the Country is split. Half chose to abandon what America stood for, to go with Him. So the 2020 election showed America’s great divide – Reject Trump or stand by his side. Until Americans break from his influence. They may not agree, or see a need to be united again.
Many think One-Way. But a Two-Way street may be more efficient. And in life’s race, If we all move at a steady pace, It will make for a better flow Than if some go fast and others are slow. There are others who can’t keep up And likely will slow us all down But if they get what they need To bring them up to speed It will benefit US all in the long run.
When we vote in an Election It should be based on solid information. On truth, not delusions and illusions. Not just on candidates’ complaints, But their proposed solutions. It shouldn’t be a guess Or settling for less. You have the choices – Own one. Know why and be able to stand with your best decision.
There is no incentive for corporations to change. Republicans and Trump gave them an even bigger stage. If you don’t want Government to rule over you. Well Republicans and Trump have made your wish come true. Without regulations and governing, Special interests and corporations have free reign. If these Companies are given the power by our leaders, Who will be the citizen’s and consumer’s keepers?
So as Whites and Republicans fight to keep their status. And to obtain that, other lives don’t matter. Seems similar to others’ aims – That of White Supremacists and the KKK. Members of all of these groups May be more alike than they care to admit. In the words of the Bob Marley hit: “Who the cap fit, let them wear it”.
So many red flags that people ignore. Maybe they think the “red” is just the symbol of Republican. From Trump’s four-year-tale to what he says on the campaign trail. What he is doing and what he did. To the way he handles Covid. Just based on his character flaws Experts felt they had enough cause To sound the alarm and alert The American people of the adverse. Why he doesn’t deserve our votes. We can’t become complacent. Too many red flags flying in our faces. So much evidence – He’s not fit to be President.
Character, leadership, morality and integrity Are still essential for Public officials and the Presidency. Because they and Trump don’t embrace any of those It doesn’t mean they are to be disposed. The President and our public servants Should fit into our value system. We should not change our value system To keep our government officials and the President. That is what America is doing – Trump provides the weapons and his minions are shooting.
People often say that they despise politicians – They lie, they cheat, and they can’t be trusted. People wish Politicians were more forthcoming and honest. Well – a blatant contrast between these two men. Values they stand for and how they present themselves. So a choice between these two will be very telling. If there was any truth to People’s previous complaints. And what People truly want, in and from their politicians.
I am Human – That, I cannot change. Will you be humane, for Humanity’s sake? We are all Human – Already here, already born. We don’t need someone’s blessing or permission To feel or think that we belong. We hope that toward us, others are humane. But we must remember that to them We are obligated to do the same.
So the Swamp is not being drained. Just re-branded, with a new Name. Nothing done of substance. Voters and Citizens are now participants. By giving Trump a pass and free reign. He’s building the Swamp to his benefit. Just as he puts his name on buildings. He’s doing a Trump brand name re-labeling. This time to America’s business.
We all need limits, structure and discipline. Or we will be a society of chaos and lawlessness. And if it’s not there for the Nation’s top job. How can it be expected for all of US? We are seeing how emboldened people have become. To promote themselves and their personal freedoms.
Trump would have US believe Our present circumstance is because of Obama, Biden and Hillary. When in truth we are living in Trump’s Country. He is the one who has had control. With him and the Republicans in much of the decision roles. Yet voters still blame the Democrats. How on earth do they keep doing that?
Lying, cheating, name-calling, Selfish behaviors, bullying. Not being clear with his words. Not showing kindness or empathy when he should. Self-serving, lacking discipline, not being responsible, Taking advantage of the vulnerable. Expecting much, giving nothing in return. Not showing concern. Demanding loyalty, not caring about others, Not standing to help the poor, Giving more worth to those who have more. Is this the model you show to your children? What do you tell them? Who would you tell them to follow? A Man with character or the one that is shallow?
As individuals, families and communities. We are trying to protect ourselves. But we have to realize That it’s the President Who has been and continues to be One of America’s greatest threats. He’s been a spreader of propaganda, hate and lies. Now he’s a physical spreader of the virus. It’s getting more and more difficult to deny – Standing with Trump’s can sicken you or cause you to die.
It’s to Trump that many have chosen to listen. Though he has proven himself as an unreliable source. But people have for whatever reason Invested in him as a cause. Yet he shouldn’t be the priority. The focus should be on the American People. Politics isn’t about what the People can give to a President. It’s not for the People or the Nation to fit his Agenda. He needs to serve, plan and project. He doesn’t have to be perfect. But he does need to care beyond himself. And extend his reach beyond his base as well. America may have had a chance to stay great. If voters and Trump had the priorities straight.
Voters who stand with Trump no matter what. Not like he’s a President, but as the leader of a Cult. The President himself, his deeds and what he says With his voters and enablers, Have become America’s National Threat.
It’s not just the politicians, it’s the people too. Their choices no longer align with character, morals or values. Imagine the Alt-Right and people like Trump Have a societal place. While people are voting against, despising and hating People of Color, the poor and gay. Imagine Jews and the likes of the KKK Supporting the same Presidential candidate. A Republican Jewish Coalition Spending 3.5 million in support of Trump Even after he failed to denounce the Alt-Right Militia.
It’s unfortunate that even as President, He doesn’t set a better example. And for sure, it was no accident – Thinking $750.00 in taxes was ample. He doesn’t feel a need to contribute. He doesn’t curb his attitude – Bold and brass, he garners foreign money. Puts less into America’s failing economy. While he pays little or no tax – he gets much in return. And as taxpayers we get to bank headaches and ongoing concerns.
To all those who have lost a loved one. Many are mourning with you and for your loss. Then there are those who are still struggling With health problems left by Covid. May you all somehow find strength and peace. May your pain and suffering decrease, to allow you emotional relief.
Just an observation, with our creation – There are so many Black and White blends. There must be a message that the Universe sends. It’s our minds that do the limiting. We must choose – That’s our thinking. But maybe neither side has to go under. It may not have to be one OR the other. For our survival it’s likely better. When we put our focus on together.
It appears that many who claim to be Pro-Life Are not truly for that Cause. Instead they aim mainly to promote anti-abortion laws. True pro-lifers are not the Religious or the Republican. Nor are they those who just stand against abortion. It’s the Ones who fight for equality And against the Injustices they see. Not just with the police But at every level in our Society. It’s those who put Country first And for the masses they give their vote. Regardless of Color, Creed or Race. For ALL to have opportunity and space.
Trump has already claimed victory over Covid And for an economic recovery. While people are still getting sick And are running out of money. Two to three times more total infections per capita Than our neighbors to the North. On plans and implementations, we have definitely fallen short. Almost twice as many deaths for US than these Canadian friends. So while others are making strides we’re still at the stage of pretend.
We know what we would get under the current management. The opposite of what Trump does and says – Is what is needed for America’s President. There should be motivation to want and to do different. Let’s hope there are enough to accomplish that. We need for America to get back on track.
Win at all cost has been Republican’s and Trump’s motto. That has been supported by many of their voters. That’s the one-sidedness that blooms today. When, as with life, there should be more balance to the scale. When we overindulge, there is often a cost. That type of greed to proceed already comes with a loss. Because to implement what’s being done. Part of America’s soul must already be gone.
Humanity would benefit from US moving forward. But advancing at the expense of others makes us coward. We then become an insult to our own intelligence, And a danger to our human(e) existence. God made us with a mind, heart and soul. As well as the ability to reason. But we let our bias, self-interest and ego Take over and do the leading. If we lose our desire to be humane, America will never be great again.
People don’t realize the strength of Trump’s influence. Combined that with manipulation and interference. He’s breaking down how America was meant to be. He’s re-branding and placing his name for all to see. He’s uses his corrupt ways and skills like a super power. Meticulously building himself another tower.
Let’s hope before it’s too late people will see all that’s on the plate. He keeps them confused and distracted. As you will, a psychological captive. And they are being led to what they fled from their Country years ago. A strongman doesn’t have to wear fatigues Or take over blow by blow. He can be rich and wear a suit. Still dangerous in his pursuit, though meticulous or slow.
You can deny it with your words. You can repress it with your thoughts. You can pretend with all your might, That what’s in your heart is pure. But the truth has a way of haunting us. In some way, shape or form. No matter how you try to keep it from yourself. You can’t conceal it from the Universe. You can’t hide it from your God!

Living by the “love one another” rule, That’s a daunting task for anyone to do. Love someone who doesn’t love you! Accept anyone who is different from you! But there is a way for you to work on getting there – With your words, actions and deeds – Be Just and Fair
Some people who have, want to control who gets. Because if everyone has an equal chance They’re afraid they will end up with less. But when you are given – you should give. If you are blessed – contribute to another’s success. Don’t let fear make you selfish. There is much to cherish when you are doing the helping. And when you have – don’t take it for granted. Your life can easily shift. You never know when the tables may turn. And then it’s YOU that’s needing a lift.
